This was a spontaneous lunch stop. We had dinner reservations for a different restaurant so we didn't want to fill up on a huge lunch. After shopping nearby, I suggested to hubs we split food somewhere and grab a drink. I found this place and he agreed. It was a very short walk from our hotel as well.I walked in and luckily 2 seats were available at the bar. I was greeted immediately and given a menu. The bartender came by shortly after and offered to take my drink order. Since I spontaneously chose this place, I did not look over the menu too much prior to our visit. Hubs went to drop off work stuff so I arrived first and ordered a beer. Hubs ordered the same once he arrived and we agreed on sharing The Italian Grinder sandwich. The sandwich was really good surprisingly. Not as good as a NY deli but still good. It came with these humongous onion rings and we sat there with our jaws on the ground, it was unique. The food was good. The place seemed cleaner than many places but it appeared like it could use a good detox. I might head here next time while hubs is working but if not, I know hubs will visit again for sure.

Our group of four visited Capitol City Brewing on a Sunday around 4pm. Upon arrival, it quickly became apparent that the restaurant was severely understaffed. After spending several hours outside in the snow, sleet, and rain, we were cold and eager to warm up, so we decided to stay. Our table was located right by the entrance, and while the interior doors were closed, both exterior doors were wide open. Given how cold it was, I was going to attempt to close them. An employee was standing near the interior doors, so I politely said, "Excuse me," and began to pull one of the doors shut. Unfortunately, the door brushed against his arm. I immediately apologized, assuring him it wasn't intentional. He responded rather abruptly, saying loudly, "I'm a person too." I apologized again, explaining that I had not meant to bump him, and continued to close the exterior doors. I then needed to go back inside through the interior doors. The same employee was standing right in front of them, so I knocked and informed him that I needed to return to my table. He stared at me for a moment before begrudgingly moving aside. This interaction felt off, and we observed him being similarly unwelcoming to other guests trying to enter or exit. It was surprising to see someone in a customer-facing role behave this way.Three at our table had Rueben's. They were good. Lobster Bisque was great! Overall, we were left with a negative impression on our visit.

Didn't snap any pictures, but that's because the staff was nice enough to let me charge my phone during our visit! They only make two beers - Amber waves and a Kolsch. They were both decent, could have been colder. For food we had the chipotle chicken wrap & the Italian sub. Very yummy and the fries were HOT! It's also walking distance to the White House, so it was a good stop along our route!

We stopped in during lunch time while attending a work trip. There was about 7-10 of us. I did not hear any complaints about the chicken Cesar salad, grilled chicken sandwiches, chicken tacos, or the tequila Mexican quesadilla. What I can say is our server wasn't the nicest, was rushed, and could care less about questions we may have had regarding the food. We asked what was in one of the house soups and he was very vague. Saying something along the lines of it's a red base soup with chips on top and that's all... it was quiet when we got there but seemed to pick up over the hour

This place has been here quite a while. Great place to watch sports. Good service at the bar and the food was good. It's a little dark in the place at night. They do take reservations.

Decent sports bar to grab wings and a few beers. Nothing special or worth a special trip. Service at the bar was fine. 2.75 stars.

The burger was excellent and the service was sufficient. Typical bar environment but it wasn't crowded so that was nice. I'm sure it gets pretty loud in there when packed.

NOTE: I came here just to eat. Didn't try any beers and this was such a hard review because:- the service was excellent - the fries were great (tho small portion)- the place was cool- the burger was SO lame!"1/2 lb juicy burger" was dry and unremarkable even boring. A Burger King like char flavor which was good but it was dry, the cheese unmelted (was that even cheddar?), the bun dense and just not that good. I loved the fries though, hot and crispy though kind of a small portion. They work as a team behind the bar and service was excellent. They don't hang and chit chat - they work! Really like the place I'm from out of town and should have just ordered something different!

Only had a beer. Kinda pricey at $7-$23 pint and they only serve pints. Got the Cloud Walker Hazy IPA - good juicy IPA. For HH their beers are $5 and they only had two of their beers on tap. Bar is nice.

We visit craft breweries wherever we go. When we saw Capitol City just down the street from our son's office, we figured we'd give it a try. From a beer perspective, Capitol City gets 2-stars. Nothing to get excited about and they only brew 2 in-house: Capitol Kolsch and Amber Waves. If it were still 1992, these would be good craft beers. They don't hold up against the crowd of modern day craft beer options. Mostly, this place seems like a sports bar. There's a large bar near the center and lots of tables and tvs. We didn't have any food, just the one flight of beer that was available. Our bartender was awesome. If you're here for sports and food, I'm sure it's fine. If all you want is craft beer, choose another brewery.
