Captain Cookie and the Milk Man Food Truck

Alrrighhhttt!! Okkkkkkkk.I was just Hangryy. I tried again and found Donovan working inside a plaza by GWU! I got the cookies of the day I think. It had Cayenne that day so why not. Then I was a little confused about the ice cream because I'm not used to many flavors so I got the Salted Caramel. So I made this beauty out of double chocolate cookie and salted caramel! Amazing experience!

The truck was at the Kreeger Museum, had been there for hours and was charging customers for their orders. Good to hear you agree prices are supposed to be displayed.

5 stars all around! A must visit in DC. We stumbled across this place and it was so fun also brought us to a great food court right off of DuPont circle.

It's been forever since I've last had any cookies from Captain Cookie. They used to roll up to my work and since I've started working from home, I forgot how delicious these cookies are. I'm grateful to whichever neighbor set it up so they can go to my neighborhood. I thought I would never get a chance to try them again. I only bought 6 and regretted that when I realized I had to share these with my children. I mean I love my children and sharing is caring... but these cookies are too good and I failed to realize how much cookies my daughter can put away. I really should have bought a dozen. Sad that the double chocolate cookie sold out but the basic chocolate chip is anything but basic. God... I'm now feening for some of their cookies and microwaving chips ahoy is not satisfying my craving.

Found this place from yelp and was very excited to try it out. However, was super disappointed from the moment I entered the establishment. The lady at the front was on her phone and looked at us as if we were bothering her?? (Aren't you the one working?). A lot of unnecessary attitude was given. Anyways, when we told her we needed some time to think she rolled her eyes at us and went back on her phone. Not professional or friendly at all. I got the cookie sandwich with vanilla icecream. The cookie itself was very tasty but a little hard and the icecream was yummy. However, as I was finishing my cookie sandwich, I found a tiny piece of hair inside my cookie as if it was baked with it. Very disgusting. Super disappointed in this place because I really wanted to have another dessert place to go to in DC.

Cookies and ice cream?! And you can customize your cookie sandwich to whatever you want? What more could you ask for?? Captain cookie is so tasty! We liked them so much we hired them to be the dessert at our wedding. Our guests loved that we chose something different and we were very happy with their responsiveness and their product. Highly recommend them for all of your ice cream and cookie needs!

I'm taking the time to do this cause it not only affected me but several other parties and wanted to share our horrible experience tonight. The "cookie dough" ice cream tasted terrible with NO cookie dough and lots of attitude from the girl that kept the door locked from 9:05-9:15. Apparently she could not let us in because they were making fresh cookies and they were too hot for us. So she continued to make her to go orders with all of us standing outside watching our cookies hot off the press. By the time she opened up we were handed cold and burnt cookies that nobody should ever have to pay for. Not on a cold rainy night when all you wanted to enjoy was a simple pleasure and you ventured out in the rain to get it. By far my only bad experience in DC. Disappointed cookie connoisseur

If you're in the area and craving something sweet, might pop in here for cookies and ice cream. DefinitelyNothing special but satisfies a sweet craving. I opted for the open faced chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream, and a side of snickerdoodle cookie. Ice cream is fine, chocolate chip cookie was pretty bad (supposedly it was a bad batch per the staff), and snickerdoodle was fine. Again, an option if you're in the area craving sweets

Captain Cookie rolled through beautiful Tysons Corner, VA, where I just so happened to find myself on a vibrant spring morning. While my impetus for getting something more so came from the fact that it was free through an event, I did some research after the fact and determined that Captain Cookie has quite the reputation in the DC metro area.But, as I have emphasized in many of my reviews, Joan Jett's wise words ring loudly in my ears: "I don't give a damn 'bout [its] reputation."I ordered an ice cream sandwich with peanut butter cookies and vanilla ice cream.Four (4) stars are attributed to the RICHNESS and VOLUPTUOUSNESS of the ice cream sandwich's taste and appearance. It was truly one of the PLUMPEST items that I've had the pleasure of shoveling down my gullet (and these ice cream sandwiches are so thique that you do indeed have to *shovel* them down your gullet). This is a good thing. The peanut butter cookie did not have the faintest flavor of peanut butter, for which I deduct one-half (0.5) of a star. Whatever the flavor was, it was good.One (1) star is attributed to the JOYFULNESS of Captain Cookie and the Milk Man's truck. The vehicle was fully equipped with beautiful, yellow decal. Yellow is the color of sunshine, happiness, and warmth. The ice cream sandwich provided the first two, but not the third.A final half (0.5) of a star is attributed to the employee's SERVICE quality and the WELCOMING quality of his EYES.Overall, I would recommend Captain Cookie for your next middle school throwback ice cream event. You will find the products rich, voluptuous, plump, joyful, and welcoming.

Real soft and delicious chewy cookie (s) with good prices unlike other food connoisseurs at the Western Market ( GWU Mall ) within Foggy Bottom / GWU area. These owners are real nice and pleasant. PLEASE support the independent-run dessert provider. Smile! Yes, easy to overlook this hidden gem place. :)
