We attended the 'new and improved' brunch on yesterday and the food was awful and the service of the food was a tad bit misleading. The French toast were made cheaply using regular wonder bread instead of a thicker brioche. There is no bacon only sausage links. I read a comment that they did not serve beef or pork products, hence the no bacon. Also the crab legs were salty and they also taste old. I just expected more quality food if the brunch was $70 a person. I do understand that business need to make profit and I'm fairly easy to please with food but this food was low quality.

I found this place on Twitter I believe a few weeks back, never realized it was so close to my house! COVID-19 aside, I loved this spot! I called my order in about 30 minutes early (see pictures), spoke to a pleasant person on the phone, pulled into the parking lot and was out within 7 minutes with paying and adding two drinks to my order. Sidebar: the strawberry lemonade is UH-AMAZING. It also appeared as though this is an entertainment area- I saw a stage with lights when leaving. Wish I knew of this place sooner. I look forward to visiting more, having more drinks and possibly seeing some shows!

My daughter is 8 1/2 months Pregnant and Calvert Crab closed early so we decided to come here for crab fries. We saw the picture the business posted and we're excited! NO NO AND NO!! Not one ounce of crab meat. This is not acceptable. Granted we went at 8pm the there food should still be as delicious as when they open!! Shame on you for doing this to a craving pregnant woman who paid good money hoping to satisfy a craving. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

The food here is absolutely amazing but you're definitely going to wait to get it. Our wait was ridiculous. We waited almost (2) hours. I wanted to give this place 3 and 1/2 but I can't so I gave this establishment (3) stars because the manager was extremely apologetic and refunded our entire meal. She was the epitome of customer service. No questions asked, she knew we were there and waiting and she offered to do whatever she could to fix it. That's remarkable! The food is really good and fairly priced. I used to frequent the location on MLK a while back.

Yay for black businesses!!! I've been hearing about Nipseys for years, but the one time I went there was an unexpected cover, so I never got to go. Now it's Cheers... The official name is actually Nipseys featuring Cheers at 301. As you may or may not have heard, they have a Sunday brunch that I (along with many others) was made aware of from a tweet that went viral. It may have been a better idea to wait a couple more weeks or months before checking it out, but three things made this hard to pass up: 1) $35 bottomless2) Black-owned3) It's in Upper Marlboro!!So I went, and here's what happened. My friend made a reservation for 1:00, we got there around 1:05, and waited 5 minutes for a friend. We sat as soon as he got there, and it was about 10-15 minutes before we got any service. In fact, we had to flag someone down. We asked for mimosas, which there was quite a variety: Orange, pineapple, passion fruit, and strawberry. I asked for passion fruit, and our server said they would be ready by the time we got our food (self-serve buffet style). So we got our food, which included fruit, salad, rice, green beans, turkey bacon, hash browns, baked BBQ chicken wings, fried chicken wings, grits and pancakes. There was an omelette station and red velvet waffles are made to order. When we got back to our table, the mimosas hadn't arrived yet like she said -- it was about 5 more minutes after that. I especially enjoyed the BBQ wings and the hash browns.I did notice that when food tended to run out, it was a while before it was replenished. Same for the utensils, napkins, and plates! But I say as long as you know what the deal is, you find your loopholes. I saw people getting multiple napkins and multiple (empty) plates, knowing it'd be a while before more were available. It's a buffet tradition to not reuse plates, and their stock of plates just couldn't keep up! It came to a point where they just put the pack of napkins on the bar table HAHAHA. So, the service was indeed a little slow (mimosas would occasionally be empty for a while), and the red velvet waffles took about 45 minutes. Otherwise, I loved the vibe of the place. It was a good mostly youthful crowd, and the staff was pretty friendly. The music was on point as well!! DJ was killing it. And it's a 2 hour time limit, but they didn't seem all that strict about it.So overall, yes, I give them a 3 for slow service and not restocking the buffet, plates, and napkins for quite some time. This place has so much potential and I definitely want to come back! I have faith they will soon be able to deal with the increased crowds. I blame that tweet, but at the same time I am grateful. Cheers to black business!

I attended a birthday brunch on 8/19/2023. The food was horrible. Unlike most brunch offerings, you are served your food. The food portions allotted were the equivalent of two (2) TEASPOONS of food such as eggs, grits, mac & cheese, etc. It was absolutely horrible. Forget the fact that the wait time was long to get served 2 TSP of food. There is no fresh omelette or waffle station. You have to order omelettes and waffles/french toast and it is basic. I feel like I was robbed actually. You have to pay upon entrance and are given a wrist band. So imagine getting this horrible service (talking about the food because employees were great) after paying $70 (Georgia Brown's pricing) but receiving less than the quality and service at Golden Corral ($15).A manager did come and apologize for the service and wait times (waited 30+ minutes for waffles). She stated that they were short staffed due to college students returning to campus. I was like what does that have to do with portion sizes and taste of the food. It would explain the long wait time to get your teaspoon portions though. I do not eat meat so I do not have any feedback concerning the meats or mimosas. I would personally avoid this place. There is also a $5 service fee in addition to the $55 or $70 brunch price. Remember, you are charged this upfront before you are seated and know that you are about to be robbed.Maybe the alcohol drinks are good because I do not understand how they are still in business. Seriously, the food was just that horrible. The flow of traffic of the service lines and how it created a fire hazard in the entryway for the serving line. I mean the experience was just horrible. Again, the service staff were great and at the mercy of terrible management. Maybe the cooks went back to college because I do not understand any positive reviews for this place.
