Welp, this may very well be my favorite cheesesteak truck in DC! Moved here from Philly and am always kind of iffy when I see these trucks. I've tried a few other cheesesteak truck varieties and while they were good, they never really stuck out in my mind.I don't think I've ever seen this truck before but just happened to be in the mood for a cheesesteak today and voila, there they were! For $9.99 you can pick any cheesesteak off their menu plus you get the combo fries + drink! I went with the campfire which has tomato, lettuce, onions, peppers, mushrooms, banana peppers, jalapenos, mayo, and cheese. And of course I went with whiz because that's the only cheesesteak cheese I'll ever get! Service was very quick, only had to wait a few minutes. And the dude was super friendly as well! My meal came out in this cute little box with a freaking ton of food! This is definitely one of the larger lunch portions I've seen at the trucks. The sammich was messy as all heck but so freaking good!! And the fries were those battered crunchy ones that are my favorite! I couldn't eat the whole thing since it was such a large portion so I will have a nice little snacky later!

I think this truck may have rebranded itself from a cheesesteak truck to a Mexican truck. In any case the food is fantastic!I got the pork carnitas tacos that were very similar to street tacos you'd see in Mexico. Coworkers ordered bursting burritos and enormous chimichangas and all had big grins on their faces. The sauce offered ranges from mild to hot (and they do mean HOT). The guy taking your order will ask, "are you sure?" a few times in warning. I had the medium sauce which was a nice green sauce with a kick.Horchata seems to only be available during the warmer months but the churros are excellent.

I've eaten from Campfire twice. The service is friendly and pretty quick (though obviously longer lines will add time) and the prices are right. I've had a cheesesteak and a cheeseburger there. I'm a Philadelphian, so I ordered a cheesesteak from them skeptically... especially when they asked me if I wanted lettuce and banana peppers on it. Once I had clarified that I wanted "American, with" and then that that meant that I wanted the steak with American cheese and grilled onions (and nothing else), they delivered a respectable product. I could note some subtle ways that they deviate from the canonical Philadelphia way, but I won't, because it was a pretty good sandwich. The cheeseburger was also pretty solid... it's a straightforward burger, but it's not too dry, not too greasy, and comes with crisp lettuce and tomato. On the side, the fries are made right. All in all, it's a good experience. They're nice. You get a hearty serving of pretty good food at an inoffensive price. I'll go again.

I definitely enjoyed my meal from this food truck- I ordered the chicken cheese steak combo ($10). I liked that it included green peppers, jalapenos...and they didn't charge extra for it like some similar trucks. The service was great and I'll definitely try them again.

This truck camps out near my office a couple of times a week, and I find myself giving in more often than I should admit.Very satisfying cheesesteak (I get their signature, with banana peppers, tomato, lettuce, and onions) and great fries. Friendly staff as well. They also keep a jug of Old Bay at the window to sprinkle on top of your fries.

So while it's a high quality burger and fries, it's still a burger and fries. The wait is typically super long unless you catch it at off peak hours. I do recommend stopping by. The mouth burning does just that with great flavor. The spice pops. It comes out warm perfect! Fun fact for all you southerners like me, they have old bag seasoning! Everything is better with that. The Philly cheesesteak fries look awesome!

Whatever the cheeseburger is made of tastes a little weird. The fried were decent. I don't think I'd come back. To each his own.

Wow! What a great cheesesteak! Peppers, mushrooms, onions, and whiz, just the way I like it (I also added provolone for good measure!) French fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Reasonably priced ($7.99 steak and $2.99 to add fries and a soda). They also have burgers and chicken wings, which I haven't tried, but definitely would, based on my cheesesteak experience.
