Anyway, I will go back for the affordable ramen for lunch during the cold season my food was tasty and hearty and the vibe of the place is chill and you can tell everyone's letting their hair down."

"I wanted to pick a good place for a little celebration and I have a lot of picky eaters in my family. My son loves ramen and my wife loves a good okonomiyaki. It's not always easy to find both but this place does both fairly well. I really like the ambience in here. It's clean and modern. The service was notably great as well. I thought my Ramen was absolutely delicious, made in a shoyu base with a side of karaage. What stood out was our gyoza appetizer. The okonomiyaki also delivered and the sushi was decent as well. As for value, the portions are big and you really shouldn't leave hungry. There's a lot of good choices for food in this area and this is one of them. We did drink some warm sake, so if you do imbibe like I do, raise your glass and cheers to a dry glass."

The nice thing is that it is a little bit of a fast food sushi, so it doesn't take too long. Premium Aburi Chashu (high grade pork belly carved and rolled, marinated overnight, braised for over 7 hours, chilled, sliced, and then chargrilled to smoky, tender perfection), delightful ramen noodles that are perfectly cooked and textured, and your usual ramen accoutrements, topped with a perfectly cooked and sliced Ramen Egg (Ajitsuke Tamago). Jinya ramen really can't compare with this, in my opinion. if you get the chance to meet the owner Rock or his family members, be sure to ask them about the story of the restaurant. it's a warm combination of east meets west!"

It exceeded expectations ... the selection of drinks was pretty stellar (not much wine but tons of everything else and lots of specialty and Japanese drinks). Our server was amazing (Andria maybe?) and food and drink came quickly and it was so hot and fresh and delicious. Knocking of a star because the ambience isn't really there. It's just blah. It needs some cushions or plants or stones or just something. Would recommend for food - ramen was especially tasty! And there's a vegan option with eggless noodles."

"I came here with my family and oh my goodness it was SO GOOD. Each of us had different kinds of ramen broth, and I cannot tell you which was the best because they were all so richly complex and amazing. It was just what I needed on a cold and rainy day. The menus and decor are cute but nothing fancy. I'd definitely be a regular if I lived closer. Our waitress was really kind and attentive with our water refills.Hot tip: the boba comes from next door, so in our case that meant it arrived after we had finished our meals. I'd skip the boba just for that awkward timing alone, but it also just wasn't very good (and they were out of taro!) Not docking any stars since the boba wasn't in house, but I do wish they'd had more fun drink options or at least told us the boba was slow or delayed."

We were there during happy hour, which was a nice surprise, as well. We started with the gyoza and the age tofu, both of which were very good. You get more tofu than you see in the photo, I just barely remembered to grab a photo of them because we were hungry sorry. My friend had the chicken hibachi entree which he really enjoyed. I had a Pink Lady roll and a Shrimp Tempura roll, both of which were SO good, especially the Pink Lady roll. The happy hour price really sweetens the deal, too. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back."

I had a brief conversation with her and she highly recommend this restaurant and the meal I ordered. I came back a few days later. I sat inside (only because it pretty cool outside), at the bar and was greeted moments later. I ordered my appetizer and my meal (see above). The spring roll was delicious and got me excited with anticipation of my main dish, the noodles. Yum and yum was my reaction. It was a nice serving, that I did finish while sitting there. The flavors were dancing in my mouth to the beat of whatever tune that may have been playing at the local bar down the street. Yeah, I was satisfied.I do recommend that you visit this restaurant and try whatever items you are craving. I have a feeling you will say "yum and yum" too.P.S. - I think that visiting this restaurant, on a late comfortable summer evening, with a special friend, would make for a great date night. "Finally ate here after eating at essentially every other restaurant in this shopping center. I loved how cute the ambiance was, it felt like I was transported to another country, and it felt homey and small town vibes which I appreciated. I know they're known for ramen but ended up getting the pork katsu curry. The flavors of the curry were deep and flavorful, and the pork was breaded well with a nice tender cut of pork. I'd wanna come back for their ramen sometime. Service was good, very attentive!"

"This was our first time trying Toryumon after walking past it many times and I was pleasantly surprised! It is very nice inside with a full bar and a beautiful mural on the wall. We shared the bulgogi buns, we got a lychee martini and the Tokyo iced tea to drink, both strong but good. I got some tamago sushi, a sweet potato roll and the yummy roll, all very good, highly recommend. My boyfriend got the bulgogi entree dish, it was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. We ended the night with strawberry mochi which was just okay. The service was great, very nice and quick without rushing us. I can't wait to come back and try more things!!"

