Cleveland Park Bar and Grille is the best sports bar in DC. "The H Burger" is amazing as are the buffalo chicken wings (I like mine mixed with honey mustard). While the food at CPs is consistently good the ambiance can be lively especially during football, hockey, and basketball seasons. The service is great and C.A. And Rene are the best and Javie the bartender is always there with a warm greet and solid drink. I highly recommend this place and will be back !

Maybe it's because I was here on a Tuesday that I didn't get the full experience but this place was kinda dead from the service to the ambience to the food itself.The pizza oven does look really cool but I opted to go for the Cubano sandwich. The portion size was good and I really liked the fries but the pork wasn't seasoned well and I couldn't get any of the basil dressing that had made me want it. There were vegetables also plated next to it which was a weird choice.The lighting inside was too dark and the service was extremely slow (and the server was just looking like he rather be anywhere else)... maybe I'll try it again for the pizza but I'm not rushing back.

We stopped in for a beer and something to eat after driving from Rhode Island to DC for a short vacation. We were happy that they were still serving food and had cold beer on tap. We both had the French dip. It was so good. The meat was cooked just right and the accompaniment of the warm juices and the horse radish sauce, so fresh and tasty! If we are in the neighborhood again we will be sure to stop in! Service was fast as we sat at the bar.

I had a lovely time at Cleveland Park Bar and Grill last month! For my birthday I got 10 friends together and we went to the zoo, and I wanted to find somewhere to grab apps & drinks nearby afterwards. Cleveland Park B&G is walking distance from the zoo's main entrance, and was one of the only spots nearby that would actually take a reservation for a large group (without a reservation fee). Quick highlights:- Location (near the zoo, near metro stops, on a busy street with other spots to visit)-Super friendly staff who made the experience very pleasant -A good amount of space (a rooftop half inside half outside, and a main floor) and the ability to host a bigger group-Easy way to host an event, with an event form on their website-Tvs, nice bar, good food, speciality cocktails, not too spendyI submitted an event reservation through their website, and after emailing back and forth with Tommy a few times, he called me directly to work through the logistics, which was super helpful. In addition to Tommy being helpful he was also so friendly and helped make the whole experience so smooth. I can't remember our bartender/server's name but he was sooo nice, he was patient with the large group and well-humored. I appreciated how chatty he was! But what really was one of the biggest highlights was that he was totally cool with splitting the check 3 ways, which makes such a big difference when having a group event! I am not frequently in Cleveland Park but stopped in here with a group of colleagues after a community service event. When we walked into the bottom floor, there were quite a few TVs showing different games, and the room was very dark. It was a beautiful day today, so we went upstairs to enjoy the patio area. The server came over right away to see if we needed anything, and we ordered a margarita and some beers. We shared a handful of appetizers, namely the mozzarella sticks, the chicken nachos, charcuterie, and chicken tenders. None of the dishes were particularly anything to write home about, but everything was totally fine. It is about what you would expect for a sports bar, and actually may be a little bit better. I rather liked the chicken nachos because the chicken was quite well seasoned. The margarita was pretty middle of the road. They have a great upstairs space because there is a roll-down cover that keeps heat in during the winter and that they open during the summer to let the fresh air blow in. There were not a lot of people when we came in today, but I could definitely see this venue being a popular place later on in the evening. I would not be opposed to coming here again but think that there are better choices available.

Rooftop patio. Server was great. Everything else sub par. Small (guessing 8oz) draft beer that I thought was cute until I got the bill for $9.00 each. Nachos arguably the worst I have ever had. Cheese wiz, highly processed avocado paste, a few pieces of tomato, sour cream. Highlight was the sliced jalapeños. Period. Buffalo wings great flavor but overcooked and dried out. I live in the neighborhood; first time here. Bummed. I really wanted to like it.
