Choong Man Chicken

Just got finished crushing there Soy Garlic wings and I had to let you guys know how good they were!10 out of 10!I needed a quick bite before catching my bus at Union station and this was the perfect spot. Easy online ordering, literally only took like 15 mins. When I went to pick It up, It was ready and I checked my bad and they only gave me like 3 napkins. And I told the host "now you know I need more napkins for these wings". So she then proceeded to give me the "better quality" napkins and I was on my way. The wings and good, saucey, crunchy and slightly spicy, I will definitely be back for more.Inside the restaurant it's chill with limited seating and a few bar stools at the bar, Just enough space for a quick bite & go.Wings were $15 for 10 (they are filling unless your really hungry)

I was in the mood for fried fish & fries so I thought of H&Chicken but due to the not finding parking, I figured maybe I'll try something new/different. I always pass Choong Man Chicken & figured why not go here. I found parking easy and made sure I paid thru the parking app for a few minutes.The place looked cleaned and different, there was a hibachi area and bar. I noticed the digital menu on the wall which had a lot of items to choose from. I was in between fish & chips or shrimp & chips. I ended up choosing the fish & chips. Customer service was decent and wait time was pretty fast which is a plus. My food was super hot and made as ordered. WHITING FISH & CHIPS Based on the reviews, I really was super excited but after trying I was surprised. The food was decent, just expected to be with a Korean touch. The whiting didn't taste super fresh and the fries were ok just not amazing. Something was missing but I couldn't figure it out. I guess it didn't exceed my expectations for $16, maybe I should've went with the fries shrimp but I wish the fries were different. Overall, I would give this place another try since they offer hibachi meals. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing idk.

I saw this place on yelp and it had really good reviews. I'm a chicken eater so I knew I had to stop by. Finding this place was difficult. I knew I had the right address but I couldn't find "Choong Man Chicken" anywhere, just a huge Kangnam sign. I ended up walking to the door and there it is. The small Choong Man Chicken below the store hours. It was pretty empty so I placed an order for some wings which also came with hush puppies.The chicken is basic. Didn't give Korean at all. All I could think was Popeyes chicken in wingette format. Nothing special. Simple chicken. Some cooked better than others. Totally not was I was expecting. Don't get your hopes up.

I went here after hanging out with friends and I was a happy with the outcome. I ordered wings, catfish nuggets, fries, and hush puppies. Don't worry I didn't eat all of this, I had two friends join me. The wings were delicious. The fries were very hot and good. The hush puppies surprisingly were really good. The fish is why they are receiving 4 stars. The fish tasted fishy and old. It wasn't good at all. It didn't have a taste either. It was bland and just not good. The bartender did take it off my bill without me asking. She was really sweet.Our drinks were strong and tasty. I would definitely go back. It doesn't look that cute from outside and the inside is not the cutest either but the staff is extremely sweet and I enjoyed myself.

$4 draft beers, this is unheard of in a major metro rn!!Plus the wings have an amazing crackle skin and were perfect. So good.The bartender Mama is so fun, good fast service. It's kind of a sports bar vibe, which might not be your style but you cannot beat these prices.

The chicken is fire! Seriously! I love crunchy fried chicken that is still juicy and tender on the inside. Guess what?! They have that play a bunch of Asian fused flavors to have you wing tossed in!!! I always get the spicy, regular fried, and soy garlic. We ordered the Shrimp fried Hibachi rice too and boy, it was fire too! Now I want to try more on their menu. I love the potstickers and spring rolls as great additions to your meal, especially when you are serving a lot of people. I ordered wings from here for a party and the price was unbeatable compared to other Korean/Chinese style fried chicken. The inside is cool too since they have a full bar and happy hour! I see a lot of regulars when I go pick up my food so it must be a great spot. A lot of homeless around the are but they have never bothered me.

Y'all!No waaaay.No fucking waaay should you pay for this ish.You are NOT gonna get Korean Fried chicken.The tikkaduk isn't even worth the extra money--like it's a straight rip off scam.Seriously.It's just expensive normal wings that aren't really crispy at all...but damn expensive.Now I'm happy to throw down some cash for good food....but this ain't it.

Best WINGS in the DMV!I am a chicken wing snob and am truly shocked to be saying this but I may have stumbled upon the best chicken wings in the DMV! This weekend I went to the H Street Festival and came here to get something to eat. I ordered the garlic spicy chicken. I was disappointed that the only dipping sauce was ranch sauce and hot sauce. When I got home and started eating those wings, disappointment dissipated! The wings were tender and juicy on the inside while crispy, sweet and hot on the outside! Everything came together as it should! I will definitely come from Maryland, pay for parking, and get these wings again. By the way, beer at $4 and $6 is also amazing!

A true paradox of pros and cons. First, many of the photos posted here don't resemble the place at all. There is no game room or plethora of beer taps, for instance. Not sure if this is the case of a chain using photos from different locations or just changes caused by the pandemic.However, what has not changed, is the tikkudak on the menu. That's chicken wings that have been fried, then baked for extra crisp. We tried the garlic soy, and they were delicious. Very flavorful, very crispy, and full of meat. Some of the best wings in town. One order is $17 for 8 wings. That's pretty pricey when a place like Nanny Obriens is offering 8 wings for $12 that are just as good, but nevertheless, we left happy.There were cons that disappointed, though, including no toilet paper or soap in the women's restroom and the person in charge (she seemed to be an owner or manager) openly criticizing the staff in front of customers numerous times. Not a good look.

Located conveniently on H street for your post drinking munchies or whenever you want fried chicken. Plenty of outdoor seating with tables spaced pretty well too.You can never go wrong with the original Choong Man chicken! It is to die for. Perfectly crispy and not too salty or overwhelming with flavors. The service is fast and all of the staff is really friendly. I'm not personally a huge fan of the ones with sauce, but they aren't bad. I've been here four of five times now and will keep going back
