While the food was flavorful, the order forgot the pork fried rice. If you run a primarily takeaway restaurant, it's important to GET THE ORDER RIGHT!

China Cafe on Richmond Highway in Alexandria, VA is an example of "Because my restaurant is in a lower middle class neighborhood, I don't need to go the extra step." China Cafe is the closest Chinese Food restaurant to my residence. After working a long work week, I didn't feel like cooking on my day off. So, I decided to try some Chinese Food. I ordered Chicken Fried Rice from China Cafe. This is one of the biggest regrets in my life.When I opened the container, I was immediately disgusted. It looked like the cook just threw my food in the box. Not even trying to make it look appealing.Normally when I order Fried Rice from other Chinese Food restaurants, I get delicious rice with mixed vegetables, sautéed onions and eggs. Not at China Cafe. You get bland yellow rice and few pieces of onion and peas. I could've made this myself.I gave my review 2 Stars because on the plus side, it was prepared quickly. But I'd rather wait another 10 minutes for it to be tasty. I will never eat here again.

I love China cafe, they are my go to Chinese delivery. First off they have the right kind of American Chinese food, they have actual egg rolls unlike the other places I've tried who claim to have egg rolls only to have the spring rolls. Speaking of China cafe also made the smart move and got those cheese steak egg rolls and they're great, if you've never tried them give em a whirl you should be happy. Everything I've ever gotten from there has always been great, egg drop soup, appetizers and all the entrees. I've only visited the actual store once and it's your typical take out Chinese place with a few token seats but their main business is take out and delivery. Now to do delivery with China cafe you'll have to download and use the "BeyondMenu" app or call, but if you order online you'll be using that app and the app is super easy. If you're in the vicinity of this place and you're not sure which Chinese place to order from, hit up China cafe and get the good stuff

If you're looking for the local Chinese food place to go to, this is it. Their food selection is what you would expect to find at any Chinese restaurant, but boy do they make it good. They offer generous portions as well! From what I can tell, this is a family run place so I have a lot of respect for that. Definitely my go to spot now.

Great place, cheap prices, fast service. Tasty food. Just your typical Chinese Carryout. I don't see why all the complaints. Only thing is that, maybe the inside could use some freshening up, then again I don't eat inside most take out spots anyway.

pre-ordered from them via doordash, found out they don't deliver to ft belvior. called 24 hrs prior to delivery to cancel. china cafe said they didn't get paid, doordash said they didn't get paid. however, my bank account was charged. I WOULDN'T recommend them and i cancelled DOORDASH.

Was pleasantly surprised. I have only ordered from this place once and landed on them after a coin toss between this Chinese takeout place and the one right across the street. Both had similar reviews so I flipped a coin and went with this one. Now the area is definitely sketchy AF. But, when I got back on post and dove into my Sesame Chicken combo plate and Teriyaki Chicken on a stick, I knew the power of the coin toss was with me. It really was delicious. Food was hot, egg roll was crispy, everything about it was very good. Again, this is my one and only experience here but will definitely order from them next time I am at Belvoir and I really hope my next experience is the same.
