"Market Lunch at the Historic Eastern Market is a popular breakfast spot with a diner feel. I decided to give it a try based on the great reviews I had heard, and I was not disappointed.I opted for the stack of blueberry pancakes and a side of crispy bacon, and both dishes were absolutely delightful. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't sell coffee or juices, so I ordered lemonade instead and it was delicious. The ambiance of the place is crowded, which adds to the authentic diner experience. However, seating is limited, so it's best to arrive before 10 am to avoid long lines. The service at Market Lunch is quick and efficient, and I was pleased to find out that they now accept debit cards. Additionally, they offer uncooked crab cakes for purchase, priced at $13.50 each or $54.00 for a set of four. I'm already planning to try them on my next visit, along with their famous blubuck pancakes.Overall, Market Lunch is a must-visit for breakfast lovers who appreciate a bustling atmosphere and delicious food."
"My SO, his daughter, and I decided to check out Hopsfrog Grille for a late Sunday brunch. On Sundays, brunch runs until 3 pm as opposed to 12pm on Saturdays. The menu is small and concise-very no frills. When you enter, if you want bar seating (most of the establishment), seat yourself. In the dining area there are a few booths and a few tables, but it is pretty cramped. The bar began to pick up as we were leaving because HH is 12-9pm during football season. Feel free to ask for a controller to play the trivia game at your table too!Service was friendly and was quick. They do make brunch beverages-my SO loved the Bloody Mary (strong horseradish component). My SO had the Athenian omelette (3 egg, spinach, feta, onions) served with homefries and toast, his daughter had pancakes, and I had the eggs and sausage (but I substituted bacon) served with home fries and toast. The eggs were cooked sunny side up as requested, bacon was crisp, and the home fries were large chunks of handout potatoes mixed with peppers and onions-so tasty! Prices are dirt cheap for brunch and the quality of food was satisfactory. I am interested to return for dinner and see how the food compares then to brunch."

