Saw this food truck at Franklin Square this past Wednesday and decided to try it for lunch. The combo was $11 total and came with fries, a can of soda, and the lamb gyro itself. Took about 8 minutes for it to get ready which is pretty great. They didn't skimp on the lamb which was full of flavor and very tender. The tomato, lettuce, and onions inside the gyro also tasted fresh and kept everything pretty balanced. If I'm in the mood for lamb gyro and I see this food truck, then I would probably get it again.

So....I love Greek food and I like to try the vegetarian options to judge because gyros don't count, amirite?!? I ordered the falafel from this truck and I was so underwhelmed. Clearly store-bought bagged pita, the falafel was gummy--undercooked on the inside--and underseasoned, the lettuce was defeated iceberg, and the red onions were cut so thick you could choke! Also, I asked for cucumber and there was none. I did not ask for feta and it magically appeared. So...I guess. I was hungry and it went down fine, but for close to $9 for the pita with nothing else, eh...prolly not again. There are far better options even on the food truck lines. This is definitely for those who, like me, hate to wait and go to the truck with no line. SPOILER ALERT: There's no line for a reason guys. (Shrug)

Super friendly and pretty quick. They have a decent menu of Greek fast food. I went with the chicken gyro and fries. It's a huge serving of fries, but they could use some serious seasoning. The chicken was decent but a little on the overdone side. Good seasoning, and the tzatziki sauce was fantastic. A few too many onions for me personally. I would stop by again next time they are in the area.

The lady working at the truck was very nice and friendly, which is why I gave it two stars and not one.I got a chicken platter - the chicken was flavorless, and the sides (spinach and chickpeas) weren't much better. The rice also tasted very salty. On top of the blandness, my stomach was rather upset after eating it. Proceed with caution.

A fine lamb gyro. Not a very long wait. Very tasty. Popular with locals. If you are ever in Farragut Park at lunch time check them out.

A few friends and I tried out the DC Greek Food truck to see what it was all about. Overall, I wasn't all that impressed, the portions are big enough but the flavor wasn't there. They have all the standard Greek food options, like souvlaki and gyros, ranging in price from $8-$10. There was no way to sign or leave any tip.The food was just OK. The souvlaki was substantial, but they don't give you a knife and the vegetables are huge, so it's hard to eat. The portion was large, but the food was boring. There are plenty of food trucks in the area, and I don't think I'll be back to this one.

**Singing**... Had me like OMG-osh!!!!Seriously-- i have not wrote a review in a while... But this was well worth writing one. First-- unlike many other food trucks, DC Greek gave me a good size portion of food! Thank you! I have a massive workout planned for this evening... A sistah needs her fuel! The food was delicious! The meat was so tender... I ordered the combo which came with chicken, beef, and lamb (insert drool emoji here).NOT TO MENTION- the staff was great, greeted me with a smile and was soooo kind. So pleased and will be going back!

I will not be ordering from this food truck again. First, it is not well-prepared for handling a large volume of orders. It was quite crowded when I went and it took roughly 20 minutes to get my food after ordering. Definitely not a great start to my dish. Although, waiting time aside, I was severely underwhelmed by my dish, gyro over rice. The most unappetizing part was the presentation, particularly the side salad (if you can call it that) was absolutely drenched in feta cheese. I'm not a big fan of feta cheese, especially in large amounts. The smell was pungent and overbearing, almost to the point where I could barely approach my meal. After removing all of the feta, the salad still looked unappealing so I didn't eat any of it. I moved on to the actual gyro and rice portion of the dish, which was covered in a yogurt sauce. I tasted the sauce on its own with some rice and it was not very good at all. I mixed it in thoroughly with the rice and gyro meat in an attempt to mitigate its taste. The rice itself was okay and didn't add much flavor to the meal. I did elect to give this place a second star because the gyro meat itself was quite good. Sadly, it was not complemented well by other components in the dish.

I was pleasantly surprised by the portion quantity of this food truck, since most food truck portions tend to be on the stingy side. The salad with gyro topping was bottomless. The dressing was delicious and zingy, the gyro was plentiful and accented with a garlicky dressing. There were extra grape leaf rolls, and not least, there were sufficient real mediterranean olives to garnish the last bite of salad. Exceptional! My friend got the veggie platter which came with generous serving of rice, cooked spinach, and grape leaves. He said he enjoyed it!Service was fast (although we did go early) and didn't have to stand in line longer than about 5 minutes from order till we got our food.Good bet!

The food was very good, flavorful and filling. The time waiting for the food was long, HOWEVER there was a free lunch give away and everyone wanted to give them a try. It was also WORTH the wait. I had the Lamb Platter, plenty of lamb to go a long way and very fresh. I will definitely try it again and maybe a different platter. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.
