Caribbean Corner

Was craving Caribbean food and decided to give Caribbean corner a try! This is located in the downtown area of Fairfax, there's no seating indoors so this is definitely a grab and go place. The menu has some varieties of options to pick from! I ordered the Jerk pulled pork and curry chicken. I was really hoping to try to jerk chicken but it wasn't ready when I came so I opted for the pulled pork! Current chicken was very flavorful and had definitely the curry taste to it (not like Indian or Asian curry though). The jerk pulled pork surprisingly had a Smokey taste and the sauce was flavorful! The only con for me was that I found the rice that came with the dishes a little too over cooked for my taste. The veggies that was paired was great!

Listen to the other reviews about them not being open during their posted hours. Went out of my way to try them out since I was craving oxtail and they were closed with no one inside. If you're in town maybe try but driving 40 minutes was not worth it.

Urgh normally I never give a place 1 star but I give up on this place even know I use to love they food. Been here couple of times and they were close with out any notice. Finally got the chance to get there since it been a while and I was truly disappointed. The worst parking it suck already and to be disappointed I want to cry .I walk in some and some guy yelling will be right out , i am like ok he was out smelling like MJ which I don't mind I smoke too here and there but the place just look ran down even more.Oxtail 1/5 $21.99- The oxtail texture was cook perfectly but omg it was salty like eating pure salt even the rice was extra salty maybe from the gravy. Mind you I love salty food but this tasted like eat sea salt . This was not edible not sure if he was too high and mess it up. Trying call but no one pick up. End up throwing away. Also the cabbage was over cook to mush and no plantain. I normally give business couple of chance but this place just ran down hillNever coming back eve again

Delicious oxtail and jerk chicken, glad there's a spot in Fairfax. There's one half the distance and time, but this one is far superior. The other customers here say this is the spot to go to in Fairfax, and after trying it, I have to agree. I will try the goat curry next...

Finally got lucky and got in when they were open! I know their hours are unpredictable and I've tried multiple times to catch them but I was just so happy to get in the door. My barber recommended I try their jerk pork since it was a Friday and he described it as melt in your mouth.It took a second to see if anyone was even in the kitchen but someone must have heard me and took my order. Only took about 5ish minutes to get my order (only one in line). Food traveled very well, still hot when I got home. That pork is no joke, it was crispy, fatty, tender, and had a really good amount of jerk seasoning on it. Came with a load of rice and peas and some plantain. Really almost two regular sized meals only for under $12 (for the large).I really hope I can catch them when they're open, I need to try their oxtail if they're doing the jerk pork this good.

Sigh.....haven't been here in years and was craving oxtails. Walked in to an empty restaurant to literally watch the "Chef" EATING while he was cooking in the kitchen. No joke...straight smacking and stirring..and was yelling at a friend on the phone informing them he was "F-ing busy like S$&!". I must've missed the rush...I totally get needing a lunch break but dude, take a break. This isn't your home kitchen and we just kinda survived a whole global pandemic. Definitely a health code violation. Do better.

Use to except the rudeness cause food was good byt Idk happen but this is the worse oxtails ive ever have had. the meats hard u cant chew it theres no gravy at all it's just dry and i broke my fork trying get the meet off the bone smh.Cabbage taste like nothing at all.Use to be my go to spot but idk anymore

I really don't want to give them 1 start but they deserve it at this point. how are you going to continuously be closed during your hours of operation? it's everyday. I use to come here when they first opened and now I don't even bother cause theyre never open during their business hours. they've also changed their brown stew chicken. and the rice is different too.I wasted my break coming here just to see you guy are closed

Great food. My new go to spot . The curry chicken was the best. The beef patties were amazing.

Some of the BEST Jamaican food I've had and I've had it prepared authentically from home. The restaurant was takeout with limited dining but loved the atmosphere. Mr Anthony's curry goat had me smiling and eating with my hands. I'll definitely be returning :-D
