"This by far was an amazing experience! I loved everything about this restaurant, the greet staff, wait staff and the food dishes were all spectacular. The decor was overwhelmingly beautiful. Dined here for a belated Valentine's Day and this did not disappoint. I cannot wait to return for another experience. Our dishes were the salmon and lobster risotto. For appetizers we had the bacon tower and hush puppies. Although I'm not a bacon eater, the table side experience by far was a delight. Glad I chose this restaurant!, it did not disappoint!!"
"I stopped by yesterday night with some friends for dinner. We were drawn as one of us is a big whiskey fan. The second we walked in the restaurant we were all impressed- it's a beautiful, cool, sophisticated place and the walls lined with bottles are very impressive. We all loved watching the bartenders slide the ladders around and climb up to the ceiling to get specific bottles. It was a quieter night, but the service was fast and our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Our whiskey loving friend got the house cocktail, a Jack Rose, which was dangerously good. We ordered a variety of dishes, from burgers to the ham and biscuits to a beet salad. The food was fancy and very delicious, but still a good deal for the price. I would love to come back and spend time upstairs, or splash out and take the time to order a tasting flight. Overall we all enjoyed our time at Jack Rose!"

"Made dinner reservations for 2 on a Saturday at 6pm. Upon arrival I was surprised that the restaurant was pretty empty, as I was expecting the need for reservations. When I mentioned that to the hostess, she said it would get busier soon. It did get busier but not where every table was occupied. But reservations are still a good idea.I tried one of the craft cocktails, the Southern Sky. I took a video of it being presented. It was fun but not as much smoke as you would think. I was also surprised that I didn't get a buzz from it. It was pretty good though. The cornbread bites were delicious! I was happy to see them because I didn't see cornbread on the menu and was disappointed at first. For my entree I ordered the crab cakes. The server wanted to call out that they were smoked so to not expect Maryland crab cakes. But once they arrived, I honestly wouldn't have known there was a difference. They were delicious and tasted like I would expect a crab cake to taste. Opted for mac & cheese instead of fries for a side which was a smart decision because it was just how I like it: baked on top but cheesy inside. So good! Kept the other side of Brussels sprouts (which were a bit too charred and greasy for my liking, but still good).Ordered a blondie for dessert. It underwhelmed me and needed more ice cream, so I didn't finish it.This is a cute but small spot, playing country music, and with some fun decor (see the video of the different types of wood). It's in a great location with plenty of parking options (street and garage). A solid spot for food and drinks."
"Nice spot, pretty clean, great sushi. The service is a bit slow though, and a few times I've had wave down the server ti come check on our table, thus in more than one visit. Overall good experience for what you get of food value."
"Who knew this fun bar was nestled within Chinatown - will definitely be returning!I stumbled into Crimson Whiskey on a Saturday evening while looking for a place to avoid the cold temps outside. We were greeted immediately by the hostess and directed downstairs to the primary whiskey bar. The downstairs area is surprisingly big - we were drawn down there by the awesome sound of a brass band and vocalist. The vibe and energy was fantastic; the band was playing all sorts of RnB and pop hits on a small raised stage. About 30-40 patrons total were scattered throughout the 2 large bars and multiple cocktail tables and booths. The space is warm and inviting, with lots of wooden and leather (maybe feaux leather) seating. Shoutout to the band for playing some great hits - we were singing and dancing along all night (until midnight when the band stopped). The drinks were really delicious - most cocktails range from $13-16 and are made with care. We had the house old fashioned and cafe espresso cocktail; I was really pleased with the quality of both drinks and you can tell they are made with quality ingredients. Shoutout to the bartenders! They also have a food menu with some elevated American fare options - we didn't order any food but what came out of the kitchen to other tables looked solid. Will definitely be returning for another old fashioned.Pro tip - avoid nights where there's a game or large event happening at the capital one arena. The caps game ended around 10:30 after which time, the bar became PACKED wall to wall."
"Amazing Buffet. It is very understandable why the waitstaff steered us to the Buffer rather than menu items. Great large Taj Mahal beer. Service was relaxed and attentive. Ambiance was relaxed and reflective of Northern Indian design."
"This is a great local spot for some Bourbons , Beers and hearty food. There are live music at times and the overall atmosphere of the place is inviting and lively. We enjoyed our fried pickles, burger, bourbon flight, beer and tea very much. Everything was delicious. And service was good. Parking is not a concern, ample parking all around in the shopping center. Highly recommend by @WineDinenVacay"

