Amazing food and incredible service! Got the bluefin tuna, which was cooked perfectly; also ordered the salmon which absolutely melted in our mouths. The sides we ordered, Brussel sprouts, Mushrooms, and Potatoes (papas bravas-esq) were all incredible as well, our favorite being the brussel sprouts. The charcoal roasted oysters were also to die for. Service was prompt and attentive, Chris was extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu, beverages included. Will definitely be coming back!

I went to Cordelia fishbar on a Saturday for Restaurant week. Let me just start off by saying 10/10. The ambiance, the staff, our server Edwin, the food, and the cocktails. Everything was flavorful, balanced well, and FRESH. Edwin our server had a lot of personality & all his recommendations we tried were amazing. I'm so glad we decided to trust him. The oysters have been on my date and my mind since we left. The chilled Maine lobster was perfect for an app. The Pork Pluma was so juicy & melts in your mouth. Make sure you try the Sangria, it was a HIT!I can't wait to return for more oysters and fresh seafood. We needed this restaurant in Union Market.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Upon arrival for brunch we were greeted with fresh juices. This was a nice surprise. However things took a slight turn after this. While our waitress was nice, she was MIA, and the restaurant seemed understaffed during the brunch time. We ordered sparkling water and she brought the bottle but no glasses. After 10 minutes of no one passing our table we noted glasses behind us and served ourselves. It also took a while to finally get an espresso order in, but they ended up comping it which was completely unexpected but appreciated. For brunch we ordered the whole black bass with brown butter and black garlic sauces and Dutch baby. The bass was slightly undercooked and actually relatively small. The black butter garlic sauce was a good compliment and flavorful. The Dutch baby was not great. It was dense and not light and airy as a baked Dutch pancake usually is. It was also gummy in the center.I'm not sure that I would try this place again, although I have heard great things about the raw bar. But given the poor service I am not sure that it's worth a second try.

Had dinner here to catch up with friends on a cold Wednesday evening, and it couldn't have been better. The food was fantastic--flavorful, well-prepared, and perfect for sharing. We ordered several appetizers and small plates, all served in generous, shareable portions. Must-try dishes include the branzino, oysters, crispy potatoes, and lobster--every bite was delicious. We ended the night on a sweet note with ice cream, apple pie, a latte, and espresso martinis. The drinks were a little strong but tasty and well-balanced. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Can't wait to come back for happy hour!

***New restaurant alert***If there are giant prawns in the DMV and I know about them, I'm coming! I saw this new restaurant in Union Market open up and they served giant prawns, so it was a no-brainer.. We coming! I got there a little early and kicked it at the oversized bar. I noticed the Apple Cider Sangria was made with Bourbon and not Rum and I gave it a try.. Freaking delicious!I would describe Cordelia Fishbar as an upscale casual restaurant. It's also the newest edition under the "Clyde's" brand, which has been a DC mainstay since Old Ebbit Grill and fits in perfectly. The coal-roasted Oysters and Giant Prawns were amazing. The whole "Black Bass" was perfectly seasoned.. A little boney and was served warm not hot. The brussel sprouts were disappointing. It was definitely a single serving size and less than luke warm and for $12, they should give a little more. Service was great but it does, in my opinion, have an inherent problem. It's right across the street from my favorite Union Market restaurant, St. Anselm, which is extremely similar to Cordelia, just a little sexier!

Tried Cordelia for restaurant week last night, the food was SO good and our service was exceptional. I took one star off for the calamari which I was hoping to love but was disappointed. The calamari was too tough and some of the pieces were burnt. I'd try an again because the flavor was good, I assumed it was due to the large batches being made for restaurant week. The prawns with the salsa verde were really good, perfect in size and texture. The mushrooms were some of the best I've ever had, they were absolutely amazing. The potatoes we'd also really good and super crispy. For dessert I tried the activated charcoal with coconut sorbet it was so delicious and refreshing. And the sweet potato cake was just,.. phenomenal like some of the best desert ive had in a while. Overall I had a great experience, our waiter was so nice and accommodating. All of his recommendations were extremely spot on.

