This hidden gem is tucked away, and if you're not paying close attention, you might miss it. However, once inside, the ambiance is nothing short of elegant, with stylish decor and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The service was exceptional, thanks to our waiter, Gabriel, who provided top-tier hospitality from start to finish. The food was just as impressive as the service. I ordered the steak frites, cooked to a perfect medium, with a beautiful sear and incredible seasoning. It came with a side of crispy fries and flavorful Brussels sprouts. My wife opted for the sea bass, which was served with baby carrots in a delicious yogurt sauce. To complement our meals, we explored the cocktail menu, starting with the Apple Bake, a refreshing choice, while my wife went for the Slytherin, inspired by Harry Potter. We later tried the rum punch and a unique old-fashioned infused with wild mushrooms--every drink was expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. The overall experience was fantastic, though the bill came out to about $300, including drinks and gratuity, so be prepared to splurge for a memorable night out.

I was very much disappointed by the food and the service here. This is a spot for drinks and ambiance as a spot before your actual dinner, but there are too many amazing restaurants in DC to settle for mediocre dishes. The best bite was the potato bread and the Negroni's were excellent. The cavatelli and baratta was okay. But the prawns were almost "return to the kitchen" bad. Our waiter had to be flagged down at every step along the way. Overall really disappointing for what this could be and how much hype there is around it.

After five years, I finally returned to dirty habit. My friend had a hotel room here and invited me to both dinner and breakfast the next morning since he had a hotel credit. We realized the dinner they had a restaurant week so we obliged with that, we got the potato bread, the beef tartare, and the little gem salad. The Caesar was pretty good and actually comes with a good amount of salad, the beef tartar was amazing and the accompanying bread was really unique and. I got a cocktail, which was pretty good, but nothing too crazy or remarkable. For our mains I ordered the roasted salmon, and he got the soya short rib. The roasted salmon was pretty good, even though I had strangely some sensitivity to the salmon skin not sure why. The short rib was pretty good, but the actual amount of food was pretty small and disappointing. The desserts were pretty good, pretty standard. I chose the sorbet, and my friend chose the churros which I think were the better choice. Overall, the food options were good but not standout, and I guess it was a good we came for restaurant week because I don't think it would be worth it at the regular price points.

Dirty Habit was a good dining experience. The decor is beautiful, urban dark-moody themed. The restaurant is very compartmentalized with themed sections. There are also plenty of space to host private events. There are multiple bars, all of which are vibrant and inviting. The food is delicious and the menu is multi-cultural fusion. The customer service was good. I enjoyed sitting in close proximity to the kitchen as I was able to see the cooks at work. A good option for delicious food, date night, or private events. Give them a try.

I enjoyed brunch at Dirty Habit DC. I love the ambiance and how classy this restaurant is. You know what I wasn't expecting? The music to be good! It was definitely giving "add a dance floor" lol. All of the good R&B and Hip Hop throwbacks were in rotation, as well as some Reggae. The food was really good. I ordered the Chix Waffler, so basic, I know lol. One of my friends ordered the same thing but her chicken was not cooked all the way. Our server took care of it immediately, and they gave her a new meal. The service was good. Our server was very sweet and attentive. It did start off very slow but then picked up. We all had bottomless drinks and when I tell you THEY HIT ! My friend was drunk lol. Do not sleep on the punch okay .. it will sneak up on you. I would recommend this restaurant!! I am planning to come back and try a different dish.

My husband and I went to Dirty Habit for Valentine's Day this year. I will say that the aesthetics and decor are very nice! I can see why people love it so much. The food, however, was decent/just okay. I am not sure if it was just a busy night or if the chef's were missing the TLC on each plate. The best plate was the Seared Scallops and fregola. It had a really unique flavor! My least favorite meal was the Salmon; the poached chayote and cauliflower made an unsightly and unpleasant liquid at the bottom of plate. Our waiters moved so quickly to keep up with the the crowd that they missed a couple things, but they were nice. I wouldn't go again for that price range, but it was a decent experience.

OVERALL: cute aesthetics but overpriced. Great for themed drinks and vibes. Good service. This review is only for the bar. They have fun themed drinks for every season and great decorations for outdoor space. Would recommend going. The cheese board looks small but very filling. Works well for 2 people.

Disappointing Experience - Wouldn't RecommendWe were visiting from the Bay Area, CA, and decided to try this place instead of Morton's or STK, since we have those back home. After seeing so many great reviews, we had high hopes, but unfortunately, we left entirely disappointed. The pan-seared scallops were delicious, and in hindsight, we wish we had just stuck to appetizers. For our mains, I ordered the truffle Amish chicken, which was not good at all. The bed of spinach it was served on was the only part I enjoyed, along with the sweet potato. The Suya short rib was decent, but the sorghum-glazed beets were a total miss--my sister literally said, "These taste like dirt; did they not wash them?" The charred baby carrots over goat cheese also didn't work for us, as the goat cheese threw everything off.We also tried the House Slytherian drink, which was just okay. Overall, this was not a good experience, and we wouldn't recommend it, especially when there are so many other great restaurants where we could have spent our money. We'll be back in a few months to visit DC, but we won't be returning here.
