Carpe Diem Pizzeria

I wanted so much to like this pizzeria but I just wasn't impressed. Everything had this extra salty taste to it, the dough didn't seem cooked all the way and it was just a mushy undercooked mess. Pizza is one of those things that has to be cooked RIGHT and this one was just all wrong, especially one that advertises itself as authentic Italian.

Very racist establishment, my close friend experienced horrible customer service at this so called restaurant, he sent me a video of him being treated horribly because of the color of his skin and his appearance and was told to sit outside and wait for his order while all of the other guests who weren't black were sitting inside, the owner was yelling at him, this made me extremely furious, I would not recommend anyone come to the place, they don't deserve to be in business, if people that look like me can't eat there.

Really, truly, honestly--this is as close as you're going to get to authentic, Neapolitan pizza in the area. It's so very, very legit. Let's start with the crust. It's got that tang you want--almost like sourdough but subtler and softer. It's an amazing consistency, too--pillowy and chewy, and it holds up to not only the toppings, but it travels well for carry out, which is essential (especially right now). It never gets soggy but it's not stiff and it won't shred the roof of your mouth. In a word, it's delightful. The cheese is fantastic. Not that greasy, rubbery stuff--no, it's clearly a blend that was put together meticulously, or the most perfect mozz this cheese-loving gal has ever had. It's slightly nutty, pleasantly salty, and the perfect accompaniment to the fresh, zesty, unbelievably delicious sauce. The sauce, the sauce, the sauce... omg, the sauce. There really no words other than, the sauce!Toppings and combos are great--we've tried a bunch and I love love love the arugula and prosciutto and the diavola. The kids pizza is fantastic, too. In fact, it's one of the only pizzas my daughter will actually eat and finish. She's even eaten the crust, which is usually unheard of. They guys making this pizza know what they're doing, and they're doing it really well. A great addition to TP and worth every penny!

The pies were very delicious and made with high quality ingredients. It was real generous and legit mozzarella, there were actual pieces of tomato in the sauce. Although we were hesitant to order at first because of some of the negative review, were glad we took the chance in trying this place. This will be our go to take out pizza place from now on.

Good even, fresh dough, sauce, and cheese. Surprisingly better than the completion down the street.

Fantastic!As good as the sister Italian restaurant next door. They do thin style Neapolitan pizza. Make sure to get the calzone - we sub veg and remove the meat. Outstanding!

Finally! Excellent pizza arrived to the neighborhood and I'm thrilled. Amazing sauce, fresh ingredients, perfect crust. I'll be back every week!

We ordered a pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms, and it was pretty good. It could have used another minute or two in the oven but was decent as served. Our waiter was in need of more training--didn't even know that the answer to "What kind of sugar-free soda do you have?" was Diet Coke. Instead, he said "We don't have any sugar-free drinks here." The restaurant was nearby empty when we arrived yet we were seated at the table immediately adjacent to the only other customers in the entire place. Also note: This is the first restaurant I've ever been to that charged for parmesan cheese. Ordinarily it is provided upon request, without charge. But the greedy SOBs here charge $1 for it.

we love this place. the 4 cheese pizza is our favorite! I bring my daughter often. I read a few reviews and that has not been my experience. I also have seen a lot of different nationalities enjoying their food here and everyone seems to enjoy it. try for yourself

Personally, i am very surprised on reading the review of Chasity L.I always felt and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere at Trattoria da Lina.The neighborhood is a community that embraces diversity and as an African American woman, my family and I, love dinning at Trattoria da Lina.Racism is not part of Trattoria da Lina culture.
