Circa at The Boro

Visited here on a Thursday around 4pm (during happy hour) and basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves. We sat in the bar area at high tops, space is airy, open and the waitress was kind and attentive. We ordered the wagyu hummus and the circa burger. Both were good but the wagyu hummus was the highlight as it was so unique and goooddd. From a foodie who likes a little spicy but can't take crazy spicy, the hummus was alittle spicy as it's topped with jalapeños, but it was amazing with the garlic naan. 10/10 would come back especially for the hummus.

First time to Circa at The Boro. Came Saturday morning for brunch. Circa has a very cool vibe and the food it outstanding. The staff is very friendly and our order was taken quickly, and our food came out quickly. I had the Salmon Benedict, which was on point! The potatoes were seasoned perfectly! Coffee is served in a very large cup...our waiter called it a coffee bowl! I tried some of my wife's Shotgun Shrimp, and it was fantastic. We'll be back!!

Food - 5. Service - 5. Ambiance - 3Been here several times. The food is always very solid, no complaints! The parking is not the easiest. And the ambiance is interesting... it's nice, but it reminds me of a moderately priced hotel's restaurant. Half of the restaurant is a bar, and half is a restaurant, which isn't the problem, it's just a little oddly sterile feeling. Good for a friend group, maybe not for a date. We got many dishes to share, they are pictured here. Everything was solid. Calamari, a couple desserts, pretzel loaf, brussels & blue, a couple other dishes not pictures. Can't complain about any of the food.

Ok. How is it that i never heard of this place. It's great. Parking is a garage right across. Staff is super polite and helpful. Pretty busy bar area. We got lucky with couple of seats. Ambiance is that of a after work get a drink and a bite to eat type of place. Food was great. I got a salad with shrimp. Great. No complains. My partner got burger. Great. We shared wings with Buffalo sauce. We ll def return Because it was lovely.

I got the kale salad as a starter and the dressing was delicious and the salad was good. Only down side was we noticed black stuff on the kale leaves...we told a waitress and she took it to the back and we didnt hear back from her until the end of our meal. We did some google searches and we're almost certain it was caterpillar poop...we got the salad refunded and got a dessert for free. For entree, i got the short ribs and the spinach was delicious with tons of garlic. We got a big chunk of meat but i wish it was cooked longer so it was more tender because it wasn't very soft. The pumpkin cheesecake was on their seasonal menu and it was...interesting. First reaction was...meh but after a few bites, it started to taste okay. Oh also, I found paper in the cheesecake. Not sure if it was just an unlucky day for us or the kitchen just isn't very clean or organized? Our server was really sweet but it felt like he was overstaffed because he was running around and barely had time to fill up our waters

What a LOVELY addition to this area. This is my first time to Circa at The Boro, although I've heard of it before from my coworkers.It did take a minute to find my way from the metro to the restaurant, but it is still an easy walk from the Metro and has a parking garage around the corner. I arrived slightly earlier than my reservation, so the patio table wasn't ready. The ladies at the front were extremely friendly, as was our server, who was almost ready to serve me before I was even seated! I wandered over to the bar and asked if I can order a drink while I wait for the table and the bartender said no, I need to wait to be seated and order with the server. This is the first restaurant I've been to where I cannot order at the bar (even if I was willing to close the bill). While our server was extremely nice, the service was extremely painfully slow. They were much faster at clearing the tables and bringing the check than they were at taking the orders. I had to keep going inside to find the server and place our orders. I guess I got some steps in during the process.The decoration was simple, but exquisite. I loved the vibes at the restaurant, the bar, dining and patio areas. The indoor bar area was self-seating. My only complaint would be the awful, heavy, noisy patio chairs were hard to move!! There were heaters in the patio area, making it cozy. They have a small happy hour menu, which includes house wines, beer and a specific cocktail. The small plates and flatbreads were $2 off. We ordered the house cabernet sauvignon, a couple flatbreads and appetizers. All the food was amazing. Would I return? Absolutely!!

Went here to grab food before a comedy show and Anna was a great server. Loved the pretzel bread and my bf loved the shrimp as an app. We both got steak frites but he got a side salad and I got a side of broccoli you know cuz we tryna watch our weight so no fries! lol. Food was good, loved the chimmichurri. Bathrooms are clean and nice and the place overall is cute. Garages so ample parking and there's a ton around the area. Cocktails were also good.

Amazing food, drinks and service. Abby was an incredible server who was very patient, thoughtful and attentive throughout our visit and provided a truly lovely dining experience.

I had a fun time celebrating my birthday We sat outside and there was enough of a breeze to not feel hot. Our waitress was amazing and very polite and helpful with the menu. Food was delicious and I'll def be back to try more. Also the mimosas were on point.

This was my first time at a CIRCA, this particular location at The Boro. They have other locations as well, in Clarendon, Navy Yard, and Foggy Bottom.We came here after an event in the area and decided to grab some bites for HH - having a couple of dollars off their small plates and flatbreads were great, but I wished their selection of drinks were a bit more expansive.We tried:+Fried Calamari - with cherry peppers and artichokes; served with marinara sauce and a grilled lemon; the menu stated it had olives, but didn't see these; the spicy cherry peppers was a nice little mix; I did wish they had an aioli type of sauce than the marinara, and more tentacles!+Shotgun Shrimp - shrimp that were flash-fried, dressed in a sweet chili sauce, and topped with red bell peppers, broccolini, jicama slaw, pickled jalapenos, and micro cilantro; wasn't really a fan of these, as they had a 'fishy' taste to them and didn't seem to fresh+Chicken Wings - with a spicy apricot chili glaze and served with carrots, celery, and bleu dressing; these wings are large, meaty, and juicy, and I really enjoyed the sweet/savory glaze on these; very addicting, and of a generous portion!+Tuna Poke Nachos - nice and crispy wonton chips, topped with sushi-grade tuna in a sesame ginger marinade, roasted nori, and sesame seeds, drizzled with a wasabi avocado cream and a pickled ginger aioli; these were actually a pleasant surprise, as it was pretty good - the wonton chips were addicting, and the tuna itself was fresh and dressed well+Fries - don't sleep on these, as they had a nice little batter to them, making them nice and crispy; could have eaten a bucket of these!Service was friendly, but since we were sitting outside in their patio, it could have been more attentive with refills and additional orders.