"We have been coming to Clarity since 2020, and have experienced this restaurant thru different owners and chefs. This was our first time there since the latest change-over and I have to say that Clarity is producing amazing food again. Not since Jon & Nick had Clarity been this good - but Tracy (the new chef) absolutely killed it. Food: my husband and I both shared our dishes during the course of the meal, so I was able to experience multiple options from the menu. For starters I got the scallops and mushroom soup, and hubs ordered the Caesar salad. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the homey pancetta / Brussels sprouts with it was so good. The soup was fantastic. Had crunch onion cluster on it and was a nice texture change to the soup. The Caesar salad was lovely as well. Great flavors. For dinner I opted for the halibut. That was perfect. Loved the delicate sauce and vegetable served with it. Didn't overpower the fish one bit. Lovely crust on the halibut as well. Perfection. Hubs opted for the schnitzel. I'm not a huge fan of that usually - but he insisted I'd love it. He was right. It was perfect. The breading was crispy and flavorful and the pork was tender and also had a great flavor. We were way too full for dessert - but their menu looked amazing. Drinks: Vic (bar manager) is amazing, but this time around we opted for a bottle of wine that I brought from home. But, don't sleep on any of Vic's concoctions - he's fantastic. Ambiance: we haven't been in since they redecorated. It's absolutely lovely. And the big chef table / re-done outdoor seating is fantastic. Service: wonderful as it always has been. Very happy with Josephina. She was attentive without being overbearing. If you haven't been to Clarity in a while, take this as a sign to go. Tracy's food is stellar. We will 100% be back and recommending this place once again to friends and family."
"This place may be kind of tricky to find at first, but if you can find the Marriott hotel right outside of Fair Oaks mall you'll be able to find 703 bar + kitchen. (It's inside the hotel)My girlfriend, parents, and I had dinner here one night. Our waiter Dominique (according to the receipt) was very helpful and pretty friendly. He was able to answer every question we had about the food there. We were there just in time for happy hour, so we ended up ordering a lot of food. Good thing too, because the portion sizes are fairly small. Let's start off with the chicken wings. For $9 you get 3 pieces. Although the chicken was fantastic, the $3/1 wasn't too appealing. The chicken was coated in a sauce I can't quite remember, but I do remember it giving the chicken a great taste. The tator tots were so delicious that we ended up getting three orders of them! Again, the portion was a bit small, but the fact they were half off for happy hour made it enjoyable. For my main course, I ordered the country fried steak. While I was expecting a big slab of fried steak like what you would find at an IHOP or elsewhere, this place served what would've been a 1/3 or so of that. But, looks can be deceiving. Despite it being 1/3 the size I was expecting, it was a 9/10 in taste. It definitely tasted better than the bigger steaks! I think what made it so delicious was that the steak was drenched in the gravy. Also, the meat was of a higher grade than most country fried steaks. For dessert, we had a bread puddling and a brownie with vanilla ice cream. Both were fantastic and definitely good enough to quench a sugar craving. Overall, despite the portions being fairly small, I would definitely try this place again. Their happy hour specials were great, and the food was way better than expected!"
"This is a lovely mom-and-pop deli located inside the Boeing building. There's a small sign to direct you within the lobby, as it's tucked away past the elevators on the first floor. They have a salad bar (which is great), lots of traditional deli fare (subs/wraps/etc), a cooler with lots of soft drinks and teas, and a whole shelf of chips to choose from. I was already sold by their assortment of chips but the tuna salad wrap was delicious! There really is nothing like eating food prepared by a family-owned establishment. They are so warm and friendly when you walk in. Please come out and try them! Their hours are limited but if you're in the area, they are worth a stop."
"Finally dined here and had a great time! I've had this place bookmarked since first visiting Hip Flask (the rooftop) some months ago. I'm so glad I visited and I can't wait to come back. Service by Griffin was amazing!!! Hands down, one of the best servers I've come across in a long time...maybe ever if I'm being honest. He was easy to chat with and so helpful. I would come back here and personally request him. That's how great he was. This 5 star review is mostly attributed to him. The food was good. I had the cornish hen for my meal, but I especially enjoyed the chimichurri sauce. I even asked for extra on the side. Sooooo good! My date had the flat iron steak cooked medium well and he enjoyed it. I like my steaks cooked medium. On my next visit, I'm getting the bone-in ribeye! I had the "Columbia Crest" red wine and it was a generous pour. I've had this wine before and I loved it. Glad it's on the menu. They also offer wine by the bottle. For dessert, we shared the banana bread pudding - it was good, but nothing I'd be pressed to try again. Overall, just a great vibe in here. On a warm October evening, there were patrons sitting outside! Parking wasn't hard. Street parking as well as a garage directly across from the hotel/restaurant. This isn't a cheap date type of place but totally worth it just for the ambiance. Thank you Seventh State for a great evening."
"First off, our server was excellent. Super responsive, nice amount of touches to the table, and very polite and attentive. The atmosphere was also really nice. It's a really nicely designed restaurant. The rating is more so about the food. I thought the food was very OK. We got two of the crostinis to start with. The one with like a mushroom foie and pickled red onion, and the balsamic tomatoes and burrata one. They were both good but neither really blew my socks off. The chicken sandwich I got... the chicken was definitely overcooked. The salad that came on the side was nice. It was just some greens that were dressed, but I appreciated the seasoning in the dressing. I just think that for the service, the ambiance, and the prices that I was expecting a bit more at the end of the day. I will say that my friend's steak frites looked quite good. The steak looked like it was near perfectly cooked. I don't really eat steak anymore or I would have asked to try it. And my other friend got the French onion soup which also looked quite good. Did I just order wrong? I'm not quite sure. I just felt like the food was very middle of the road for me."
"This was such a delicious and cute brunch spot! I got the chicken and waffles and the hibiscus mimosa, and it was such a great value for price and absolutely delicious! They also have a rooftop bar for evenings, and it's a great placeTo hang out and grab an aesthetic drink!"
"The food and service were outstanding! We travel to Washington, D.C., annually for work and absolutely love it. This was our first time dining here, and it's now a must-visit for us moving forward. The restaurant has that perfect divey atmosphere with a great vibe, and our waitress was fantastic. We would definitely come again and try new items!"
"Really enjoyed the brunch. The host waspleasant and seated us promptly. Although it's a small place, you don't get a crowded feeling. The food was really good. The beignets had good flavor (not doughy or oily) and were surprisingly small, more like bites. The American breakfast, quiche, and burger were all throughly enjoyed. I would recommend for sure. The experience was reduced my one star because of our server. -- wasn't attentive and had to be flagged for almost everything we wanted. Never mentioned a name. We asked for fries without seasoning or salt, and she said "they are not seasoned." You know we received fries with salt, right? Never asked how our food was and things of that nature."
"I have been craving lemon pepper wings for a week or so. I finally caved and made my way to get some. I ordered 20 wings, 10 lemon pepper all flats for me and 10 honey old bay all rounds/drums for my friend. They came out within 10 minutes, tasted fresh and were hot. The lemon pepper were a bit salty and my friend said the honey old bay could've been more wet. Overall, they were good. I would come here again."
"As soon as I walked in the first thing i noticed was how nice the place was. The hostess was really nice and very accommodating as I was the first person in my party to arrive. I was able to sit at the bar and have a couple of mimosas while I waited. The guava mimosa was just ok and the mango was pretty decent. The brunch is $60 to include unlimited mimosas, unlimited mains and starters on the menu, and the omelet and waffle station. That's a pretty great deal. I tried the fish taco(salmon). Nothing special but others loved it. The Brussel sprouts were good, the Mac n cheese was blah. My omelet was really good and I topped It with the lamb that came with the benedict. The DJ was definitely cranking out some bangers which made the brunch even more appealing. Outside of the waiter overcharging us when we split the bill, everything went well and I will be back."

