The Service/Space:When I got here it was moderately busy with about 3 people waiting for their orders. There are some tables and chairs in the space, but mainly as a waiting room. I don't imagine a lot of people actually sitting and dining in here. The cashier was really nice and it is a typical order over the counter without bullet proof glass. My order took about 10 - 15 minutes. The Food:Compared to other Chinese take-out restaurants in the Petworth area, I feel like Dannie's gives you the least amount of food for the highest price point. However, I ordered the sesame chicken combination and fried wontons. The sesame chicken was good but didn't stand out compared to other places in the area. The fried wontons were pretty standard as well, but they did give a lot of sauce which was nice. Overall, Dannie's wouldn't be my top choice in the area, but it is pretty standard if I'm in the area.

I've lived in the are for 6 years now and Dannie's is my go-to when I've got a craving for Chinese takeout. Sometimes the only thing that'll hit the spot is a cheesesteak with some cheese wontons and a pint of ice cold lemonade tea.Now excuse me while I slip into a food coma.

It is what it is... chinese American take out. If I wanted super authentic, I'd go elsewhere. But if you're craving chinese american, it hits the spot. I ordered dumplings and Szechuan chicken. The chicken wasn't the typical level of spice that you'd expect from Szechuan, but it was tasty and I was pleased that they had a nice mix of vegetables and not the cheapest stuff available. I can't comment on the wings which I know sell a lot there... but if I want wings, I'll go to an asian wing place. I'd go back.

Went here with a friend to I get some wings and mumbo sauce. The location is your standard Chinese carryout joint. No complaints on the service or the wait time.The wings and the mumbo are good. Not great, not bad, just very solid. The wings must've been fried to order judging by how hot they were (when will I learn to not try and shove chicken wings into my mouth the second I get them?). The mumo is right down central; not too sweet or ketchupy. I get my wings and mumbo with fries, and I will say the fries were perfectly executed (as well as previously-frozen crinkle fries can be). A lot of places have limp, soggy fries, while Dannie's were crispy with a soft, fluffy middle. All in all, a good place to stop by for some mumbo if you're in the area.

I found my wings and mumbo sauce to be pretty uneventful. Not the really sweet mumbo sauce and not the one that taste like catsup. It was mumbo sauce. I think I will be back to try the lunch special. Orange chicken because I see they use peels which I like. Much respect on not having bullet proof glass.

Why was my burger in a damn steak and cheese bun. My rice was dry and my shirmp and broccoli only came with 4 shrimp I know I ordered a small but damn I just payed 12 dollars.

We ordered a LARGE to go food order on Christmas Day. They had it ready on time but when we got home THEY realized a few items were missing. They contacted us before we had even unpacked all the food. They immediately offered to deliver to us. Great Food. Great Service. Love local places that go the extra mile - even during busy dinner times.

This place is not clean. I placed an order for shrimp fried rice and it came in a filthy and disgusting container with visible dirt on the inside rim. Save yourself from food poisoning and just don't eat here.
