"Bakers dozen was really good.I almost missed the building.Friendly guys in window. We found a new close crab place."
"Fast, fresh and delicious.I would recommend to people that enjoy seafood.Only drawback is there is no dine-in"
"I have been going to the Market at River Falls for years. Very high-quality homemade products with fresh ingredients! You can't go wrong ...check them out!"
"Awesome oysters and professional shucking at great prices! I stopped by for some seafood over the holidays and got oysters at several of the stalls, this was the best! The covid safety precautions at the market are pretty good. They have one way to enter, one way to exit, roped lines to reduce crowding by the markets. There are black rectangles on the ground 6 feet apart for the lines. I waited a few minutes for the fresh raw oyster guy who was taking orders and shucking. He picked some good ones for me and was cutting fresh slices of lemon for each order. Out of all the stalls I went to, he was the only one that included a fork, very helpful! He put it and some napkins in the bag with the order. Due to distance from people, I had not see that no forks from the other place I got oysters or streamed shrimp. Would definitely go to this stall again! He was good picking thru the pile to get me the best oysters and rinsing them off in a fresh pail of water he had just fetched. The oysters were perfect, plump and tender, no grit, chilled, with fresh lemon. They had a self service container to get pepper, vinegar, and hot sauce. Best of the fish market for oysters!Recommended!"
"My favorite crab place!! The quality of the crabs is unmatched. The are always consistent good size and meaty!!"
"Great crabs & service. Call in what you want and it's always ready when you arrive. Crabs are always big & meaty."
"The crabs area seasoned well and the meat is sweet. Prices are really good and the fish is always hot and fresh. The down side is people hang out in front of the establishment."
"Thank You Cameron's SeafoodCameron's seafood went above and beyond to make sure my first experience with them was a good one. Scotty from Cameron's seafood called to find out what could he do to make it better. He also came up with solutions so that what happened to to me will not ever happen to anyone else. I felt like this was huge because I'm just one customer out of the thousands of customers I'm sure they have. They went out of their way to satisfy me. Thank you Cameron's for the delicious food and the great solutions. It has been a pleasure. I will be ordering again!"
"A small gem in Silver Spring, Ocean City Seafood is my go-to spot to purchase high-quality seafood at reasonable prices. The scallops are consistently tender and sweet, while the North Carolina shrimp is firm and flavorful. I've also purchased several fish (including swordfish, rockfish and snapper). The store always smells clean (never fishy) and the employees are engaging and friendly. Support this small business!"
"The service was friendly; the price was right, and the atmosphere was pleasant! My food (I ordered a fried whiting sandwich), was absolutely delicious! I will be returning soon!"
"Finally made it to the infamous Fish Depot that I've heard my co-workers talk about. I had the croaker (bone in), greens and French fries. Fish is breaded with a flour like base instead of cornmeal. It was very lightly seasoned. The fish wasn't completely spit (butterfly style). Overall...it was just ok. I guess if I have a really bad craving for fish and can't get to anywhere else this place would be sufficient.Greens were clearly from the can. No extra seasoning at all. Wasn't my style so I wouldn't order is again.French fries weren't good. Tasted a little old. No salt. Overall, I was happy to be cheerfully greeted but the food is lacking in quality. I really wanted to like this place and went with slightly high expectations only to find out that it was just so so. Maybe I'll try them again one day and when I do I will update my review."
"Well well well...let me be the 1st to say that this place is possibly the best soul food Ive had in this area! (DMV) yes..I went THAT far. Out of all of the places I have tried, this one definitely had me craving to go back the next day! The actual place might look suspect if youre not familiar with the area, but dont let that fool you. The people inside are very polite and ready to serve you. The food is awsome.org. My coworker suggested this place and said that its an old "hole in the wall". Once he said hole in the wall, I was in my car ready to roll. They pack your plates with large amounts of food where your plate would overflow with deliciousness! I definitely recommend this place if youre looking for a LEGIT soul food restaurant."