I'll give this review as a New Yorker now residing in DC and an avid food lover. First, this place is a gem and I can see why some Yelpers expressed the joy felt when visiting not only Market Lunch but Eastern Market. It reminded me of the old Downtown Brooklyn in NYC, before unidentifiable changes. This place promotes small businesses, most of who offer authentic pastries, meat selections, spices, and even homemade pasta. If you haven't visited Eastern Market then you're missing out on a small yet beautiful place. That said, please don't come here expecting immediate access to seating nor look for anything other than lemonade, sweet tea, and sodas to drink. They offered coffee but I passed on purchasing because the creamer stood outside on the counter and could have been placed in a small refrigerated area. Also, going back to my New York roots, this place reminded me of a deli, bodega, corner store, small shop where I ordered some of the best sandwiches and breakfast specials...if you know, you know *Jlo voice LOL* Anyway, back to being serious. Don't come here expecting seating and fancy fixing, it's a deli styled setup where you order with the cashier and wait for your number to be called. While waiting, I highly advise you to look for seating and if you find it, grab it! Or else you'll be standing for a long time. Service: it's fast paced so don't expect to take your time. Immediately look at the menu beforehand and know that the cashier is going to be moving quickly. Also, they do accept cards and cash so either will do. Beverages: nothing much to choose from but what we did enjoy was their tart and delicious lemonade. If they bottled this, I would purchase it! No questions asked. It was such a delicious, sweet, and tarty party! lol Food: I ordered the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. Now, the blueberries were missing, I actually counted 6, but my boyfriend had way more in his pancakes and noticed that they all stood in the center of the pancake and were not evenly distributed. Aside from that disproportioned blueberries, this pancake won on buttery flavor and lightness. Paired with a side of crispy bacon (3 to be exact) my boyfriend meanwhile had 6 on his plate...not sure how they divided things when you're paying the SAME price?! But, I was pleasantly impressed with my pancakes and bacon and would definitely stop by again. Price: total for 2 orders of blueberry pancake (2 each) 2 orders of bacon (one order with 3 and the other with 6 strips) 2 orders of lemonade-total $36...not bad considering that this might be the price for breakfast for one at some locations. Advice: if you plan on enjoying the breakfast there, please arrive before 10am. We were there before 10 am and after a small wait, we finally got our hands on seating. Then, by 10:10am, the crowd started rushing in and the line began growing. I noticed people struggling to find seating (cafeteria style-long counter) resulting in them taking their orders to go. Would I return? Absolutely! I'd return before 10am and probably take my order to go. Would I order the pancakes again? I would probably try the buckwheat blueberry's next time or simply stick with plain because the low provision of blueberries didn't make me feel as if I was eating a blueberry pancake. Overall, support small businesses and support community favorites, I surely will!

It's location in a shopping center hides a small recent with a decent menu and bar. The place seems to be a good spot for a regular local crowd interested in watching sports on the multiple TVs. I had a Greek salad which was ample and good.

Came for NYE and sat at the chef's counter. We loved the complimentary chestnut soup, the bread and olive oil and exemplary service by all staff. My French onion soup was very good and my husband enjoyed his caesar salad. The schnitzel was exceptional, though I would've liked more spaetzels and fewer beans on top. Husband's waygu beef was good, but perhaps not worth the $82. The entire evening was really fun and we loved watching the kitchen staff work, it was very calm! I'd definitely come back and try more things, for a special occasion.

This place is interesting because I have never really seen this place pop up in my searches until now. Some good things are that with our check in on yelp, we received a 20% discount on our food. That's a win in itself. It's located on the first floor of the Marriot hotel right by Fair Oaks mall. The food was surprisingly good here. They serve small plates as shown in the pictures I've included. But the big ticket item is the burger! If you like 5 Guys style burgers, this is very similar but better in my opinion. Plus it comes with fries that are also really good.If you're looking for a different spot to check out, don't forget about some of the restaurants and bars that are hidden in nearby hotels. But before you check out any of those, stop by 703 first. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing little place with great food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. I much prefer this place to Jason's deli, though you don't get the free soft serve. A previous review said it was tucked inside a luxury apartment building. If they're talking about the Julian apartments, it's actually the building to the left of it. Go give it a try. I highly recommend.