LOVE this spot. We had a large party which they accommodated well with a spacious table in between the bar and main dining area. It was a girls brunch so lots of yapping in what felt like a cozy and classy environment. The ambiance was perfect, especially the chandeliers in the large modern barn like space. We could hear one another so the acoustics in the space weren't an issue. It's always irks me whenever the music is too loud or the room doesn't handle all of the noise of a restaurant well. My caesar salad with anchovies was a winner. Drinks were spot on too, though I don't remember what I had. Probably a cocktail of some sort!Plenty of options around the venue for drinks, snacks, and entertainment afterwards. We went to the top floor of the the pizza spot for a private experience. The parking at this place (2 Silos) can be hit or miss depending on whether they have an event going but definitely worth visiting. Can't wait to come back here and try their other dishes at Black Sheep!

Love it! We arrived early and they had a private event and they called to let me know, the service was great as well as the drinks and appetizers. I didn't feel like having dinner but I want to go back and try it just for the atmosphere. Thanks to the host Jack Rose for calling me and being the best!

This place is a gem for bbq and meat lovers. We had a big group and our server Nicholas did great. Honestly deserves a recognition from Manager! He took care of our big group with ease.i loved how this place put their special kick to bbq to crab cakes, devil eggs and steak rolls. You eat every dish and you get the the grill smoke taste. We got a big platter like sampler, and OMG pure awesomeness. The meat is soft and perfect and yet crispy where it needs to be. Side dishes were perfectly seasoned and portions just on point. Our drinks were just right- from beer to cocktails to hard liquor. We happily rolled out of the place. I suggest this place for either a Happy Hour, chill night or a fun group outing! The prices are normal for area but it's totally worth it.

New to the area and felt a little hung over this Sunday, I had a craving for soup and sushi. Bless for Kusshi sushi. Came in around 1-1:30 and there were plenty of tables to pick from. The bar areas looked great if you're into watching sports. I did appreciate the "low top" area not having TVs so I could have my husbands undivided attention lol. Upon entering, we got seated right away and the server gave us some tap water. In terms of beer, it was cool to see Kirin Ichiban light! My husband loved it. I was in the mood for a Coke Zero but they only have Diet Coke, it will do lololol. While reviewing the menu, I knew I wanted soup but it was cool to see all the types of noodles and soup options there was. My husband got the tea pot soup and we weren't sure if we could share, so I just let him have it. But honestly, how you eat it - it could have been a great starter for two people. For entrees I decided to get the spicy miso ramen, shit spicy yall. Had the pepper stuck in my throat for a second and my ear holes were burning! Lololol. It was very ramen noodle forward and the bamboo shoots taste definitely take over the broth. I personally might skip them next time. So, ya girl was feeling greedy and decided to get the sashimi sampler - 12 pieces. I decided to eat the sashimi first and I couldn't even finish the ramen. Just at the egg, meat and enjoyed the broth. My husband got the kusshi noodles and loved it! All the meat in this yall. You could even get it spicy! Some people got seated next to us and automatically wanted what my husband got lolol. If you're into wok noodles then you'll love the kusshi noodles. Also, I just want to say I enjoyed the art of Kusshi Sushi. I'll definitely come back here for my sushi and ramen fix.

