They have a good deal for 3 tacos. I tried the butternut squash (savory, paired well with the feta cheese) and sweet potato (pretty sweet). I also asked for salsa on the side and that helped elevate the flavor!Great cozy place to meet up with some friends and escape the weather. Really quick service - you order on a kiosk and get it within minutes."

Kimberly J. "This is a beautiful high end little restaurant in Georgetown... old building, white tablecloth, and guess what kids, you get to eat with your hands! We had a reservation, so was seated right away. Full bar menu and not vegetarian (which is totally different from the Ethiopian restaurants we have at home). So we ordered the Das Combination Vegetarian Entree Sampler as our base, and added the House Salad, which was a nice combination of beets, potatoes & green beans, as well as the Beef Alicha and Lamb Tibs. Everything on the plate was delicious. I was starting to get worried that I was going to fill up on the injera, when our server reappeared with forks! (Only so we could enjoy the rest of the food!). Definitely a five star meal and experience."

Alea V. "My husband and I are always on the lookout for a good vegetarian place. This was our first time here and he got the mumbai burger and I got the caramelized tofu with pickled vegetables. Both were really good the Mumbai Burger had just the right amount of Indian spices and the tater tots it came with were nice and crispy. The burger has hot spices too, so be prepared for a little burn. Overall it's a nice "fast food" treat. The tofu was a lot of food I ended up taking half home. The pickled veges and tofu went really well together. I'd definitely get it again. We also got the hot lavender and the lavender lemonade. They were ok, I make this at home sometimes and I feel like mine is a little better so I don't think I'd get drinks again."

It took them a long time to make it but the waitress comped it. I give them a 4 because I was there alone, and it took them a good 20 minutes to come and take my order. Everyone else seemed to be attended to right away. So that was weird. Other than that I will return. The food was just so good."

As someone who has many allergies (nuts, lentils, chickpeas) the owner and waiters were on top of it. They walked me through the menu and ensured I was not allergic to any other ingredients that were added into the food. I ordered the Gobi Manchurian Dry and a surprise entree (unfortunately I never got the name...) the Gobi had the perfect spice and was not too salty or sweet. The entree had cheese blocks within it and was in a curry/tomato sauce."

The highlight for me was undoubtedly the samosas, which were delicious, and the fries, though standard, did not disappoint. The veggie Biriyani had a good flavor, but we encountered pieces of what seemed to be burned garlic, with an unpleasant texture reminiscent of tree bark, which detracted from the overall experience. The aloo palak, unfortunately, did not meet our tastes, but that's a matter of personal preference. On the plus side, Vegz offers a cozy and authentic atmosphere, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The charm of the restaurant and its authenticity are definite draws. While I have mixed feelings about our meal, the positive aspects make me open to giving Vegz another try, opting for different main dishes in the future.Didn't get pics of the entrees!"

Wendy Eli R. "OVERALL: As a non-vegan I was shocked by how delicious the food was. It tasted like the real thing! FOOD: I had the calamari, lemon ricotta pancakes, and bacon. Upstairs I got a cheesecake. The calamari was flavorful and had the right texture. The pancakes were my favorite and filling. The bacon was the only miss for me as they were too salty. And the cheesecake tasted just like regular cheesecake I was shocked. The food was so good! I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. SERVICE: the staff was super friendly and helpful. Always attentive and made the experience great. VENUE: there are two levels. The downstairs is newer and is where you have the main dining room and a bar. The upstairs has some seating and an outdoor dining area as well as the bakery with vegan cheese! The decorations were super cute and festive. Dim lighting created a great atmosphere."

From the moment we stepped in to the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm friendly smile. The service was top-notch and very helpful as they explained all the options on the menu (if this is your first time here). There are a few tables to dine-in with a pleasant ambiance. The service is quick and the food was prepared fresh. We opted for the Mexican-style quesadilla and tacos, which were both delicious! The location is south of downtown Silver Spring in a cute corner spot. It's always a good sign when you walk in and see majority Ethiopians. Service was prompt with one woman tending to all the tables and one man helping out here and there. Food was amazing. Comparing it with DC, the taste was pretty similar but much less greasy. I got the veggie platter and spicy beef tibs. All of it tasted amazing with a nod to the salad. Salad on veggie platters are always interesting, usually an afterthought, but here was quite refreshing, cutting through some of the heavier items."

