For years I've walked by and seen people eating the most amazing looking fried fish. Today I finally ordered it to go. It might look different than when enjoying it at the restaurant but OMG this was tasty! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Served with veggies and rice and beans. Friendly staff - will be back for sure!

I love this hondurean restaurant. The baleadas are soooo good they have regulars (beans and egg) also with chorizo and carne asada. Which can be a good breakfast option. The pollo con tajada doesn't disappoint. The big Horchata is huge served in a quarter container. Very friendly local restaurant in 14th st. The place is not very inviting, and it is very small, I always order to go and go to the rock creek park.

This was my first time eating Honduran food, and it was good. I had the Pollo con Tajadas. It was good--next time I would order something different because I prefer something healthier with more veggies. But it was definitely tasty and a very generous serving and I liked the restaurant. The service is casual and friendly, and they have some outside seating as well as indoor.

Recently an old friend of mine from Honduras passed and she was more than proud of her home so I thought that I would eat Honduran food. A feeble tribute of sorts but something.I'd had Honduran food a few times at about three or four places. Most of the times I've had Pollo con Rajas. This time, I wanted to try something new and something classic, Taquitos and Pastelitos. Yes all fried and similar in taste but if pulled off well, a beautiful experience. This time, they didn't have taquitos which had me on the angry side but considering the present circumstances I left them slide and doubled up on my order of pastelitos. Now, the pastelitos were everything and more. They were sizable--the biggest I've had at a Honduran spot and the curtido (I don't know if that's what they call their slaw) was "slammin'" too!* They had the right crispy consistency and the golden brown color simply set everything off. So, my meal was simple, just an appetizer but it was done right. From that I can deduce that the taquitos, whenever I finally try them will be way worthwhile. So cut on some Punta and make your way up 14th Street before the bus barn renovation, revamps the whole area.*For effect, the quote is from numerous Lovesexy and Black Album cuts.

I've never had Honduran food so when Eat The Capital posted about this restaurant I had to come through. We ordered the Pechuga a La Crema and the Pollo con Tajadas. The Pechuga a La Crema was delicious! The chicken was big, juicy and a good portion. The dish had green and red bell peppers which I loved. The Pollo con Tajadas was also incredible. Again the portion of the chicken was huge and enough for leftovers. The chicken was fried then tossed in a sauce that was delicious and had the essence of home-cooked food. The cabbage was perfectly pickled and offered a delightful contrast to the heaviness of the chicken. Lastly, the Maracuyá (passionfruit) juice was delightful! It had real passionfruit seeds in it so we know it wasn't just a passionfruit concentrate. We can't wait to come back!

I just went here for my first time today, and I really enjoyed it enough to leave a review. I went with a friend and we've never had Honduran food, however I'm used to other Latin food. The owner was sweet and so happy we told her we came from a recommendation from the @EattheCapital Instagram. We both ordered horchatas--which tasted pretty good for Central American style horchata. More brown and gritty tasting than the typical white milky Mexican horchata. We also ordered Baleadas which I can best describe as a huge breakfast burrito wrapped like a long soft taco. Delicious and came with two of them per order. Great value for DC food! $9-$11 depending on which version you like. I would definitely come back here to grab this for breakfast. Wish I had hot sauce, but I'm unfamiliar if Honduran food is typically spicy. ( I don't think so) But my favorite of it all was the carne de tejadas (did I get the name right?) which I can best describe as plantain chip carne asada nachos! Omg soo good and definitely worth the price. Steak was cooked well and not overdone. Plantain chips were freshly cooked and everything was really tasty. I would come back to venture more of the menu. Wish I took pics but we were hungry!

Great food. Took maybe 30 minutes for the food but it was a Saturday night and they were slammed busy with dine in and mostly carry out orders. First time eating Honduran food and I loved both entrees. Would definitely recommend and go again.