I had the opportunity to try Cordelia during restaurant week to celebrate my friend's birthday. The restaurant is located on a corner near Union Market and is easy to find. Interior was beautifully designed with a warm ambiance, perfect for a date night! Service was superb! We were quickly greeted by the hostess who asked us what our seating preferences are. Our waitress was nice and offered suggestions from the menu. We had multiple staff members assist with drinks and refills throughout dinner. Everyone was friendly and very attentive! Unfortunately the food was a hit or miss depending on the dish. Dessert was a total fail in our opinion. DRINKSFALLING INTO PLACE: We both ordered the Falling into Places cocktail. It was refreshing and the salty sugary rum was perfect! PELLEGRINO SPARKLING WATER: I'm a sparkling water kind of girl and while the Pellegrino is ok, wish it had a different brand. SMALL PLATES COAL-ROASTED OYSTERS: We both LOVED the oysters! They were warm, plump, creamy and juicy, topped with a delicious blend of sauce and cheese. You can 100% taste the coal flavor. It came with a piece of coal still glowing from the heat so be careful not to touch it. I wish this was part of the happy hour menu (hint hint)!NEW ZEALAND COCKLES: Cockles were on the smaller side but good. Watercress broth was magical! Dip the bread in it because the sauce was seriously so good! I enjoyed to watercress garnish but the flavor of the gigante beans didn't fit well in the dish IMO. Would love to see some more Serrano chiles in the dish. LARGE PLATESGIANT TIGER PRAWNS: Holy moly, these are so HUGE and meaty! There was only 3 but size definitely made up for it. On the brinier side but was grilled to perfection. The recommended sauce (salsa verte) was great and went very well with the dish. ORA KING SALMON: We were interested in the salmon only because it was dry aged for 7 days. Skin was crispy and honestly the best part of the dish. The fish was slightly watery with a softer texture but not in a good way. The bordelaise sauce wasn't as bold and on the lighter side, a little underwhelming but went well with the dish. SIDESMAITAKE MUSHROOMS: Strong and flavorful with an earthy flavor. Good dish to try out for mushroom lovers. CRISPY KENNEBEC POTATOES: Their version of potatas bravas was beautifully presented. The potatoes were crispy, were cut bigger (not thicker) than other places and was very dry. It needed more sauce. We both enjoyed the peppers in this dish. DESSERTAPPLE PIE: Not the typical apple pie dessert. The "filling" consisted of lightly seasoned slices of apples (still crunchy). I say "filling" because the pie crust was placed on top and arranged like it enveloped the dish but was not. Crust was not soft, crispy like a thick piece of tortilla chip. The olive oil ice cream was melted on arrival. I actually didn't even know it was ice cream and thought it was just a dollop of whipped cream as it wasn't cold and didn't taste like ice cream. SWEET POTATO BRULEE TART: My least favorite dish of the night. The brittle was too hard to enjoy, not to mention the unpleasant feeling of it sticking to my teeth. Not sure if this was their take on the "brulee" part. It looked like we got ice cream on top but it was actually mascarpone cream. The cream went well with the sweet potato. I expected a crust because that's what I associate with a tart but it didn't one have. The small diced sweet potato looked like carrots at first but they're actually sweet potatoes. Overall, Cordelia is a nice spot to try out. Restaurant week is a great way to try out their dishes for a fantastic price. Although a handful of the dishes didn't hit the spot for us, the staff and ambiance made up for it!

The food is wonderful. The service was so friendly. The space is gorgeous. We loved the char grilled oysters and had the turbot - which was incredible. The one caveat is that it's pricey - save this for a special occasion :)

The ambiance? A whole vibe--laid back, aesthetically pleasing, the kind of place where you feel fancy but not too fancy to still use your fingers for the prawns. We went during Restaurant Week and sat in the bar area, where the service was... let's just say, on island time. You order at the bar, find a seat at a communal table, and then hope your meal shows up before your phone battery dies. But hey, I'm giving grace because Restaurant Week is like that. However, Al is the guy to see!!! He's good and attentive!! Food Highlights: Day Boat Rhode Island Calamari - Perfectly grilled with a nice char and smoky flavor. If textures make you feel a type of way, maybe sit this one out. Otherwise, 10/10. New Zealand Cockle - That watercress broth? A moment. The gigabyte beans? A solid supporting cast. Dip the bread in it, thank me later. Whole Black Sea Bass - Don't ask questions, just GET IT. Grilled to perfection, juicy, flavorful--chef's kiss. Great Tiger Prawns - Huge, succulent, cooked just right. If shrimp hit the gym and leveled up, this would be them. The Sauces - Black garlic, brown butter, and chermoula... like a well-dressed trio at brunch, all bringing something special to the table. Fire Roasted Potatoes - Hearty, flavorful, and makes you feel like you made a responsible side choice. Maitake Mushrooms - Not bad, just not that girl. Couldn't tell you why, but something about them didn't hit the same.Overall, I'd come back--but hopefully, the food gets to me before my future kids do. I initially gave this place a 5 but with how slow this is I can't give them a 5

We went on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30 and sat at the bar. The staff is lovely and super professional. We got several drinks between the three of us. The sazerac is literally one of the best I've gotten in DC. I'm okay with it being $21 because it was that good. My friend got their version of an espresso martini and liked it.FYI, if you go on a weekend, they have a limited menu between brunch and dinner. It's a beautiful space. They have a $29 unlimited tiki brunch drink deal which is nice. Looking forward to coming back for half off seafood tower happy hour!