Who always thinks it's tacomagarita o'clock? *Raises hand* Everything was a great combination of flavors and textures. The coconut based drink I had was tasty. The service was ok, the atmosphere was sparse, but they completely made up for it with the food. This is not a westernized version of Indian food. The menu is vast and the selection is from across India and some beyond! As usual we went a little crazy with our order, and of course I was so busy stuffing my face that I forgot to take pictures. We ordered mango lassis, idly and medhu vada appetizers, chana masala thali, kadi paneer thali and sarson sa kaag a la carte. The waitress didn't ask about heat level so I imagine we got medium on everything. Not a thing we ordered was bad. All of the adds that came with the thali were tasty, the naan was soft and the papadums were crispy. I will definitely be coming back"

There's a good amount of seating inside and outside, but most people grab and go. Service was nearly non-existent since you order everything on the kiosk (or app) and when you have a question, it's hard to flag down someone at the kitchen to ask. Not what I expected, thought it would be more of a Cava or Chipotle where you go down the line with what you want. The falafel pita was mid, but the packaging in the box was nice."

It was delicious, very fresh with large chopped veggies and ample amount of beef, almost a dinner portion than a lunch portion. It could have been a little spicier, I like it hot hot... lol. The space there was small, and this one is newly updated and spacious, with beautiful decor. It feels like a better place for a romantic or more upscale dining experience! Fancy location in an office building for business meetings, too?Anyhow, why go here? Because it's chock full of all the most delicious items of Indian fare that you crave. They have dosai, curries, street snacks like iddly and puri and chaat, uthappam, and special rice dishes. The cool part about this restaurant is that all of the food is vegetarian. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and can help you figure out the food restrictions in the menu items. I love all the food, but I always veer towards one dish in particular for my appetizer: the palak chaat. It is delightful with the crunch of the deep fried spinach and the tang of the tamarind, onions and fresh tomatoes on top. It really is a fancy version of this dish here at Woodlands. I love it!The entree I always order is the aloo gobi with beautiful pieces of spiced cauliflower and potatoes, or the vegetable jalfrezi with the wonderful spicy tomato based sauce on the veggies. Their rice is always fluffy and perfect for accompanying the rich curry dishes. The service is excellent, as they check on you regularly, and again, very knowledgeable. The food comes out very quickly, which is great for hungry bellies. There are so many dishes here, and I really need to gravitate away from my staples, but it's hard when you love some dishes to try others!Parking is easy, but the location is a little confusing near an intersection but in the ground floor of an office building."

Kimberly J. "If what you're looking for is Americanized Chinese food. That is what you will get here. Greasy, MSG filled, unauthentic Chinese fast food. This rating is NOT a reflection of the service I received here. The cashier and gentlemen in the back cooking the food were all very kind. Their fried chicken and general tsao chicken are good. This is the only reason why I gave them 2 stars. I tried their chicken and broccoli and I really wanted to like it BUT it was just TOO SALTY. It tasted like pure MSG. So I had to throw it away, and I REALLY HATE throwing away food. We also ordered their beancurd soup, in hopes that it would taste somewhat authentic. It looked like a bunch of rotten vegetables that were going to be thrown out were put into this soup. There were a few pieces of tasteless tofu in a MSG filled broth.Their fried rice was dark brown, flavorless, and dried out. They mixed it with so much SOY SAUCE, that it wasn't even appealing. Other than that, we ate all of the fried chicken and general tsao chicken. When I ordered from this place, I wasn't expecting anything to be authentic. I knew I was going to get fast food. But that's no reason for the dishes to be so dry, tasteless, and overfilled with MSG. Give this place a try. Just because I did not have a good experience here doesn't mean YOU won't like it, or your dish won't turn out better. Hopefully, it does."
