The food, overall, wasn't bad - I enjoyed my Orchiaetta pasta, and the Cajun Bucatini, ordered by another individual in our party, was particularly delicious (I might have stolen several bites)! However, the service - by Raul - was on another level. Simply outstanding. (Hence why we give five stars instead of just four.) He was helpful, cheerful, friendly, and offered good recommendations based on our taste and preferences. He was, in fact, simply the best server we had during our entire stay in the DC area, 10 star service in what turned out to seemingly be an average of a 2 star service city.

This review reflects my experience dining out with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that requires me to maintain a diet free of gluten (including cross contact).SERVICE: 4/5 starsDRINKS: 4/5 starsFOOD: 4/5 starsAMBIANCE: 3.5/5 starsVALUE: 3/5 starsOVERALL RATING: 4/5 starsYesterday, friends and I dined at the West End location of Chef Geoff's. We made a reservation for 11 online (which was modified to 12 easily over the phone); our party was seated in the middle of the large dining area, combining two round tables to the left of the host stand. The host began seating as soon as we arrived; we did not have to wait for a plurality of our party to be present.Chef Geoff's extended its Winter 2025 Restaurant Week offerings by one week, allowing a majority of our group to partake in the deal ($35.00 for three courses). Our server, Nelson, was excellent; he capably collected our dozen orders, documenting attendees' food allergies and intolerances accurately. Most in our party ordered from the Restaurant Week menu, with a coffee, wine, mimosa, or appetizer for the first course; virtually any entrée for the second course (steak and eggs had a $10.00 upcharge); and a dessert, wine, coffee, or tea for the third course.I ordered a Madras-style mimosa (cranberry and orange juice with sparkling wine) for my first and third courses. Both were quite well done, with the right ratio of juice to wine. The cava was fresh, bubbly, and light; the color was dark red and contained the appropriate balance of cranberry and orange juices. For my entrée, I ordered a CG bacon cheddar burger, substituting the original bun for the gluten-free option (with a $3.00 upcharge). Unfortunately, the fryer at Chef Geoff's is used for dishes containing gluten, so it is cross contaminated and not safe for those with celiac disease; the balsamic greens are the only innocuous option. The burger was sent out with a wooden skewer to denote my allergy to gluten; my friends with other food allergies or intolerances also had a skewer in their dishes. It was delicious, cooked exactly as I requested--very well done with no toppings other than cheddar cheese and bacon. The greens were dressed perfectly and served as an acceptable accompaniment to my burger.Understandably, Chef Geoff's cannot separate checks for parties as large as ours; we had one person pay the bill, reconciling what we owed via Venmo afterward. No automatic gratuity was applied; there is a five-percent Initiative 82 fee applied to the bill and taxed accordingly.Chef Geoff's has the best gluten-free burger in the city; I will return for another soon!

My last review for 2024! I was here with a group for dinner this past weekend, and I'm glad to finally have an excuse to come here. Chef Geoff's is in a great location, and the main dining area is spacious and attractive. They have an excellent zero proof cocktail menu, and the Cranberry Bliss Mule was bright, not overly sweet, very tasty. I only had the drink because I had other dinner plans later, but everyone else seemed happy with their orders, and a few people got dessert too. I really like the bar and would want to make my next visit focused there. The happy hour menu is extensive and available every day of the week, which is amazing for DC. Sadly the food on that menu is not vegetarian friendly, but maybe I could do an appetizer from the main menu. The service was really the highlight of the visit for me. The host and hostess were courteous and welcoming, and the server for our table was friendly and very accommodating to our group. Chef Geoff's was a great experience for a final weekend outing for the year.

Excellent for a group brunch, once again! And wow their restaurant week deal is awesome! They offer drinks rather than appetizers or desserts for second and third course, which gives nice flexibility. I had a lobster roll and it was great! Even without RW, mimosas are only $6 at brunch and they offer orange, cranberry, and pineapple. My gluten free friend can eat a hamburger with a GF bun here too and they love it. It was a big hit with my group!!

The wings were my favorite. The ranch that comes with them is the best ranch I've ever had. It had a really good dill flavor. Brussels were good , but not as crispy as I like them. The tuna poke bowl and burger were good. Bathroom was really gross and downstairs. The server was nice and gave us time to order.

After a long day outside in the sun, walking through all the tourist attractions, my family that was visiting in town was happy to sit down at a cool restaurant that had an outdoor indoor vibe. Our server Esme was very accommodating and friendly and good with my little niece. When they were out of crayons for the kids menu she gave her one of her pens to keep her preoccupied. She also gave extra bowls for me to share the gumbo. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a drink. I got the 22nd and Marg, which was surprisingly refreshing with a nice spicy kick; my boyfriend got the Bacon Washed Old Fashion and enjoyed it as well. We were all pleased with the food and the service. This is a great place for a family to enjoy a casual dining experience.

Chef Geoff's was a great find for casual American fare down the street from our hotel. Service was quick and attentive and the food was fresh and generously portioned. We had the Blackened Fish Tacos, Simple & Healthy Salmon, Madras Curry Chicken, and for starters we shared the Pepperoni Pizza and the Cantonese Pork Belly. The Blackened Fish Tacos were 'da bomb. Excellent recommendation by our hotel staff.

Chef Geoff has a welcoming modern decor. I ordered the burger which was a $12 special. That was a value considering it came with some delicious sweet potato fries. Staff were attentive and the food wait was minimal. Overall I found it to be a pleasant dining experience.

Just a quick walk away from our hotel, we were pleasantly pleased with our takeout order for lunch from this establishment. A beautiful and spacious space where we were greeted by a friendly hostess who helped us. The food was sizable, reasonably priced, and came out tasty and fresh. I thought the Andes Power Bowl was enough for two portions which I ate for both lunch and dinner. We'll definitely stop by again if we're ever in the area, and do recommend this place to others.
