Finally tried Caruso's and it really does live up to the hype. The interior is very elegant and I really liked that the seating options were adequately spaced so that the restaurant didn't feel cramped at all. Some restaurants like to maximize the number of tables, which can be uncomfortable for patrons on a busy night, but the set up at Caruso's really lends to an intimate date night. The service was excellent. Everyone that assisted us was attentive and polite and our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I wanted to know if they had any wines on the sweeter side and our server asked the bartenders to make me a sangria, which was not on the drink menu but turned out to be delicious! The pasta was some of the best I've ever had - perfect fresh, chewy texture. Flavorful sauces. The Alfredo is a must try - it's more like a truffle mushroom pasta than a genuine Alfredo, but it was so rich and comforting. We also tried the short rib ragu with gnocchi, and that was packed with flavor and tender pieces of meat. I really enjoyed this meal!

The food was delicious! Full of bold flavors, teeny tiny gnocchi, some chopped veggies, in a rich sauce with melted cheese on top. The espresso martini was delicious! The service was quick and friendly. Our server was nice and attentive. The ambiance was very Italian-esque!Highly recommended!

Another restaurant week choice. I have visited the Grocery in DC...marvelous dinner. I thought how different could the Pike and Rose location be?I had a reservation for 5 pm, just when they were opening up for dinner. The hostess said they weren't quite ready so I went to the bar to grab a cold brew. The bar had a small beer menu. I ordered the beer at the top of the menu. It was tasty and cold. The beer taps were very unique. I have included a picture. The hostess informs me my table is ready so I head inside. Similar decor to the DC location. Lots of pictures, Frank Sinatra coming through the speakers. Definitely a must visit. The waiter gives me the restaurant week menu. Everything looks good. I decide on the tomato braised pork meatballs for appetizer, chicken parmigiana for main course and cannoli for dessert. I add a glass of house red to sip on before my food arrives. The meatballs come out pretty quick. Very tasty...the sauce has to be made in house. The portion is generous and I am finishing the sauce with the sliced bread on the table. I wish I could make meatballs like this. After a few more sips and more Sinatra the chicken parmigiana arrives. It smells incredible. The cheese is perfectly melted, pounded chicken is crispy and hot. So good...I don't think I have had chicken like this ever. I eat about half the chicken (it's huge) and get the other half wrapped up. On to the dessert...cannoli. The plate and cannoli are chilled and the casing is firm with a filling that is great. They disappear quick. Definitely on par with the DC location. Excellent Italian food. I will definitely be back. More of the menu needs to be sampled.

My first visit to the DC location did not go so well, but I'm glad I gave the Pike and Rose location a shot during winter restaurant week. Made reservations on a random Tuesday and we were welcomed in and shown to our table upon entry. Our lovely waitress, Agu, provided excellent customer service and insured our orders were right. I was suffering through "dry January" and she suggested their delicious strawberry basil, lemonade, which was excellent. For dinner selections we had the Caprese salad, pork meatballs, roasted garlic Caesar salad, which were absolutely fantastic. The Caprese was especially delicious because of the imported tomatoes Those tomatoes are an extreme wow factor as they are wonderfully delicious. For the main entrée, we ordered chicken Parmesan and the baked gnocchi. The chicken Parmesan as you can imagine was straightforward and delicious, but the baked gnocchi? OMG.GGGG.The favorite profile was absolutely incredible. The herbs used were fresh and impactful the bits of mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Bits into the dish were absolutely incredible and the slivers of sliced garlic were absolutely delicious! Hands-down one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had. For dessert, we ordered the orange version of crème brûlée (I forget what it was called on the menu), and that was absolutely delicious. The other dessert wasnt as great (nutella cannoli). My wife didn't care for it too much and she said it was too sweet. On a positive note, she said the cannoli shells were perfectly crisp, as they should be.The lovely AGM, Derrick, came around to all of the tables, including our to check on how our food was an overall experience, and I was glad to share with him-It was excellent!! Just another addition to the charm. For a great Italian food experience. I would say this location is definitely a good option.Cannoli shell was fresh but filling was overly sweet

While I believe that the DC location is truly the best, the Pike&Rose location is far easier to get a reservation for and still quite delicious. I stopped in for Sunday brunch at 1 and it was very empty (maybe due to holiday weekend?). The server was so nice and somehow knew how to pop in exactly when we needed something. My friend and I shared the lemon ricotta donuts with the strawberry sauce. We both loved them! I got the Caruso's Alfredo, which was fabulous. I could have had leftovers if I reallyyy wanted them, but I did finish the whole plate. We also shared the dessert cannolis. While I enjoyed them, they didn't blow me away and I probably wouldn't reorder.

I came for brunch and it wasn't too busy. There was only one server in the small space. I got the egg, bacon and cheese sandwich and it comes with fries. Overall, the sandwich was good. The fries are crispy and soft in the middle, which I enjoy. Service was decent. It's in the same location as Owen's, as Caruso's is in the back space.

What a delightful and delicious Friday evening here! Making a reservation was easy and we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and explained their menu options, as well as recommended her favorite entrees.I was blown away by the meatballs appetizer and looked forward to my chicken parmigiana, which was an epic portion. These entrees can definitely be shared! We will definitely return to try their other items.

10/10!!! I've been here twice so far. I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It gives authentic Italian restaurant vibes! My friends and I ordered the chicken Alfredo, Neapolitan ragu, and the gnocchi. Also have tried the Caesar salad and the pepperoni garlic pizza. The Alfredo is probably the best Alfredo I've had at a restaurant. Well seasoned and very delicious authentic Alfredo sauce. The Neapolitan ragu was incredibly delicious. Just ask for some extra spice with red pepper flakes! The gnocchi was not really my cup of tea unfortunately. Pizza and Caesar salad... bomb!! The service is always good, food always tastes fresh! I tried the chicken Parmesan sliders and i would give them a 7/10. The bread to chicken ratio wasn't right (too much bread). Additionally, it lacked seasoning. The sauce on the side was also a bit bland. I'm looking forward to return for the vodka pasta!

This place never disappoints! I have been coming here for the past two years on New Year's Eve for a late dinner. The food is delicious. The place is decorated to pretty for the holidays and as an added bonus. You can sit at Owen's tavern for a few cocktails prior to sitting down for dinner. The veal piccata is always to perfection. Their chicken parm is a must have and what's an Italian restaurant without a delicious tiramisu for the closer. Dont miss out on this gem. Reservations recommended. Parking can be tough but there is paid lots available around the area.
