Apparently Google says this place is permanently closed, but it is indeed not! And we were sure glad they weren't. They were open and had a line with good reason. Ordered the #2 and 2A-1, and while the A-1 looked like the winner, the 2 had the best flavor. The crepe was a good size, and I was actually surprised I was able to finish. Definitely worth going around the back corner of the market and finding!

I'm a crepeI'm a weirdoWhat the hell am I doing at the marketI don't belong hereI was so shocked. Crepes in the USA are generally so bad. Badder than bad. Ewsworthy. But that was not the case at all here. This was an absolutely phenomenal Nutella Banana Crepe, very well done, only about 5 dollars which was a total steal considering how big and delicious it was, and the cheapest one they had. It tasted hot, dreamy, gooey and yum, granted it was a bit sweet for my taste but he's a master crepe artist, that's for sure. And if you disagree, I don't give a crepe.

Best crepes in D.C. We have come here three years in a row on our trips to DC, always a great experience. Love the savory and sweet crepes. The staff are friendly. Service is fast. Right outside the eastern market and makes such a fun weekend morning outing.

Tasty crepes indeed. I'm pretty basic when it comes to crepes so i typically stick with the sweet variations. I ordered the strawberry, banana, and nutella crepe and enjoyed every last bite of it. The day that I'm brave enough to branch out and try a savory crepe, I'll trust this place to do it right. The person in front of me ordered something with cheese, fresh spinach, and some other stuff that looked delicious (I almost considered ordering that). Even better is that I found their prices to be very reasonable. $6 crepes and $1 drinks? Sign me up any day. The perfect tasty and cheap snack at the market.

Anyone that knows me knows I love a good crepe. I was browsing the East Market for the first time and I started seeing people with crepes and was trying to figure out where they got them from. I finally tracked down the source of the crepes and quickly ordered one. Got strawberry, banana and Nutella. The crepe was made so quickly and fruits were fresh. You pay by putting the money in the designated domination cups and if you need change, taking it yourself. So there is definitely an honor system. I guess this make the transactions faster and he doesn't have to touch the money while he is cooking. And the crepe was yummy!

Tried these crepes at Eastern Market yesterday and they didn't disappoint! I got ham & gruyere (only $7) although I think I would try a sweet crepe next time. Wait time was a bit long but worth it!

$5 for a Strawberry, Banana, and Nutella Crepe. Place 5 bucks in the glass cup sitting next to the crepe master and you're good to go. The crepe was light, thin, and flavorful. Slightly crisp around the edges and soft in the middle. Lots of thinly sliced strawberries and bananas throughout the crepe. Nutella is always tasty. If you're looking for a sweet or savory treat while walking around The Eastern Market, definitely give one of these puppies a try.

This crepe guy is AWESOME. And you will know immediately that he's just that popular, and really THAT GOOD. We made a trip to the Eastern (farmer's) Market just to try his crepes. We waited in the extremely long line for ONE HOUR. Yes, really. Of course, while in line, we were able to take turns and check out the other food stands as well (highly recommend the mini donuts, lemonade, the gumbo, & the market lunch. Didn't get to try the bbq, but it looked & smelled pretty darn good.) But by far, the longest line of the market belonged to the Crepe guy.I was very indecisive in terms of savory vs. sweet crepes, or both since we've waited so long in line. And heck, when is the next time we'd make it back to DC? When it was finally my turn, I decided on the sweet crepe with bananas, pecans, cinnamon and butter. Boy was it DELICIOUS! The crepe was light and flaky, and the filling was just sweet enough but not overly sweet, just how i like it. I just wish i had the stomach left to try other flavors and such. The guy is very efficient. He has himself a sous chef preparing his ingredients for the next order. And with cash only, you self-pay in a jar he set aside. You can add any type of sauce imaginable on your crepe. He even has sriracha sauce! Winning! =)

One of the best crepes that I've tried.Jaimin S. and I waited in a long line to get a taste of a few of these infamous DC crepes. When our turn finally came we ordered one sweet and one savory one.Strawberry + Banana + Nutella - I thought this was OK but I probably wouldn't order it againAsiago Cheese + Onions + Peppers + Spinach - out of this world!!! The cheese was perfectly salty, and the other ingredients were perfectly cooked. We added a little hot sauce (from his awesome sauce collection) and were truly in heaven. I would DEFINITELY get this again...maybe even 2 just for myself. His payment method is pretty funny. There are a few wine glasses that are filled with money. You order and then put how much you owe into the wine glasses and take any change you're owed.

Crepes at the Market in Eastern Market has the best crepes you'll find in DC! The bf and I were spending a nice Saturday afternoon at Eastern Market and stumbled upon this place on the outskirts of the food truck area near N. Carolina Ave. I'd heard a lot about it and upon a quick search on Yelp, I saw that it had gotten rave reviews. I ordered the strawberry-banana-cinnamon combo with my crepe. They had unfortunately run out of blueberries by 2pm, but the strawberry was equally delicious, I'm sure. My bf ordered the nutella crepe and loved it. Such an amazing afternoon treat!Do keep in mind that it's cash only. Luckily I had some cash on me that day!
