Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge

I'm always on the hunt for standout dishes, and Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge delivered with their butternut squash ravioli! The balance of sweet and savory in the dish was spot-on, with the ravioli cooked to perfection and the sauce adding just the right touch of richness. It's a must-try for anyone dining here.The ambiance of the lodge is stunning--cozy, rustic, and perfect for a relaxed evening out. The service was attentive, although the wait time for our entrees was slightly longer than expected, which is why I'm giving four stars instead of five.Overall, Clyde's is a great spot for delicious food in a charming setting. I'll definitely be back for more of that ravioli!

I would love to love this place but...The decor is fun and the waiters are nice but the food is mediocre at best for prices that make you expect much higher quality. The Mac and cheese was dry, the broccolini charred, the "cupcake of the day" was perhaps from last week as it was dry and didn't look or taste home made. The only thing I enjoyed was the decaf coffee after the meal.I don't think we will be back until they make some serious changes to their offerings or lower the prices to line up with the quality.

I've been to Clyde's several times in the past ten years. I've always appreciated their wide range of menu options. Most recently, I had their Apple fritters and falafel bowl. Their fritters were good, but I recommend asking for an extra side of the maple icing. The fritters are topped with a small drizzle, but ours has little to none. It was an easy fix and I really enjoyed them. Each order comes with 5 fritters. The falafel bowl funnily came on a plate? I asked for the vinaigrette on the side, but it must have gotten forgotten (no biggy, but the meal was more wet than I usually like). Overall, the food was good. The service, however, was a little slow. My friend and I waited quite some time to get our check, but the waitress was kind/friendly throughout.

We went here for happy hour which is in the bar only 3-6 pm. There's some drinks and discounted platters.We had half a dozen oysters, Calamari, Mussels, and fries.The Oysters were good, salty and sweet.The Calamari isn't all squid, it has some pickles and bell pepper covered with batter, it was kinda disappointing.Just because i was expecting it to be pure squid only.The mussels was great. Ambiance was very cabin core.The service was ok. I guess because the bartenders were stretched thin, it feels rushed or they are hardly paying attention since they are so busy.

The food was just ok. Octopus was missing the Spanish flavors. The trout was good, the crust was perfectly crispy. Their pasta is made in house. The pasta was not cooked enough but tasted ok. We went on Valentine's Day, this would not have been the place I would have picked. The restaurant was huge and it perfectly accommodated the busy night. It was very loud.

This restaurant is actually hard to review... Some of the things in it were very nice, and others a bit disappointing. The decor in this restaurant was really cool - old hunting lodge fib. Service was hit and miss. Same with the food. Came here with a group, and some things were good and some were not very good.Service was OK, but our server was stretched pretty thin.

5 stars for ambiance, 4 stars for food / price value, and 3 stars for service. Overall average of 4 stars. We went with a one year old on a Holiday and the place was pretty spacious and empty, likely because the space is HUGE. If you are ever looking for a decent night out last minute with no reservations, Clyde's feels like it could be a safe bet.We ordered birria tacos and their burger. The tacos were surprisingly great, the burger was okay (felt a bit under-seasoned). Service was fast, fine - nothing outstanding. For the vibe and price of food, I was expecting a slightly better service, but maybe that was my expectation. Again, nothing wrong with the service, nothing great about it either.It was a fine experience, and I would come back if I'm in the area & in the mood for a cabin-cozy, in the woods vibe, nice lunch or dinner. Not a place you would drive out far for.

Ambiance is off the charts with the cozy Adirondacks style restaurant. Service, also great. Very attentive and personable. Good was quite good. Two in my party ordered steaks and were very happy with their beef. I had to try the Reuben and was really happy with my sandwich. Order the sides like a steakhouse. They are large and meant to be shared by the table. We went for a birthday celebration and the server brought a cute cupcake with a candle. We will definitely go back again. We dined on a Sunday night, and the place was hopping. The large and separated bar area had sports games going. My husband would duck in to catch the game scores.

Clyde's Rockville location has to be the best due to its size and privacy of the restaurant. My family and I have been going for years but went last night for dinner with my boyfriend's family. We had calamari, grilled octopus and sliders for our appetizers, a variety of steak frites and I had the butternut squash ravioli. My boyfriend had the ribeye which was probably the best out of everyone's dishes. I also had the tiramisu, crème brûlée (I recommend) and someone had the toasted marshmello milkshake. Service was great, we really enjoyed our time.
