Finally a new pizza truck has come to our neighborhood - that's got to be a good sign for the new year, as we haven't had any new trucks for months. We ordered the pepperoni and smoky shroom - both excellent, so delicious we are seriously considering ordering a couple more to save for tomorrow. These are 10 inch pizzas with very thin crust, no extra puffy dough on the edges either so they could be considered a bit pricy since you might need more than one to feel full. Online pre-ordering is super easy, and there's a ton of additional ingredients you can choose from to further customize your pizza - fresh basil, Italian sausage, hot honey drizzle, and vegan cheese and meat options, the list goes on forever. All I can say is, I do hope they come back soon!I also like it that they line the pizza boxes with paper so the boxes stay clean without food stains and can be recycled.

The hub brought two home for me, by the time they got home, it was soggy so I air fried it. It would have tasted a lot better. We got the mushroom and cheese, it was tasty but had more burnt areas than others. I would love to try some on the spot one day.

Awesome pizzas. My son told me to give this place a five... but what does he know... according to him, no one can make bad pizzas.... and while he's raving that this is the best pizza he's ever had, he also say the same about Mama Celeste before. But he's not wrong. This is some pretty good pizza. The pizza dough is soft and chewy, almost like mochi. Their plain cheese pizza while simple, is anything but. I had the Smokey shroom pizza which is to die for. And I may already be dead by the time you're reading this. I didn't save any for my wife except for a small half a slice. (The serving size is already small, but that's to be expected from food truck pizzas.)My wife is soooooooooo mad right now. If looks could kill. I regret nothing.... it's sooooo good.

My gf loves pizza. Specifically, the frozen boxed variety. I do not. Way too much bread, and they always taste like freezer no matter how much you try to jazz them up. However, after seeing the pictures of these pies, I was determined to try them. After a few misses, we trekked the 30+ miles to Bethesda to visit the truck at Central Farmers Market. And it was absolutely worth it.It was super easy for us to order online. They have a few pre-made pizzas, but also an option to create your own. It can get a little pricey adding individual toppings, but there's lots of cheese and vegetable options to customize.I got the smoky shroom and it was divine! I wanted to add the honey chili drizzle, but I went with the zesty ranch instead and was super satisfied with the flavor. My gf got the margherita and added spinach and enjoyed it a lot. The crust was thin and crisp, but not too crunchy. Will definitely return!

This is the adventure of how Cipolla Rossa overcame absolute disaster to save my wedding. I had Cipolla Rossa Pizzeria bring their food truck to my wedding in Upper Malboro, Maryland. We hired them to make pizza for about 65 people. There was unrelenting downpour of rain almost non-stop in the days prior to the wedding. The silver sky had loomed above, giving a seeming ominous indifference to the wedding day...and the grounds were saturated with water. Josh had mentioned it may not be possible to serve in the designated area behind our barn because they might get stuck.....and, he was right, because that is exactly what happened. As a fellow small business owner who services weddings, this is an absolute nightmare. This is epic worst case scenario. Like - Thanos just acquired the last Infinity Stone and you are standing six feet away with nothing but a pool noodle - bad. The only thing that could have made it worse would be a black hole opening up in the yard. The truck was fully trapped and the wedding had already started....As the ceremony ended and the time for dinner drew more near, the hungry guests had no idea of this impending disaster. Against all odds, the Cipolla Rossa crew rallied together with my grandfather (a retired pilot) and our neighbor, who was a lifelong farmer. They got out some tractors and began pulling the truck from the clutches of the mud-covered grounds. Josh and the Cipolla crew heroically gave one last heave and freed the truck. Immediately pulling the truck around and up the driveway, they began the food prep, and fired up the ovens, like a perfectly oiled machine. Even after having to heave the truck out of the mud AND relocate they were able to start 10 minutes after the originally designated time of 4:50. Do you understand how hard this is? This would be like fist fighting Jackie Chan in a hot air balloon and winning....without spilling the tea you are holding in your hand. It's near impossible. And it was perfect because we needed the extra time for photos anyways! They didn't miss a beat. In fact, it almost bordered on time travel. Yes. I would go so far as to say that. Josh and the Cipolla Rosa crew are so good at making pizza that they almost are able to travel through time as they do it. And when the pizza came out....it was like the scene in Independence Day when Bill Pullman gives that speech "'We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive!' Today we celebrate our Independence Day!". It was as if there was a collective scream of victory among every person who took a bite. I jumped in the air. I think my grandma passed out because it was so good. People raved about it. And I personally can vouch for the Margerita, the Porks-a-lot and the Veggie were all amazing. There was subtlety in the flavor profile that is indicative of artistic skill in food making. It was truly delicious. My only regret was not having time to eat more!So should you try Cipolla Rossa? I don't know....do you like not being killed by Thanos? Do you want to beat Jackie Chan in a fist fight in a hot air balloon?Do you like your pizza makers to time travel?Do you want to survive Independence day when aliens attack planet earth and try to erase humankind?Do you want your event to go smoothly and your pizza to be raved about by the people who eat it?Then yes. Yes, you should get Cipolla Rosa.

One word. Dough. Goodness gracious... there is something to be said about wood fired pizza dough/crust. It was crispy, chewy, buttery, and flakey (if that's even possible). Simply put... delicious! I normally don't eat the crust if it isn't superb. But believe me, I ate every bit of the crust on this pizza. This establishment is family owned and operated by a loving family who are extremely friendly and service oriented. I can't wait to go back and eat every bit of that pizza crust. Oh, don't get me wrong... the toppings were top notch too!!!

Cipolla Rossa was so fun to work with for our wedding! Josh was very laid-back and good at dispelling whatever wedding-planning stress we came to him with :) which was often a lot. Yet he was also completely professional, timely, and organized! Not to mention, the pizza was incredible. These guys brought a great attitude to every interaction, which really meant a lot to us. I've been to weddings where the vibe of the vendors really disrupts the mood the couple is trying to create, but Josh and his team fit right in with our loving and fun group. He was also very communicative and flexible about payment and finalization of menus. He was willing to schedule the walk-through months ahead or weeks ahead, whatever we wanted. We got a lot of pushback from other caterers about wanting pizza at our wedding, but if that is your dream, don't let it go! Cipolla Rossa made that dream come true for us :)OH! And they also make killer desserts! We had apple crisp and chocolate chip cookies, made right in the pizza oven (which, by the way, is a beautiful mosaic tiled oven that looked great in our pictures).

Josh and the family behind Cipolla Rossa Pizza are amazing. We hired them for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding this October and it was a top tier experience. They are knowledgeable about how to serve the masses and their quality doesn't suffer for it. They served 50-60 people without issue and it was super fun to have them and their oven at our event. Please stop by and try their pizza at a local event or consider hiring them for an event of your own. You won't be disappointed!

Josh and the team at Cipolla Rossa are amazing! We catered them for our wedding in June and it was phenomenal. 150+ people at the wedding and not a single complaint from our guests, only positive praise for the amazing food! The stuffed mushroom, caprese bites, and meatball appetizers were great for cocktail hour and the pizzas were hot and fresh from the brick oven he brings on site! The crew he brought were all smiles and made our special night feel like they were part of the family too. A++ service and food, would highly recommend these folks for any event! Whether it be for a wedding or just grabbing a slice at the places they pop up around town, they will deliver! Thanks again Cipolla Rossa!
