Del Ray Boccato

I would consider myself a churro officiant due to the fact of it being one of my favorite desserts. I have had churros from numerous places and states and I have tried to get one firm this business twice before but it was closed or they weren't ready. He boast that he has the best churros and I was waiting to try them to call his bluff. I had one fresh and when I say this I mean it, it was the best churro I ever had. The texture the amount of cinnamon and sugar and the way the churro was able to hold the mixture well and the overall taste was amazing! I definitely think everyone should go and one of these. I promise you they won't disappoint!

This is the best gelato in Alexandria by far, so bummed it's supposedly closing. Cute little store in Del Ray with some patina and charm too.

Avoid this place like the plague. The milk they use for their lattes is horrible and their milk-products will make you sick. Service was absolutely horrible, whoever was working really didn't care, didn't want to be there, and was shutting the shop way early before posted closing time. Gelato was OK, honestly Breyers is better. We won't be back, don't recommend this place to anyone for Gelato and especially coffee products.

This was the best churro I've ever eaten! The gelato was also delicious. And I love that the owner kindly and happily answered my kids' many questions about how he made churros, what the difference is between ice cream and gelato, etc. We will definitely be back!

The best empanadas I've eaten in VA so good and fresh , I also tried Pistachio gelato and was so good

When we entered, I was glared at by the owner who was hanging holiday decorations while on a ladder in the small entryway. I was politely waiting & even said excuse me, but he still seemed irritated, despite my being a customer.We ordered empanadas & pizza. The empanadas were not much better than hot pockets & the pizza was obviously two slices of frozen pizza with some spices sprinkled on top.The decor is also hard to look at because there's "too much" to look at, from old lamps & movie star posters, to dried flowers, to skateboard & Ford signs & old fashioned European reprints. We didn't know what to look at first.We feel bad not leaving a good review, but also feel the need to be honest, as the whole time we were there the owner was truly seemingly grumpy at having to run the place. Kudos to the cashier girl for being polite & friendly despite his grumpiness.

Empanadas & gelato. Both were a good selection and very tasty. Friendly to us when ordering.

Walked in and there was an old man (I'm guessing the owner) sewing. I waited patiently for about 5 mins and finally he walked up and asked what I wanted. I asked for a hot dog and he grabbed everything out with his barehands, no gloves or tongs, totally unsanitary. The whole shop looks dirty. Order was canceled and I left.

Had lunch today, delicious homemade empanadas, so much flavor! The homemade churros are amazing and great coffee. Super friendly owner. I love to support small local businesses so this is now one of my go-to places in Del Ray.
