There are way too many amazing Ethiopian restaurants in this area to ever come to this one. Hiwot down the street is delicious, but I wanted to try this one because I like the space and wanted to plan a wedding shower dinner here next month, so I wanted to try the food. I ordered Misir Wot, just red lentils. They came, the injera was nice, bitter, and delicious. I then went to taste the lentils.. Ice cold. Like from the fridge. No servers around, but I know such places have service issues, it's fine. I finally flagged one down and told her. This woman looked at me dead in my face and told me that "this is how it is served. But if you want it hot I guess I will heat it for you, but we serve it cold".I said, "come on. You're going to act like this is my issue? I'm from East Africa, I've been eating Ethiopian food my whole life. We don't serve ice cold stews."Well, I am from Ethiopia and this is my food and I am telling you it comes cold!""Okay", I said. "I won't argue with you. Just let me pay for my drink and go."She started shouting loudly. "YOU HAVE TO PAY! YOU HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE YOU ORDERED! YOU WANT HOT FOOD! YOU HAVE TO PAY!"I said "Whatever, just pack it to go."She literally rolled her eyes and took my food, which I'll obviously not eat because she probably spit in it, to heat and pack up.She came back and I had my money on the table. She took it, left, brought back my change and threw it on the table.I did nothing to this person but ask for warm lentils instead of ice cold fridge lentils. Lol.Never again.

I came because of the excellent critic and customer reviews I read and wanted to try a delicious meat and vegetable plate: great service in a loud setting with a vociferous lounge bar and Ethiopian and English music videos to the side. I ordered a mild beef with rice which was delicious. My fresh salad included too many jalapeño slices for my taste, so I sorted most of them out. Two of my kids like their wings and fries, but the spaghetti was too spicy hot for my two other kids: my 12-year-old son said it was delicious and finished his with lots of water, but my 5-year-old only had five bites. My husband and other daughter ordered the chicken sandwiches. My daughter didn't like hers at all, perhaps because it was over-charred; my husband said his was okay.

So frustrating, we ordered through Uber eats And they only gave us one of our dishes when we paid for two for entrées and one appetizer, doesn't seem like there's any way to contact Uber eats and this restaurant doesn't pick up their phone, seems that their phone is disconnected. I'm sure if we put a note written complaints to Uber eats will get a refund but what a waste of time, total disappointment. So unprofessional.

A must try place with many delicious options on their menu. I had a great meal, the owner/manager as well as the server were very friendly. I will be coming back to try all the potions.

Wonderful sweet service from a family owned restaurant who clearly loves what they do. We came in on thanksgiving- the manager Emebet was accommodating to my dietary needs (gluten free) and showed me the 2 available types of Injera. The traditional "Teff injera" was delicious! The restaurant was having a free thanksgiving meal later in the evening for the community- when we couldn't stay, we were given some to go!! Would recommend to anyone!

Tiny rip off portion size "for two" for $28.00 Ordered through Uber eats. They have it set up to force you to buy extra injera and then fill the box with bread. A big let down compared to other habesha market and restaurants.

I ordered the Lega Tibs (Lamb) vis grubhub and it was delicious! I ordered this two days in a row and each time it was awesome. I'm surprised by the negative reviews here. Definitely this is the best lamb I have had from the five Ethiopian restaurants I order from or go to regularly.

If you want really good, authentic flavored, Ethiopian food, DO NOT go here. This is americanized Ethiopian food. Very bland flavors. The meat tibs where doused on tomato sauce, with cooked green peppers. Just horrible. There are plenty of good Ethiopian places to eat, just not this one. Blaa!

Tasty little Ethiopian restaurant in the neighborhood. Super friendly staff, and it seems like there are locals who come to the bar. Nice combination platters to have a taste of all different vegetables and meat. Variety of Ethiopian beers available.