During my stay at Motto by Hilton in Washington, D.C., I had breakfast at Crimson Cafe, and the experience was delightful. The cafe's atmosphere was warm and inviting, blending a modern aesthetic with a touch of Southern charm. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles and provided attentive service throughout my meal, ensuring a pleasant start to my day. The menu offered a variety of options, catering to diverse tastes, and I was impressed by the fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation of the dishes.I ordered the buttermilk pancakes complemented by blueberries. The ginger beer was flavorful. The balance of quality and portion size was excellent, and the overall experience reflected Crimson Cafe's commitment to great hospitality. Whether you're a guest at the hotel or a local stopping by for a meal, Crimson Cafe is a fantastic choice for breakfast in the heart of the city.

We went here for a family buffet lunch. It was a bit of a drive but worth it! It's a buffet style menu so you get a wide selection of lunch, dinner, and dessert items. We loved every dish. The dessert were so decadent! I loved how gaudy and ostentatious the decor is. The staff were polite and attentive. They were quick to serve more water and ask questions. We realized they charged my daughter for a child status and she's under 4 which should have been free. Definitely check the bill and inquiring if they is the case. Overall, it was delicious and we will be back.

A group of us reserved an igloo at King &Rye. This was our second year in a row as it is a great time and perfect for the holidays. One of the managers, Leo, was helping out the waiter and told us a story about his tattoo and how it related to his grandmother. The service was outstanding and Leo really was personable. Since no one had reserved the igloo after us we were permitted to stay an extra hour. The shareable small plates and entrees were very good and large enough to share with the eight people in our party. The pork Shank was the highlight, extremely tender and full of flavor. We also had the tomahawk, and short rib paella. Old fashions and specialty winter inspired cocktails were flowing! The igloos fit up to 8 people and there is a $200 minimum which is not hard to meet at all with a party of 8. Great set up for a holiday gathering with friends or family.