Great customer service, friendly staff. Crabs are delicious there female crabs where 29 a dozen. They had large crabs 79 a dozen. That was to expensive for my taste. We ask to see the mixed males they where 49 a dozen. The only down sidewas the mixed male crab was already cooked and was cold. This made me believe the crabs are cooked in advance then heated when you order. They don't take call in orders. I gave 4 stars because my crabs where tasty.

Not a big fan of this restaurant. I have only ordered from this place once and it was enough to let me know that I don't want to return. They were out of perch so I ordered a whiting fillet plate with fried oysters. The fish was very thin and the oysters were very small for my liking. The plate also came with coleslaw which I didn't care for and fries which were not cooked to my liking. The price of the plate was around 14-15 dollars and overall I did not like the food.

The picture doesn't really do justice. This is my go to stop for crabs! I love the garlic crab seasoning! The owners are super friendly and welcoming! If it was a sit down restaurant I would definitely sit down! Check them out and tell them I sent ya!

I drive past this place a lot and decided to order delivery from here last night. I ordered the ribs and two sides. The mac and cheese and black eyed peas were really good. I was pleasantly surprised. The ribs were just okay. I prefer my ribs a little more thick on the BBQ sauce. They were cooked well however. I also had a slice of chocolate on chocolate cake. That was pretty good as well. I would definitely order again.....probably the fish next time!

