This place is at the very end corner of the attached food court to the big Great Wall Asian grocery store. There are a lot of places inside this food court but you cannot miss this as its line was longer than the rest of the other places combined. We were just randomly browsing what to eat and the line convinced us that it'd be good. We went for spicy beef noodle soup and intestine noodle soup not expecting too much. However, this place is fantastic! There's usually a good explanation when you see a bunch of Asians lining up.I've complained about another Chinese establishment called 'Y Noodle' for being too oily while still tasting amazing. Chopin noodles are perfectly balanced - there aren't a lot of oils. It's also not light because you can taste all the right flavors in the right amount. You can drink it all up and still not feel all those oils. That's a perfect bowl of noodles in my opinion. I'd come back. The only thing I have to complain about is that the tray they gave our bowls on was nasty! It didn't look like they cleaned it at all. I'm hoping it was an oversight and not how they usually prepare their food. If I keep seeing this from this restaurant, I will update my review. After I left the place, I realized this is another branch of a hand-pulled noodle place in Rockville that I've been seeing in reels! I believe the original place is also called Chopin. I haven't made it that far because I love 495 so much. I randomly walked into their branch. Why, yes!

If a place is getting raving reviews from inside a supermarket food court, it has to be good!Had been craving chili oil-type noodles for a while and decided to finally make the short drive from Arlington after seeing a few social media posts about the Chopin franchise. We got the traditional beef noodle soup, the oil spill noodles also with beef (though meant to get the triple mix oil spill noodles but ordered the wrong thing), and the dumplings. The star of the show was the oil spill noodles; I really wish we'd got the triple delight as intended because I prefer ground pork to beef chunks in this type of dish, but it was still extremely enjoyable and every bite was jam packed with flavor. I give it a strong 8.5/10.The beef noodle soup was interesting; it obviously had similar/equal flavor profiles to the oil spill, but it was basically like all the flavor fell off the noodles/beef and mixed into the broth, so the bites of noodle/beef were kind of bland in comparison to the flavorful spoonfuls of soup. Because of that, I give it a 7.5/10.The fried dumplings were standard but did not disappoint, a strong 8/10 and pretty good for the relatively cheap price. Overall, had a good experience and would recommend trying Chopin, but personally I'd probably go back to the Gaithersburg location in my home county over this one, as the grocery store food court wasn't the most sanitary place to eat between unwiped tables and gross trash can.

This Chopin Noodle House location is in the Great Wall food court! The interior/ambiance here doesn't compare to the location in Gaithersburg, but you surely will find a bowl of hot and fresh noodle soup here. My family and I wanted to eat dinner before doing some grocery shopping, so Chopin was the perfect option for us this past Tuesday evening. If you're here for noodle soup, you can choose from a variety noodle styles (extra thin, regular, thick, flat, wide, extra wide, and knife cut) -- also they have a gluten free option available.TRADITIONAL BEEF NOODLE SOUP - 13.95+4.95 for pork intestinesAs usual, I got the traditional beef noodle soup here. Compared to the other location, I thought it wasn't as good. The preparation seemed a bit lackluster (in terms of how it seemed like they just dumped a bunch of toppings on top without that much care) and the broth was a lot oilier. The noodle texture was perfectly chewy (I got wide noodles) and soaked up the broth well. The additional side of pork intestines were a nice plus, but not necessary. If you don't really care for clean tables and nice ambiance, I'd recommend stopping by Chopin Noodle House at Great Wall. The one thing I didn't like about this location is the plastic soup spoons they give here don't scoop up broth very well.