"I'm obsessed with this place and already planning when I can make another trip down so I can try more things on the menu. We went on a Friday afternoon and even though the restaurant itself is small we had no problem getting a table. The decorations/ambiance is so fun, bright and festive, even the bathrooms are decorated in bright crazy colors and decor. You can't help but smile while you are there. The food was amazing! We started with chicken potstickers which came with a peanut curry broth and Shishito peppers with bonito flakes and thick ponzu dipping sauce, both were delicious and I would absolutely order again. I had the Spider Tom Yum Ramen which was spicy and full of lemongrass flavor. The soft shell crab was perfectly fried. My friend had the Miso Ramen with jumbo shrimp which was equally delicious. The ramen was a perfect balance of broth to noodle. When you go be prepared to scan a QR code to see menu and order and pay. The process was actually very easy. I highly recommend this place!"

"Came here on a recent work trip after a very long day of travel. This place freaking rocks. I've never been to Tokyo but this made me feel as if I had been transported there. I believe I ordered the spicy Tonkotsu ramen and it was so good. A massive portion that I couldn't finish but it hit the spot with great presentation. Upstairs in the main dining room, they only serve beer and wine (and sake, I believe). However, there are some incredible cocktails at the speakeasy downstairs.Naturally I had to check it out because I'm a speakeasy nerd even though I was exhausted. It was so seriously cool. The stairwell itself was super cool and then there was a long hallway with a bunch of different doors so you weren't quite sure which was the one you were supposed to go into. I won't spoil it but the hallway is a sight to behold and once you find the bar/lounge it is covered in a fun Tokyo street art, more neon lights, and is just a really chill place. The drink menu has seasonal specials and so many amazing options. I don't remember the drink I had but it was extremely well done- it was so hard to choose. If I was in the area again, I would definitely come back here!"

I thought it needed better breading. It's as if they chopped up the chicken and fried it with no batter. Service is fast. You order on the little monitor at the table. Ambiance is BEAUTIFUL! "The hubby, my sister-in-law and I came here for lunch on 12/27/2023. This is a small restaurant and when we arrived there was no one else there. The server quickly brought over some waters and I immediately ordered a California roll. The California roll came out in record time and was enjoyable. The hubby got a green salad and it was quite delicious with a flavorful sesame dressing. The salad was simple with lettuce, cucumbers and sesame seeds, it was nice and fresh. For our entrees, I got the tonkotsu ramen with pork, the hubby got the same thing, but the spicy version and my sister-in-law also got the spicy tonkotsu ramen, but with chicken. We got our orders, however, my sister-in-law's order was wrong and had pork in it, she just rolled with it though. The tonkotsu was delicious! The broth was flavorful, but it could have had a more deep, rich, porky flavor, but it was great nonetheless. There was a lot of pork in the ramen and yummy all around. Service could have been better, the server didn't refill our empty water cups until asked despite an empty restaurant. Overall, he wasn't very attentive. Additionally, the menu says the ramen comes with bean sprouts and my sister-in-law asked for extra and the server said none of the ramen came with bean sprouts; they should update their menus. Otherwise, highly recommend!"

We placed our order and the food came out very quickly. The spicy gin Ramen was delicious and spicy and so much food I had to take more than half home. The restaurant was very clean. The ambience was nice. It was a little packed like the tables were a little bit crowded for my liking but nothing discomforting or overwhelming. I highly recommend this place."

"One unique thing about Zao is that they are one of the only ramen shops in the area that can offer you a wide array of ramen! It's really great for anyone that wants to try something different. And unlike Menya Hosaki, they have more reasonable open times. From their monthly specials calendar, I ordered their Kombusui Tsukemen, which was only being offered for two days. When the food arrived, a staff member explained the process of how to eat everything (salt dip to noodles and then broth), and then was willing to repeat it all when I asked!The whole wheat noodles were cooked to the softness of my liking. The kombu (kelp) broth and the chicken and dashi soup on their own were so good and unlike any ramen broth I've had. It's delicious with the noodles and meat mixed in. In the end, my stomach was full and I was hoping to avoid another food coma but still felt it a little this time. This special was $25 before tip, so remember it's a bit more than the regular bowls of ramen. Can't wait to come back for another special!"

Located in the Carlyle neighborhood near the US Trade and Patent Office, Gin is dishing out amazing ramen and izakaya staples like fried squid and chicken.This small, intimate space is well lit, beautifully decorated, and very cozy. Gin is usually busy, but not to the point that you've got to wait for a table or a seat at the bar. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are consistently good. In addition to some of their menu staples such as spicy miso ramen and chashu donburi, they have a small specials menu that rotates rather often. The specials typically include a donburi, a ramen, an appetizer, and two cocktails. I have yet to see any of the specials repeated, so if you see one you're interested in you should try it! I'm a big fan of their veggie ramen and subbing the egg noodles in for the kale noodles, spicy miso ramen, and gyoza."

The yakisoba has great flavors and refreshing with all the well cooked veggies. The portions were enough for the price as well. The servers were quick to come and they were attentive when we asked for extra hot sauce. It's a small restaurant with fairly open seating. We chose the booth side. It's clean and quiet, no loud music. It deserves a visit for those that like Japanese and Korean food and conveniently located at Pan Am shopping center near the Vienna metro."
