Chiko

Place is a schmedium size. It's a simple falling in line and ordering and they will bring the food to you type of sitch. Place was kept clean and orderly.We ordered the Bulgogi Tots and Soy Glazed Brisket. The tots was a bit too cheesy that it was really filling. The brisket was on point!Not my favorite place, but I would recommend for you to try if you have not tried yet.

Quiet disappointed with my visit to Chiko. For the price, I was expecting higher quality and service. I decided to go with the lunchbox. I got a pork and kimichi potsticker and fried rice. The potstickers are massive, it's literally a ball of meat wrapped in dumpling. The taste was okay, nothing crazy. Definitely didn't get much kimichi at all. The house rice was honestly tasteless. The shrimp on top was good i guess, but the meal was bland. Also it's pretty much just peas no other vegetables in it. I wasn't greeted when I entered. Wasn't told anything when I left, other than being stared down by workers. I didn't even receive utensils in the bag. Would I come here again? NOPE.

The orangish chicken was delicious, and the vibes were immaculate with friendly staff!

The Korean Garden noodles are bursting with flavor with slurpy sweet potato glass noodles and a heap of fresh veggies - shiitake mushrooms, squash, sugar peas, onions, green onions). The noodles are served pipping hot in metal bowels and a tad bit greasy. Wish the menu listed an option to add crispy tofu for an upcharge. The tofu is quite good and forgot to ask for it. I enjoyed the Korean Garden Noodles at Chiko more than bland Singapore noodles with burnt tofu than Hawkers. The red sangria was okay, I enjoyed the fresh lychee, but preferred to have more fresh juice to balance out the sangria. While there's a heap of hearty meaty dishes on the menu, wIsh there were more vegetarian dishes on the menu!I appreciate that the lunch menu is offered on the weekends with slightly smaller portions and cheaper prices. We got our food within 15 min of ordering, while some of the tables were waiting for some time. The Chiko Bethesda location is densely packed with a handful of small tables. It was a bit of a challenge to fit 2 strollers, but we managed it and people were patient with luckily no gripes. Will add to our Bethesda rotation and come back when we're in the area!

Overall- fast, delicious, and lots of yummy options! The cumin lamb, XO shrimp lo mein, and blistered green beans were all fabulous! The dumplings were okay and the kids noodles were a waste of money.The food is delicious, complex, and fun especially for being a cast-casual restaurant. There were tons of great options on the menu, fun drinks, and a dumpling happy hour. The prices are a little more than expected for the serving sizes and the fact that you don't have a server. They do bus the tables though.

So this place isn't fancy in any way, but the food is absolutely solid. Portions are heavy, flavor is there and relatively quick service. I will be back. Dumplings will be ordered again and I will pass on the orange ish chicken just for something lighter. I'm not usually a fried fan.

Chiko never disappoints. The bulgogi stir fry is downright spectacular, and the firecracker shrimp springroll is probably the best take on the spring rol I've ever had. They get seriously deep flavor in all their dishes. Great for take out, delivery, or a casual dine in.

I was very impressed with Chiko. We ordered takeaway a couple nights ago. The portion sizes were great, especially the cumin lamb noodles. I would get food from here again. The staff is very friendly. The brussel sprouts were fantastic as were the dumplings.

I stopped by got a lunch special. My food was ready on time and the ladies were so sweet. The brussel sprouts were nothing exciting but the noodles were GREAT! I wish I had ordered more. When I tasted the shrimp dumplings, there seemed to be a meat texture that was a bit surprising. As a pescatarian I was a bit concerned so I called and the ladies said I it should not contain any meat. To be safe I did not finish them and would not order them again. Based on the reviews I expected a bit more but that's ok. I was happy to try them out

I think the highlight of CHIKO is their cumin lab stir fry, which was the best tasting dish out of what we ordered. It's a nice place to try, and it is filling as well despite how "small" the portions may look. The dumplings were just okay, but I might have to come back to try their dumpling happy hour. The spicy bulgogi stir fry was not spicy at all and felt lacking overall.
