I work in the area and have been sampling local place. I went to La Chosita yesterday and have now been twice. This place is great - I had spicy chicken soup which was fantastic, better than I've had at other local places. The tacos are fine, and authentic and I got a spicy pasta soup with it for free. The service is very friendly and prices are very good. The chairs and tables are really cool, handcrafted wood carved chairs and plank tables - something you'd see in a trendier place.They offer authentic 'agua frescas' which are meant to be refreshing light drinks, made just of juices like cantelope, watermelon, mango, etc. Of note, I just read the two year old reviews below about cleanliness and have to say that is not true now. When I visited yesterday I noticed how many times the servers and the kitchen staff, which work predominantly in view of the dining area, washed their hands and also wore gloves and clean white aprons (not always the case I see in other similar local places). The whole place was very clean. I noticed all this well before I read these reviews below. Perhaps they got the message and seem to be working hard to be above board.Also, almost all the cooks, staff and others running the place seem to be women, which is cool. But they don't have air conditioning, which during the 100+ degree summer heat, isn't cool. But the food is worth it.

Still consistent and delicious. Maybe the best wood tables to sit at I've ever seen. Beef Sopas was outstanding as is the pastor. Cheap cheap cheap and worth seeking out.

This is a pretty decent Mexican restaurant. The food is really good but not excellent. The menu boasts an awful lot. Probably too much, actually. They even have burgers(why I'm not sure) so if you're feeling American in a Mexican restaurant, yea, they've got that. Turns me off a bit but it is what it is. The decor is very very unique. Carved handmade tables which appears to be handcrafted right from tree trunks. Rather awesome really. The staff is very nice, of course no one speaks English, but whatever. Over all this isn't a bad spot a all, and the only reason why I'm giving it four stars is because I'm sorry here, you don't go to Mexican restaurant for a burger.

Love it the food and table chair sets. My boss brought me there and it was such a surprise to see a real authentic Mexican place. I felt like I was in a small city of Mexico. Decorations are cute and original. I had the best taco there too. Interesting choices of fillings. Price is cheap and really good for value. Staff are simple and sincere, maybe they are not so experienced but they do try to look after you. I think you will love it if you love exotic foods.

Small menu.....but they are new. I am sure in time there will be more to offer. However the customer service was great. Their fresh juice was made to order...but not in a mechanical juicer...no sir! in a hand operated juicer. I had the melon juice and my boyfriend had the carrot juice with a touch of orange. It was great! our meal was made in a timely fashion. We did not dine in, instead we took it to go. The chicken was fine, but I tasted my boyfriends carne asada and that was soooo much better. The location is really cute and their chairs are really colorful hand crafted and beautiful. I did not try any of their baked goods, maybe next time. My overall experience was a positive one.

How do I give ZERO STARS! I used to LOVE this place .. it was my favorite spot to get tacos from .. but the cashiers in the front are so damn RUDE and act like they don't care about the customer at all. We called our order in literally and hour and a half ahead of time, apperently she said they'd only prepare "half" the food we ordered unless we prepaid the food over the phone with our card. So we told her we'd call when were on our way, which we did. We called TWICE, we called when we were 20 mins away, then yet once again when we were 2 minutes away. Once arriving and paying for our order, she didn't even tell me I'd still be waiting she just left me at the counter waiting like an idiot. After I finally asked once I got her attention the cashier was like "about 5 more minutes" im like "didn't we call our order in over an hour ago" she responded with "yeah but that's why we told her to pay over the phone or we wouldn't make it until you came in to pay" so I was like "then what was the point of ordering ahead of time" that little rude cashier with no customer service skills or manners at all just walked away while I was still talking. It's pointless to ask for a manager cuz there's somehow never anyone in charge. Hispanic restaurants get on my nerves with this, they always treat they clientele however they want and never even apologize for anything. Smh.

Y'all taxing like shit Danm, I went to eat with my girl and friends and danm the server charged me 4.50$ for one lime, the costumer service is ass. And they charged me 3.50$ for a small bag of takis, I had a really bad experience for that to be my first time. What restaurants charge 4.50$ for one lime? I don't recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food but the white girl that is Mexican cute and meanie .. the food is nice and authentic puro rancho cuh
