My friend and I stopped in here for a quick weekday lunch, and were pleasantly surprised to see that this place was quite empty. I think it excels overall as a delivery place, but the inside is clean and simple, with pretty service. We decided to split the jjangmyeon and the tteokbokki, which both were great and came in large portion sizes. Both of us preferred the jjangmyeon, which was all seasoned and flavorful. The cucumbers and pickled radish added a nice contrast to the bouncy noodles and sauce. The tteokbokki was on the sweeter side, and overall not too spicy, but very enjoyable overall. I think this would be pretty accessible palette wise to those who are not familiar with Korean food or are nervous about spice. My only gripe is that I do think the prices are on the higher end for what the food is, but we definitely consider coming back here again.

This place has unfortunately sacrificed quality over the last two years. I've always known them for their bulgogi tots but the last couple of times I've had them have been just aite. Their portion for tots is definitely smaller and also all the toppings are just less than before. Not a lot of bulgogi itself to justify $15. This last time I also ordered the orange-ish chicken ($21) figuring I'd take the leftovers home. Portion on that one is the same as before. The sauce on the side is considerate but my chicken was cold. Like from the refrigerator cold. I think I got lunchtime leftover chicken or even day-old chicken and maybe that's why they don't add sauce to it ahead of time. After only three or four bites, I decided not to take it home lest I get sick from it. I spoke to the gentleman at the counter asking how they prepare the chicken and if it's made to order. He said it's fried in the fryer and didn't really know if it was made to order. When I told him that it was cold, he said it may be because there were so many orders that it may have gotten cold before someone could run it out to me. I said it was like from the refrigerator cold and he apologized. They also weren't terribly busy at the time. I should've asked for a refund on the chicken then but just wanted to get going. This is a conscious note to me to avoid going there and patron some other old faithful spots. I'm willing to concede they had an off night but it happened twice and I cannot forgive cold chicken.

I recently dined at CHIKO for a quick bite and tried their famous "Orange-ish Chicken." The chicken was perfectly juicy and crispy, with a vibrant citrusy glaze. The sauce had a great balance of sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy flavors, making each bite incredibly satisfying. Unlike other orange chicken dishes I've tried, this one isn't smothered in sauce. If you prefer a heavier coating, it might not be your favorite--but I found the lighter touch perfect for letting the flavors and texture of the chicken shine. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food arrived at my table promptly, making it a great spot for a quick yet high-quality meal.CHIKO is also a great place for solo diners. I went on a busy Sunday afternoon, and while the restaurant was packed, I managed to grab a bar seat pretty quickly. Sitting at the bar was a treat in itself--I had a view of the staff preparing meals, which added an enjoyable behind-the-scenes element to the experience.Whether you're dining solo or with friends, CHIKO's creative take on Chinese-Korean fusion and efficient service make it a must-visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Yelp recommended Chiko's to me on their version of the explore page, and they had high reviews and the pictures of the food looked really tasty, so I bookmarked it to try later because come to find out, it's a 10 minute drive from my job. I decided to check it out sooner rather than later because the stir-fry cumin lamb noodles seemed to be a popular entree and I wanted to treat myself after a long day of work yesterday. I got there after 4, and I must say finding parking was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It was hard and I almost decided to forget about eating there, but luckily I found parking after my third loop around the block. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, and it's almost self serve. As soon as you walk in, you go to the cash register/counter and place your order with the server to either go or to eat in. They have a few tables for seating indoors. Lucky for me, it was just one other group in there when I arrived so I was able to seat myself where I wanted. It was also dumpling happy hour, so I placed an order for the shrimp dumplings and beef ones. Then, I ordered the stir fry cumin lamb noodles as my entree. I really enjoyed the shrimp dumplings. They were steamed, and so delectable and I liked the chili oil marinade it was cooked in. The beef dumplings were ok to me. Those were fried and they had some sort of mayo based dipping I didn't care for. Then, the cumin noodles were great and very flavorful! I know it's stir-fried, but I also think it would have been nice in a broth as well. The serving size was pretty large, so I boxed a good portion to take home for lunch the next day. All in all, good/quick service, tasty food, and large portions!! If parking wasn't so hard, I'd definitely come back but I might order delivery next time I want to eat from them. It was a great Yelp suggestion and I recommend!

I'm not a fan of QR code ordering but this spot had great food! I will definitely go back, next visit! Korean tater tots (in my head NO, in my belly YES) the fried rice was excellent with a soft egg on top, the fried chicken dish with the sauce, perfection in the crunch & the seasoning & THE SAUCE!!! it's a small spot & I do not think wheelchair accessible (old houses remodeled into food spots) also Proudly known & shown on the map as the best Gayborhood for eating!Drinks were just OK. Server was decent. I missed out on a noodle dish, please go for me!

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant. I am very happy that I did! My friends and I ordered bulgogi dumplings, chicken dumplings, chicken wings, and spicy fried bulgogi. Everything was delicious! It was full of flavor. The spice level was great because it was tolerable and had a sweet and tangy taste to it.The staff was very nice and fast even though the restaurant was full and very busy. The restaurant is small but it fits a lot of people because there is a lot of seating available. I liked that they had music playing but it was low enough to hold a normal conversation with my friends.I highly recommend it!

This place deserves all the hype. I ordered the veggie dumplings and the salmon dish fully knowing that it would be a lot of food but also willing to explore the dishes. The veggie dumplings were incredible, crispy on the outside but soft and bursting with filling on the inside. Salmon was flavorful and served with many delicious vegetables. The service was okay; I did have to prompt the waiters a lot when I wanted more water or a box. The ambiance is also nice too!

come with an appetite. large plates are very large and same with the small ones. no tots currently, the orange-ish chicken is nice and crispy with roast pork style chunks and orange peel zest style flavoring. cumin lamb noodles, sometimes the flavors are a little too mixed and jarring, but I did like the Brussel sprouts with furikake and gochujang aioli.

Great flavors and tantalizing dishes. Chiko is a Chinese and Korean (get it?) fusion restaurant with a diverse array of flavorful choices. I like that they offer selections that are like, but not exactly the traditional Chinese and Korean fare that you might expect. It's got a "good food fast" vibe without feeling like a diner. We went to the DuPont location (there are a few) and the place has a casual dining feel. Great to just pop in. Once seated you will be pointed to a QR code on the table to place your order. The food and drinks come out from a variety of staff so the service is pretty snappy. I would have given 5 stars if my lamb hadn't surprised me with a couple of bones in my bites.

First dinner in Washington DC during my visit and let me tell you!!!! It did not disappoint! The place is small but has enough seating. You order via a QR code. The food comes out very quickly, and the hot food was piping hot! Although they used QR codes for you to place your orders, the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! The Bulgogi Tots were so full of flavor. The chilled peanut noodles were such a nice surprise of flavors. It had pear, peanut sauce, noodles, and I believe cucumber. It was nice and crisp and very tasty. Def recommend this place!
