District Rico

I kept seeing my buddies bring this food for lunch. So one night I stopped in and grabbed some of the chicken and brussels sprouts myself. It was really good and very flavorful and they give you a lot. I'm actually kind of craving it right now.

Honestly one of the best Peruvian Pollos I have had in the DMV. They are very generous with sizes, the plátains are always sweet and soft, the yuca is always on point. They also have some desserts. The place is clean and very spacious. I would recommend to work on the service, they did not answer my questions, and somehow defensive when asking for a sauce. It is a good option when hosting large parties, or when you didn't have time to make dinner.

As an ardent fan of the H Street location, I wanted to try out the location off Rhode Island Avenue to see how they compared. I ordered my usual order, the half chicken with onion salad and you got fries. The location was pretty busy, but they gave me my order with the extra sauces that I asked for and I appreciated the service.I brought the order home and immediately dug in. The chicken was hot, fresh, and just as good as the same dish at the H Street location. The onion salad was also excellent, providing a bright and slightly acidic contrast to the hearty chicken. Definitely get the green sauce with your meal. It is one of the most tasty sauces I've had and pairs well with more than just the chicken and yuca. The only item that was not as good was the yucca fries. They were definitely not as fresh as at the H Street location, but they were still tasty, especially after I reheated them in the air fryer. Definitely a good and healthy option when you're in the area or looking to do take out!

Giovanni is the best manager I've seen at an establishment. He is patient, kind and professional. Nicole is so very polite and professional. My order is ALWAYS correct. And the food is better and better each time I go !

The quality has gone down since they opened. Sometimes the employees are rude. My quarter chicken had a lot of fat on it, undercooked plantains and the peas in my white rice was hard. The green sauce was good though. Wouldn't recommend.

Salad was spoiled, asked cashier to replace he place fresh salad on same container on top of spoiled salad. So disgusted

Friendly customer service that always gets my slightly modified order correct. No complaints here! Delicious every single time.

I just order food out of here , the French fries he gave me tasted old and mushy I told the guy who was preparing the food my fries were old and asked if he could fix me some new fries he told me I had to wait 50 minutes then he proceeded to tell me to throw the fries away that were on my tray and I told him I don't want nothing for free better yet just give me a refund and take this old food !! These people have a business in a majority black community and treat black people like shit on the bottomOf their shoes we as black people need to stop supporting thieve type of businesses they are so disrespectful and rude towards black people !!

Quick shoutout to District Rico's Brentwood location! They catered lunch for our school's 100 staff members today, and were so easy to work with! All the sides were vegetarian, and almost everything is also gluten free. The manager Geovanny was so helpful and communicative and delivered the food a few minutes early. Can't recommend them enough! I'll def work with them again. Plus the teachers were all really thrilled about the food :)

Falta de un buen manager , hicimos nuestro pedido y luego de ser entregado no habían mesas para poder sentarnos a comer , todas las mesas estaban ocupadas pero no de personas comiendo si no viendo el partido de futbo.. Después de media hora esperando que alguien nos ubicara una mesa tuvimos que pedir la comida para llevar toda fría !
