We ordered catering for a small party and it was perfect. The shawarma was superb (both the beef and chicken). I was disappointed with how popular it was because it meant I didn't have leftovers. The moutabel and hummus were great too. The "small" portions were big so there was a lot to go around. I'd definitely order this again!

Picked up food from a delivery arranged through our neighborhood pool. FOOD: the eggplant dip was phenomenal--smoky, creamy, lemony, well balanced. My daughter was pounding this by the spoonful for good reason. The chicken shawarma has good flavor and a nice crispy exterior but the chicken was very dry breast meat. The pita bread that came with the dip was dry and think and not great. The falafel wasn't crispy by the time we got it and was a little mealy and unpleasant. DELIVERY: we were told to pick up between 6 and 6:30. It didn't arrive until 6:45/6:50 and the whole pick up system for groups was disorganized. We all waited for awhile only to have to try to fish out order numbers. These should have been arranged alphabetically and then left out or called out in order for us to pick up. Also the fact they were late for a special delivery time after we ordered a half day in advance was extremely disappointing.

I have a double review. Let me explain.Our first order was through the special Thursday night NBUMC curbside pickup. Everything was absolutely delicious and wonderful, but we simply didn't have enough pita for the amount of food we'd ordered. I used the main website "contact me" to provide feedback,, and was almost immediately contacted by Chef Majed himself with an abject apology, and a commitment to make it right. The second order must have had a note because it arrived with copious amounts of pita and was every bit as amazing as the first. I haven't described the hummus, but you want some of this. It's just...glorious. and the sprinkle of tart sumac is a nice touch. Everything is upscale, and I can't wait to visit the restaurant in person one day soon.

Quite literally some of the best food you will ever eat. I went five months without and I vow to never do so again (when he left Whole Foods Foggy Bottom - Dec 2019). Two reasons to order from Chef Majed: 1) Best Chicken Shawarma ever, period. Many friends have remarked that they have never had a better shawarma plate -- you know, the Middle East traveling types -- literally never have I ever had a better hummus, nor chicken pita sandwich with pomegranate sauce. -1a) Chef's other food is also great -- I have eaten a variety of items including the lemon potatoes, beef shawarma, kebap hindi, etc. He had a long menu in his early Foodhini days for those of us who remember. 2) Chef Majed just could not be nicer -- you can't help but be addicted to the authentic warmth of his food and friendliness. A real nice guy. Let there be no doubt to the quality of your future meal!

Absolutely amazing food! We ordered in to our hotel in Crystal City. The staff at the front desk went crazy smelling this food and all wanted the business card by the time I arrived to pick it up. The chicken Schwarma was the best I've ever eaten. A warm, juicy savory treat that even my picky kids ate. Everything was homemade. It must have taken chef hours to prepare the things we ordered. I can't believer how much food there was. Our party of 4 hardly made a dent on the 3 entrees, and 3 dips. Everyone had left overs and none of us were sad about it. Absolutely will order again!

This is outstanding Middle Eastern cuisine. If you've never had Syrian food before, you will be in on a revelation. The spices, marinades, ingredients, sauces, thin pita bread, and preparation are indescribable and unique be it Falafel, Shawarma or Lemon Potatoes. Aromatic, light, never heavy or fatty, and plentiful. We look toward visiting his restaurant in DC Covid goes away. I mean it. Run, do not walk; order for catering. You will not go wrong.