"We did the igloo dinner in December and the food was so good. The tomahawk was cooked to perfection. The duck fat potatoes and macaroni and cheese balls were reordered at least 3 times each. Highly recommend the private select old fashioned and the cast iron skillet cookie with ice cream for dessert at the end. You will leave feeling very fat but also very happy."
"This is my second time here. If you are looking for a great upscale place for food and drinks, with a chill atmosphere, Bourbon Boulevard is for you. Don't come here if you keep asking about prices, or open your wallet to little moths flying out. If you're trying to be Rex McGroupon, or the DisCount of Monte Cristo, don't come here. It's expensive af and you will enjoy every single morsel.Tonight was the hubby's birthday and I wanted somewhere special. Bourbon Boulevard is that somewhere special. It's a manly place with beef, hard liquors, and the works. I love it! The jazz band lulls you in as you're seated. The lounge area looks just as comfortable as the main dining. I love the dimly lit room, as if it is our own little secret. But before I get to what we ordered, I need you to understand Bourbon Boulevard for what it is to me. I love food, not as a glutton, but as a foodie. I love the smell, the textures, the flavors. I savor each bite and experience my meal. Whoever owns and works at this restaurant, is in love with food. I mean, they really love food in every aspect and essence that food can be loved. This is not a restaurant where someone just cooks good. The food here is a love story, between someone who puts their enjoyment of sharing good food with the ability to create culinary masterpieces. This restaurant is what I can only imagine how Belle felt during the "Be Our Guest" scene of Beauty and the Beast. The food and service here are tremendous! We decided to go with a variety of small plates: (Round 1) Steak Tartare, Grande Baby Back Ribs, and Fig, Prosciutto and Goat Cheese Salad. (Round 2) Foie Gras, Seared Scallops, and Tandoori Tiger Prawns. (Round 3) Russian Osetra and Raw Oysters. Dessert was the Bread Pudding. Our drinks were an Smoked Old Fashioned and Smoked Mezcal Negroni, along with a glass each of Riesling with Round 3.PROS:The FoodThe ServiceThe AtmosphereReservationsThe Jazz BandCONS:(only if you're Cheap O. Pennypincher) The PriceThe Parking being right next to a Chick-fil-a with a drive thru. There was a school bus blocking the entrance/exit and it made it difficult for vehicles trying to leave.OVERALL:I recommend this place for those who savor life in general. This isn't food for a buffet-runner or speed eating contestants trying to do a quick meal. This is leisurely eating that can generate great conversation and explore flavors. This is where you take high-end deal clients, your wonderful spouse of years, or friends who don't ask "who's all gonna be there". Bourbon Boulevard is a celebration in itself, because just being alive to devour the world is a triumph. Go and enjoy this restaurant."
"Chicken + Whiskey, what a cute little gem nestled in Navy Yard. Not sure if this chain will last. The menu is limited and the food is just okay. It's good but not a place that one thinks, Yummers let's go to Chicken and Whiskey. There is just too much competition food wise in the area. Customer service is fantastic! I'll give them that. Ambiance is casual. Parking is a nightmare. Especially on game days. Overall, I'm not sure I'd return. Glad I did try!"
"what a great bar that seems like it doesn't get talked about in town.My gal surprised me with a trip to DC last weekend. On top of that, was the surprise we would be staying at the WaterGate Hotel. We noted the lobby lounge when we were checking in, and made note to stop in later in the evening And that we did, around 6pm ,to start our night. It's a hotel bar so didn't expect much, but maybe those low expectations helped magnify how nice s to-in it was. the wall/entrance is build out of clear whisky bottles. It created a cool ambiance to start things off. The base of the bar was similarly adorned with rows of bottles. The 2 bar keeps were quick to say hello and offer up a drink. I noted that they really were a whisky bar with a few good options, so I got a nice 12 year scotch. I asked for it neat, with a water on the side. The bartender without me having to ask, set a water dropper next to the drink. I hadn't seen that nice touch in a while. Impressive. We were on our way quick, but did stop in the next night. I had a Old Fashioned that was on point that time. Some good old rock, was playing and the crowd was in a good mood too. Hopefully we are back soon, as this is my whisky bar in DC."
"This place is a ViBe!!! Randomly was on Hst with my good girl friend, looking for a nice brunch spot. All the hot spots were full and long waits, so we stopped by Smoking pig on the humble. This place is a GEM. Great vibes ! Great music! Diverse atmosphere, Good food!!! And what a great bar tender / manager (Travis) was. Also this place is black owned With a very diverse group of people coming through. I can't say enough things about this place. Me and girlfriend both was happy and said this will be our Lil spot to come kick it and chill every so often. Thanks smoking pig for the love and great food!"
"3.5 star place. 1. Service: annoyed, doesn't like patronage despite empty bar and careless and dismissive2. Drinks: not that good Their mixed drinks skills aren't even good, so I don't get the snobbery 3. You can watch sports in this bar as it has 2 decent size tv on 2 different endsI don't see myself coming here again."
"Thursday 1/2/2025I've never had a real authentic sushi experience so my friend Tyler recommended the firecracker roll from kusshi sushi.I made an online order through uber eats and got the takoyaki $9, Kusshi seared fatty salmon belly (nigiri) $11, pan-fried pork gyoza $11, Kusshi wings $14, and the firecracker roll $17.- the firecracker roll was a first time experience for me and it was alright (I still don't see the sushi hype).- The salmon nigiri was also a new item for me and it was pretty good. It had a sweet & savory type of sauce that really elevated the taste.- Takoyaki (octopus balls) is once again another item I had never tried before and they were a nice surprise. They were topped with flakes and a sweet, savory white sauce & brown sauce that complimented it well.- The kusshi wings were pretty good but could've benefited from the wings being more moist by saucing them a bit more (the sauce was good). Didn't realize until after but $14 for 6 wings is pretty ridiculous. Wings should not be more than $2 per wing.- The pork gyoza (pan-fried) was alright but none special.Overall, the food was pretty decent but also very EXPENSIVE when you consider some of the portions received."
