This is perhaps the most overpriced spirits store I've seen inside the District. For instance, a Domaine Chandon for $38 there that's about $20 at my neighborhood store. The guy at the register was friendly but didn't know much--another customer was looking for aperol and the cashier didn't know what aperol was, so I passed the customer a bottle of aperol (I happened to be standing in front of that section). The cashier said that he has worked at the store "a long time" but only knows basic things like Hennessy. I have mixed feelings about the selection as they definitely have some less common/more obscure items you might not find everywhere, but at the same time, they may have only one variety of a particular liqueur (like St. Germain). Also, while the super high ceilings are cool architecturally, you can't see that high up, which makes it difficult to find some things that may be on a high shelf. I think I'll stick to Harry's in Navy Yard.

This store sucks. I've been here twice, and both times were due to it being the closest liquor store. Both times I noticed how high-priced their liquor is, but when you are in a time crunch, you buy and go. The other thing I observed as an African American man is that the workers are not very receptive. As soon as I walked in, they offered no help but looked at my movements as if I planned to steal one of their overpriced bottles. They offer no support, didn't provide a bag to carry my bottle, and didn't utter more than three words to me. I do not recommend this place because of the price point and the obvious disdain they have for African Americans. They deserve this one star.

First time customer as I just moved to the area and this was the closest liquor store. I selected a bottle of vodka and a 6-pack of ginger ale (regular non-alcoholic ginger ale). When I placed my items on the checkout counter there was an iPad right there and the clerk rang everything up for a total of $33. I pulled out cash instead of using the iPad and suddenly the ginger ale jumped from $3 to $13 and the total increased accordingly. I asked why and the clerk just kept pointing at the iPad without speaking and I grew very uncomfortable. I handed over the cash and left while looking for a "credit only" sign, which I did not see. Would not recommend unless you are hard up for liquor or wine and this is the only place open.

Based on the reviews, I expected more. Selection wasn't great, some of the prices were up to 50% higher than other places for the same items and other than smiling, the staff weren't very helpful. Will not be back. They are open late so, that's about the only plus I saw.

Extortionate Pricing IMHO. It seems that the owner blatantly makes up prices and gouges customers at checkout. The store itself is not particularly inviting. It is only worth visiting as a last resort and, even then, best avoid. The location is fine, so I wish this was a better liquor store. Luckily, there are much better alternatives close by.

Nice shop, but everything in here is overpriced. You're basically paying for convenience. I suspect the cashier makes prices up on the spot. I was going to pick up a bottle of champagne and a bottle of rum. I ended up just going to Costco days later where I found both of the same exact items (same brand, fl oz, etc) for half the price

went in to buy a bottle of plain vodka (on my birthday) and it was $19.99. When I was walking out I saw a flavored vodka for $20.99 and asked I could exchange it and pay the difference. The man at the register was unbelievably rude to me and my friends for asking a simple request. Not coming back here ever even though it's the 2 blocks from me...

Never seen a place with so many options. Absolutely crazy. Prices are good, can't beat 'em in DC. You can literally find ANYTHING!!! I bought Dusse XO, the price is 269, however, because I had misunderstood it to be 249 on the phone, the cashier was nice enough to honor it and give me it for 249.
