As a Mexican living in the DMV area, finding authentic Mexican food is always challenging. This family-owned restaurant in Rockville/Derwood is good!We ordered the flautas, enchiladas, and tacos. The flautas were crispy and packed with flavor. If I am not mistaken, the tortillas for the tacos are hand-made. We also ordered two quesadillas for the kids--one would have been enough because the portions are generous! The kids loved them, and we all appreciated how fresh everything tasted.The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. Costa Grande is a must-visit if you're craving authentic Mexican food in the area. We'll definitely be back!Picture of their Instagram and enchiladas

BEST TACOS, MENUDO, HORCHATA, FAJITAS IN THE DMV! The hand made tortillas makes me want to come back everyday!! Seriously you can taste the LOVE in the food! You will not regret coming here!!

I like to support immigrant businesses, how ever some take advantage of that. I paid $18-something for a Burrito w/ guac. And the size of the burrito was small. The burrito was not terrible, but dear God the price is astronomical. I didn't go back because of the price, so I haven't tried other items on the menu, so by all means go and support the business but be ready to take out a small student loan.

I read an article on this place about thier grand opening and I must admit this place did not meet my expectations in the end.I looked at thier menu ahead of time and saw they had menudo on Saturday and Sunday so my family and I headed over for dinner. Their menu was limited and the first thing they said "since they just opened some menu items they did not have." I asked about Menudo and they said "tommorow." Disappointed, but I moved on to try something else. I was going to get the enchiladas for my kids and then they said they didn't have that from the menu either. That's two items missing from thier limited menu.My kids ended up having the quesadilla fritas and they seemed to enjoy it. My kids liked the rice so we got a 2nd side serving. My wife had the capechana and she was not enjoying it. My mother-in-law tried several tacos with different meats and she enjoyed it. Myself, I had the cardne asada plate that I asked for medium rare but it was more on the rare side. I ate it cause I was hungry. The side rice was good. The refried beans tasted like it had been out for a while not fresh. They had thier own orange hot sauce which was pretty good and on the slightly spicy side. I like spicy.Overall, mixed reviews. If it's a grand opening then you should have everything on you already limited menu and not use that as an excuse for not having it. The service was good and mostly attentive. I wish they had the menudo as that was the sole reason I wanted to try this place. I'm Mexican who grew up in LA so I love menudo and grew up eating Mexican daily. Some stuff was okay and other things could use some work.Maybe I'll give this place another try in the future when they are more situated.

Cute friendly interior colors and everyone working there is really nice but the food is just mid. Burritos feel like they mostly have rice in them, gorditas were greasy, my friend found bits of bone in the carnitas.

Hands down the best flour tortillas. The menudo is incredible. I can appreciate that all items may not be available everyday, as each item is made from scratch!! Everything on the menus is freshly made. Authentic Mexican food made by local family. Customer service is awesome, as the entire crew is hospitable always making everyone feel welcome. Please support this local business. The location is new, but these folks have been making authentic, delicious Mexican food for years!!!!!

Absolutely obsessed with this place. Every dish has great flavor, and it's one of the few Mexican places that make their tortillas from scratch each and every time! I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to grab authentic Mexican food.

Food was great, I really recommend the carne asada tacos. The sauces for the tacos also have lots of flavor, especially the salsa roja. Customer service was great as well. Overall I give it a 5/5. Always have to show love to local businesses.
