Great variety of baked goods at a very affordable price, they are fresh and delicious. I loved the savory pastries and the concha , I also tried some saltenas but I wasn't a fan because they were sweet and while love sweet and salty, this were not what i would go for. But the chickenc was juicy

Cute local Bolivian/Central American bakery that recently opened up in the Trader Joe's plaza - look for their black easel set outside that states their daily specials! They had some pastries in the wall bakery case as well as breakfast options. I personally was in a mood for some empanadas, so I was happy to find them looking all delicious at the front!I ordered the queso and the pollo empanadas, and a pollo saltena. The empandas exterior was slightly crispy and a little chewy; the queso had a good amount of cheese in it, but I was a total fan of the pollo - the chicken was super well-seasoned, juicy, flavorful, and had a slight kick to it. I was surprised that the empanada itself wasn't soggy, as it had a bit of juice within! The pollo saltena was okay - a little on the sweeter side, and I feel that the exterior crust could have been better. Maybe the carne version is tastier?Staff were friendly, and there were some limited seating inside. The hot food looked delicious as well, so I'd be interested in trying a platter on the next visit.Plenty of parking in the large plaza lot.+tasty chicken empanadas!+friendly staff+some seating inside+located near Full Kee+plenty of parking in the plaza lot

Excellent quality of attention from Marlyn and Lucero, they are a patient and kind people who work on any conditions of whether to give us the best service. I think that people like them are needed in all business because if the client feels happy, the client can comeback again. I hope to get people to haute like Marlyn and Lucero. For that reason I prefer to coming to this place instead another places similar around where I never find good service. Again thank you Marlyn and Lucero.

First time in - lots of different baked goods along the wall on the left - all looked good and sugary! I tried one each of the empenada pollo, saltenas de pollo, and tamales de pollo. So far I've had the saltena - amazing! And the empenada - also delicious. Try the green pepper sauce they offer, it's flavorful with a nice tiny bite. Will definitely be back! PS It's located where the long time pho Vin Loi restaurant used to be.

Stop what you're doing & swing by this bakery now! If you're looking for a delightful mom & pops bolivian bakery, this is the place! My sister and I smelled the bread from next door and decided to check it out... WE LOVED IT.We were greeted by a younger lady and despite the language barrier, she was very kind & friendly enough to try to explain the sweets and menu to us as best she could. We used google translate and she was very, very patient while she assisted us. We ordered an entree that was delicious even thought I couldn't pronounce it, it tasted amazing!! The saltenas & empanadas were hot, loaded with meat inside, and super flavorful. I used to get empanadas from a cart on campus when I was still in school - theirs took me back to my college days and reminded me of how much I used to love having empanadas. 10/10 would recommend the chicken one, spinach & cheese, & pork (pork one is soooo juicy)!Eventually another woman comes out and assists me in choosing bread to take home to my family from their wall of selections! Please see images. She took her time to describe each of the fillings, flavors & recommended some of her favorite desserts to me. There were very unique and interesting flavors like guava too! We purchased a guava pastry, pineapple, custard, custard cream, strawberry, cheese & cinnamon sugar pastry - our household has a sweet tooth that was very much fulfilled!!They were so good that we actually returned the very next day for more bread, empanadas & dessert. My family had demolished almost all of the desserts & breads I had brought home the day before and my boyfriend wanted to try some of the fresh cakes that they had. They recognized us instantly and gave us the biggest smile & the younger lady who worked at the front chirped a happy buenos diaz when we were on the way out. We will be coming back again as we love supporting small businesses especially the ones that care so much to treat us like family. Although we come from two opposite sides of the world and were unable to speak a common language, we were able to smile & enjoy ourselves in the universal language of food with respect to each other's cultures. Thank you for sharing bolivian food with us and bringing joy to our stomachs & hearts!

I happen to be in the plaza looking for quick bite, I went in, bakery has so many goodies. Bakery offer pastries, cakes, sweet bread, cake for occasion wedding cakes, birthday cakes. I order the ( patty) Saltena de carne ( meat) and pollo ( chicken). The saltena has plenty of chicken and meat but I do not like raisins or any sweet ingredients in my patty, was too sweet for me to eat. Restaurant offers different breakfast options, which include scramble eggs, tortilla, if you looking for breakfast option should tried it. Restaurant does have a couple of tables available. The staff was friendly and courteous, hopefully if there a next time, I will tried the breakfast. The restaurant is located in spacious plaza so plenty of parking.

I happened to notice this new place when I stopped by Trader Joe's today and I'm so glad I did. I grew up in San Diego and went to Panaderias there and across the border in Mexico frequently, so this was a visit full of memories for me. Not much is labeled, but this is the kind of place where you shop with your eyes. Grab a basket and tongs from the front counter and get what looks good from the pastry shelves. I got an assortment of about 6 different bakery things and 4 empanadas to take home. I made some Mexican hot chocolate, warmed up the empanadas in the toaster oven and we were set for a feast for 4...all for only about $16. We didn't even finish it all in one sitting. The concha were light and fluffy and great dipped in hot chocolate. The real winner for me were the soft, yeasty Danish pastries filled with custard. I'll definitely be back soon for more of those. The empanadas held up well to reheating. The carne one was especially tasty.I'm excited to go back and try some more things from this place.