This place pops out when I was searching for restaurants as the most visited Chinese food choices. It is located at the Food Court right by Great Wall Supermarket. Lanzhou is famous for their handmade noodle. I chose the cold pasta dish (Liangpi) since I have never tasted it before. I was not disappointed. The protein choice was from the braised lamb (Mutton Chops). I could finish all the food since the portion was huge. Delicious! I will definitely come back to sample more selections next time I am in town.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem in the food court located in the Great Wall in Fairfax Corner. There aren't too many places that offers hand pulled noodles so we had to check it out. They literally have every type of noodle shape and cut so there is an option for everyone's preference. We of course had to try everything so we got the thick, thin, and knife cut. We got it with their spicy beef noodle soup and their traditional Lanzhou beef noodle soup. The noodles were cooked well and had the perfect bite. The broth was full of flavor so you really can't go wrong with any option. It's more of a matter of spicy and non spicy. The Lanzhou Liangpi was their best rated appetizer but was really a miss for us. The flavor was a little dull and the texture was just kind of cold noodles. I'd stick to the soup for the best experience. As I mentioned earlier, this location is not a traditional storefront so the tables and space is shared with the other food stalls. Something to keep in mind in case you decide to come with a large group. Pretty good value and taste overall. I'll definitely be back again!

This is a hidden gem in the food court of GW supermarket in the Fairfax area. It was my first time trying out this place and i was pleasantly surprised. The food court area was big, clean and had plenty of tables and chairs. You order at the kiosk and the lady at the counter was friendly and helped us order. The food came out promptly and prices are reasonable too!I ordered the B2 Oil Spill Noodles (extra wide handpulled noodles without soup) and the A1 Lanzhou beef noodle soup. Both were delicious! I loved the texture of the hand pulled noodles. It was just the right amount of chewiness. The broth and flavors were balanced and not too spicy either. Minus one star- they only offer plastic utensils and it was difficult to sip the soup with a tiny plastic spoon. Also, they do not offer any drinks-- not even water!

Usually I don't expect a grocery stores food court to be on my list of places I want to try but I've had the Maryland location bookmarked for a long time and when I heard they expanded near me I had to give it a shot! This is a hidden gem and super yummy! You can see them hand pulling the noodles in the back and that handmade flavor and softness that I love. This is better than most noodle texture around here but only thing I'd say it's missing is the bounciness chewiness that sometimes also comes out in hand pulled noodles. This is definitely softer.Traditional beef noodle soup - 4/5 super flavorful and not heavy at all beef broth with some light spiciness that also adds more flavor to the broth as a whole! As someone who likes spicy I will ask for extra spicy next time. The beef is super soft and overall a really great bowl. I tried the regular and the flat noodles. Both were great but I slightly prefer the flat.Beef shank salad - 4/5 I love the mala flavor these pieces are coated in! All the pieces are not dry at all and super tender. The sauce is the star with great sweet, spicy, umami and just the tiniest numbing

So glad this opened up in Fairfax! Now we don't have to trek to Maryland for it. As someone who loves spice and hand pulled noodles, I loved the sichuan pepper beef noodle soup. I got mine with extra wide noodles. Portions were great, soup was flavorful, beef was tasty and cut flat/thin. They don't have any beverages for sale, but since this is located in the food court at Great Wall, you can just walk a few steps to their beverage section if you need. The food came out within 5-10 minutes; there was only one other party in front of us when we were ordering. You can also see the person hand pulling the noodles (and hear it too, when they smack it against the counter). It's casual food court type dining, nothing fancy. They took our dirty bowls away for us when they saw that we were done. I will definitely make this a regular in my rotation of casual eateries in the area. Also great that you can do your grocery shopping here too.

I really wish this place remains one star so I will not have to worry about sold out or waits, but jeeeez it is sooo good! I just know as soon as people start posting reviews, the ratings are going to be redeemed in a second!I've been waiting Chopin Noodle to open in NOVA since the closest one is in Gaithersburg. It's been on my bucket list for the last two months, and finally God has answered my prayer! I tried their original noodle soup on Sunday lunch around 12:20. The soup was sooooo good! AND the portion of noodle & meats were so generous! I know my expectation is hard to meet generally, but it was up to my expectation! As you know it is hard to find hand pulled noodles around NOVA so I've been always going to NYC to taste good Chinese hand pulled noodles, but boy!! I am soo happy that we finally have one here in NOVA! This place is inside Great Wall Supermarket, so you can have a quick bite as well. I think serving was quick considering how many people were waiting!Definitely coming back to try out different noodles :)