"Steamed Crabs here are always amazing. Typically get the large and they're full and heavy"
"Profish did an amazing job providing the freshest seafood in Washington DC. Outstanding all across the board. I highly recommend them for your seafood needs."
"I would highly recommend this spot if you're in DC/MD area. It was Super Bowl Sunday so naturally there was already a line as soon as it opened. It was my first time so I ordered a bushel of large crabs which were steamed right on the spot and delicious. The man who took my order was so nice and friendly. I'll have to go again to try the jumbo"
"No pretense, high quality: I've been going there for many years at this point. The market is the real draw to that combination of restaurant and supplier. In fact, I'd rather eat in the market because of the authentic experience. Just ask for "Gator." From fillets, special orders (with a few hours advance notice by phone) to cooking advice, +++ , that crew is top notch when it comes to customer service. Leave them a tip because they will take care of you."
"We're out of towners, visiting friends for a wedding. My local Lanham barber recommended this place, so my wife and I headed to Ernie's. The man behind the counter was very cordial and honest. My wife loves scallops, so she asked him if the scallops were fresh scallops, he admitted that they were frozen scallops, I was pleasantly surprised at the man's candor, anyone else would have just lie about it.I ordered the fried fish, steamed shrimp with fries combo and my wife ordered the soft shell crab. The food was plentiful for the price, a great deal, my fried fish was perfectly fried and flaky, my shrimps were huge and tender. The soft shell crab was soft and delicious.Next time we're in the Lanham, MD area we'll stop by again and try other seafood in the menu."
"Very solid mom and pop takeout when you're on the go. Call ahead available. Menu has a variety of soul / southern favorites: catfish, tilapia, swan, shrimp, fried oysters, collard greens, black eye peas, even, humble delicacies like pigs feet and chicken liver. The catfish filet dinner came with five or six light and crispy pieces, a heap of mashed potatoes and peas but and bread. Sides are of your choosing. I basically got two hearty home cooked meals for $12 and in DC, that's a steal. Owners are Korean so they offer bulgoggi, which I saw too late, but I made a mental note for next time.P.S. not SWAN but SWAI on the menu. Still I'll let it ride."
"Believe it or not I just finished the last 3 crabs from 9/7 and they are still FRESH!! Wow, I think for sure this will be my new go to spot for crabs. Unless, when I try Moe's they are allllll that!"
"Just go. Walk in the store and find not only seafood and fish delights; but, many gourmet accompanying items to make your meal most memorable."
"I've ordered for pickup (had someone else pick it up) the three times I've eaten here. Can't comment on the actual establishment but the food! Omg!Let's start. First time around I ordered the fried shrimp platter with fries. Delicious! Shrimp fried to perfection, fries nice and crispy, hot and golden. I got the dipping sauce that's orange in color, kind of taste like ketchup and Mayo mix.Second time, I got the catfish platter with Mac n cheese and collard greens. Catfish, perfect! Crunchy on the edges, moist inside. The Mac n cheese, not a big fan of it. Almost tasted like box Mac n cheese. Kinda dry, over cooked. The greens, same thing. Tasted like canned greens, lacked seasonings. Comparing both to sides I've tried from other similar establishments, they could use a little work. Third time, I got the catfish platter again, this time with Hush puppies and fries. Hush puppies were flavorful and yummy. Fries, crispy and golden. Catfish, need I say more! Yummy. Overall I'm satisfied with my platter.I would absolutely order from J's again and again, modifying which platters I try and sides. If you're looking for yummy dinner or lunch that's hot, quick and filling, this is your place!"
"New location, same Good Seafood! I've been going to this place (even in different places) since I was kid...I miss the wharf and feeling like the seafood came straight from it, just for and directly to me... but let's be real, we all knew it didn't and as an adult with a more livable Potomac river, lord knows none of us would want that level of crabs - where would we stick our toes?!?! No restaurant, bright lights and cool trays...take your food and go style - but, unless you piss off the captain (or one of his mates), they'll be real nice to you while you're inside the hull."
"If you live in Spring Valley or AU Park, this is a wonderful little market to visit. It has nice produce, meat / seafood counters, and great assortment of indulgent cakes and other pastries. Yes, you could always go to the nearby Safeway or Giant for cheaper groceries. But the friendliness of staff makes this market extra special and the ease of parking makes the trip worth it. For hot bar food and other pantry staples, you can also hop over to the deli market which is 2-3 doors down. They have great assortment of bread, bbq sandwiches, and other good yums."
"Great customer service. Friendly. Tons of great local products. Beautiful selection of fish and meat. I came for a specific reason: wagyu. I bought a Japanese A5 ribeye. Cooked it as recommended by the customer service rep. It was perfect. Compared to ordering wagyu at a restaurant this is great value. Can't wait to try more that the shop has to offer."
"It is a "produce" stand , nope it is a crab place, If you want good steamed crabs this is your place! They also have some wonderful lavender soaps and goodies and the produce is fair. They also have local meats and I got a sausage pack that was awesome!!! Give it a shot, the staff is awesome!"
"The food is superb. The service is good but there is room for improvement. The salmon and shrimp cheesesteak is fiya! OMGEEE!"
"This is a fun, delicious seafood market in the DC area! We love fresh seafood and love seeing and visiting the various fish mongers here! Believe it or not, there are tons of photo ops the way the fish are displayed! It's very organized and well laid out and everything is packed on fresh ice. We love oysters, shrimp, and fish! Last time we were here we enjoyed freshly shucked raw oysters. They sell everything from crabs, crawfish, trout, cod, flounder, whiting, red snapper (one of my favorites!), ocean perch, tuna steaks, salmon steaks, and swordfish steaks, trout, mullet, mackerel, various oysters, mussels and both bay and sea scallops (sea scallops are another huge favorite!), and more!As others have said, one side is fresh seafood, and the other side is for steaming - meaning, you purchase what you want fresh, and walk a few steps to have it steamed. Think of Publix steaming your shrimp for example, and you'll get the visual. If you like seafood, do visit Jessie Taylor Seafood!"
"So thankful this place has stayed open throughout the pandemic, it's been a real life-saver while cooking so much at home and trying to eat healthier. They usually have a beautiful selection of fresh fish filets to choose from."
"Pro: Fresh, variety selections, fast purchase services, one of the stands do offer steam service, area is very open, and they tried to keep the place as clean as they can; a beautiful area to walk around. Con: no more benches for customers to sit and eat, long line for steamed seafood service, limited parking options and not cheap."
"To be totally honest, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the fried crabs, via UberEats, because I know others that raves about them. They were small and some had the smell of ammonia. I was too scared to eat them so to the trash they went. Think I'll just stick with Quarterdeck and Casey's."
