De-Ranch, more like De-Roach! Never again. My house is clean clean and I keep it that way. So where did it come from, the only change today was my visit to this place. First time visiting this place and I was NOT impressed. Old decor and uninviting. I ordered the egusi soup with chicken, which was mostly the backbone of the chicken and the actual tail of the chicken. And too much egusi, not enough mixture of greens and the color was off. I ask for spinach, they had none, I asked for goat, they had none. This was 3pm, so why not. My friend ordered the jollof rice with chicken. It was colorless and not what I am used to from other African restaurants. Needless to say, I will NOT be back.

The Cassava Leaf Soup was . The Chef poured a generous amount on top of my chicken and Jollof Rice. They definitely give you a good portion for your money.De Ranch has 3 different areas. One is the dining room. The dining room gives you an antic afri-cuisine feel when you enter. The lounge gives you reggae vibes. The main area is where you order your food. The main area is also a bar with a heavy selection of alcoholic beverages.If you want African, Caribbean or American food. De Ranch can service you!

As a lot of reviewers have said already, the food is hit or miss (mostly miss). The customer service is horrible. They acted like I wasn't there for 10 minutes before they took my order. I ordered the cassava with chicken and beef and it came with cow foot only (mostly fat). I called to see if they would rectify the error and she argued me down that that's what I ordered. The suya was dry, hard and seemed like it was refreshed in the microwave. Honestly, places like this should not be supported. Go to Kingsway near Laurel instead.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!The place looks run down and smelled like mold. Our food was edible but did not taste good. The meat was tough and we couldn't even chew it. We picked at it and ultimately ended up throwing it away. We were told the food would take 8 mins to come out and it took 30. Two other patrons complained of the same thing. We were served and never checked on again. The whole experience was bad.

Second Time coming here . Food is awful. Nothing I'd ordered twice tasted good . My husband is african and he even disapproved Of the food I'd received. Plus the cashier nails were dirty. That was my sign to leave , but I didn't. I'd Wanted to give them one more chance. Please rehire the chief you had back in the early 2000 . That food was great .

Horrible food! Poor customer service!! The food was hard and old. They refused to give me my money back. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!! Chared $15 for 3 small pieces of chicken and a big plate of hollow rice. The rice wasn't bad but the chicken was hard and tasted old. The worst food in the area! Worst west African food I've ever had in my life!! Stay AWAY!!!!! It's not worth it!!!
