Walked in to get some fresh, locally slaughtered lamb for a dinner party. First of all I thought it was like a professional butcher shop with a nice clean glass display maybe some meat hanging up in a walk in freezer. Instead I walked into a convienence store that just so happen to have a makeshift butcher shop. The store was messy. I mean MESSSYYYY! And not just in the "grocery side" where I wouldve tolerated it was behind the "butcher counter" Trash, random boxes and dirty mops and cleaning supplies just within inches of the butcher's work area. That wasnt the worst part of my visit. While waiting to be served I observed the Butcher and a customer negotiating the price of what looked like a goat carcass. The customer was wishy washy and I dont think he was sold on the idea of purchasing half a goat, it looked tough and there was barely any meat on the scrawny carcass. The customer wasnt buying, but he (as in the CUSTOMER) had his grubby paws all over the raw meat! The butcher didnt try to shew him away or intervene in this clear violation of health standards. As soon as I saw that, plus the dirty butch workstation, the smell and the deep freezers they had instead of walk in I LEFT. No way. Disgusting!

The owners mentality towards the customers is as shitty as the store itself. The store reeks of the meat stench. The products in the store are sometimes expired and they are just thrown around in the aisles. Hardly enough space to walk around in the store.Have been going there since 4 years, and one day, after waiting in the line for 30 minutes (this was after I called and ordered 2 hours before hand), he's like, "Take it if you want or don't!". Never going to set foot in this store again.

Since we do not have an option for rating "no star" i am forced to tap on one star. This is a nightmare if you are expecting an hygienic meat or halal. Ambience and customer service sucks. The butcher doesn't understand anything that ur trying to communicate n doesn't lend his freaking ears to what customer is trying to ask. You would throw up by the stench inside. The owner seems to be from Bangladesh and Islam, if ur an Islam you would get first preference here. And he gives a shit to others. But keen on money. Food will be scattered around the floor always. Surprised to see such a place in Maryland. Stay away from this place!!

This used to be my preferred place for buying fresh meat. I was a long time customer to avail chicken and goat meat of good quality. And most of the time I used to end up with a big purchase of at least 15-20 pounds altogether... since I am a kind of guy who hates going to grocery very frequently. One fine day while coming back from nearby Costco, I stopped by to purchase 20 pounds of chicken. After they handed over I suddenly realized something was wrong.. really wrong...went on to weigh again on their machine. OMG ! My concern was just right, it was merely a 13 pounds instead of 20. Would you believe this ! But this is happening in USA. this is even unthinkable in India and any other countries where most of us (their majority of customers) came from. They even started yelling at me with their nonsense justification. They finally said the pack they sell as 10 lb is actually 7 lbs. They are just cheat and this should be notified to county offices that monitor. So beware of these people with no business ethics. Wish I could take the lonely star off.

It was nice to hear "apa" (sister) after a long time! The meat was fresh, and prepared according to my instructions (they offered suggestions on how to cut it). The only drawback would be that the dry goods could be fresher. Overall nice selection of rice, desi pickles, mustard oil, dal, etc. I think I also saw prayer rugs and ladies hijabs

Its ripoff and not a clean store. Went to get goat meat and the guy measured 6lbs before cutting but after cutting it measured 5.1lbs, I don't think there will be 1 lb wastage. Also on the wall it says $8.50/lb but they charged $9.50. $6 is not a big loss, but he definitely lost our business. Never again.