I really thought about keeping this one to myself, but since I love y'all... Imma put you on.This is one of my favorites spots to grab a bite al fresco, enjoy a drink, and just relax.First thing I enjoy is that there's a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. There are even fire pits for those nights where it gets a bit chilly.Second, there's a fantastic selection of wines and spirits and my favorite server, Alijah, always has great recommendations for me. No matter how long it's been since my last visit, he always seems to remember what I like and makes fantastic recommendations from there... And the guy never misses! Third, as I alluded to, the service. Customer service seems to be practically non-existent these days, but fortunately I'm always greeted warmly and made to feel welcome whenever I visit here. The servers are attentive and respectful, being mindful not to interrupt an ongoing conversation. They clear dishes promptly. Drinks are frequently refilled without having to request it. But more than anything, I appreciate how the staff just allows you to relax and enjoy the experience. I've never felt rushed to hurry up and pay or otherwise vacate my seat (besides, I usually stay until closing time)... And in the down times, the staff will even come by and chat with me and some of the other guests. It's a very welcoming and personable environment and I appreciate that. Fourth, the FOOD! Seriously, I don't think I've had a bad thing on the menu. However my absolute favorite, believe it or not, is their burger. I know... Super simple and everybody knows how to make a burger, right? WRONG!! This burger was so good that I had them drag the chef out of the kitchen so I could tell him to his face how amazing this freaking burger was. Imagine my surprise when they bring out this young man who I believe recently graduated from high school and told me that he was the guy preparing my food. If he can do something incredible with just a simple, humble hamburger... Man, that kid is going to be a star in the culinary industry! I hope this restaurant realizes what they have in him and nurtures that gift. But no meal is complete without dessert and this place serves the best Smith Island Cake I have ever had in my entire life. If you didn't know, Smith Island Cake is the official cake of the state of Maryland and there is absolutely no better place to get it than here. It's nothing short of delectable. Absolutely one of the most perfect desserts ever created. I was indifferent to Smith Island Cake until I had it here. Now I'm absolutely obsessed!(Seventh State, please do me a favor and never stop selling this cake. It would break my heart in ways you can't even imagine.)Great food, great staff, great atmosphere... These are the things that keep me coming back. Oh, and the cake.Never change Seventh State... Never change.

I really, really wanted to like this restaurant. And, I know we may have ordered the wrong food item, but I would only give Charley Prime Food a 3 1/2 stars. Why, you may ask? We ordered the slow roasted lamb with the melted Swiss cheese and au jus for dipping. It was served on a large Italian bread- hoagie style. The issue was that there was very little lamb, you would need a microscope to find it. And, unfortunately, what was there was fatty and grisly. When, you are paying $23 for a sandwich you want a good amount of delicious lamb. The French fries were great. They were hot, crispy, and tasty. We ordered the Parker rolls as an appetizer and they were light, pillowy and tasty. I especially liked the herbed butter that was served with the rolls. It was a perfect foil to the fresh rolls. If this review was on dessert it would be a 5 stars. The bread pudding was amazing. The ice cream, the fruit, the sauce, and the bread pudding itself was like a symphony with each instrument adding to a superb finale. It is a small but artfully decorated restaurant. I think the bar area is beautiful. I think some of the art pieces are a bit questionable. But, you can see that for yourself in the pictures. I faced Charlie Prime's shirtless fishing picture for most of our dinner. : D Our server was good. He gave us plenty of time to talk and to enjoy our dessert.

Their Sunday brunch is good for groups as we had we had a party of 9 and were able to get a reservation the day prior by calling. When we arrived I was surprised the restaurant was so large and there weren't a lot of other patrons there. We were seated on the 2nd level and it was a bit humid/hot up there likely because we were near the door to their patio seating. We were seated for 10-15 mins before my boyfriend went to inquire about our server. We received complimentary parfaits while we waited for our food to arrive so I thought that was nice. The brunch menu didn't have a large selection of food items and we did make some substitutions to things ordered. I had the short rib hash; the short rib was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. The "hash" was actually shredded hashbrowns plated with the short rib. So I ordered a side of home fries with my dish. I also ordered a plain toasted croissant and made a pretty good sandwich with my short rib. My boyfriend had the grilled chicken sandwich and at first the server stated he couldn't make the breast a fried chicken breast. But I asked if it could just be the fried chicken that is served with the chicken and waffles and they were able to make the substitution and the sandwich was pretty good. Great deal on the mimosa carafes at $20 per person we each ordered one. The mimosas were more champagne which we liked and we ended ordering additional carafes because we ended up staying well past brunch ended. We split everything 9 ways and paid ~$58 per person, so definitely a good value. I do think if I were to dine here again I would go with a smaller group so I could be seated on the first floor and I would try to go for lunch or dinner to explore a different menu.

"This was my first experience here at Barcode. I did not know but there is a $10 cover charge just to enter the building to have brunch which was $48 and the $10 did not go toward your meal. With brunch you get 2 mimosas or 2 sangrias. I chose the sangria option which tasted like juice. There is an option to buy wine by the glass. No cocktails were available on the menu but there was a bar. The food was good, I had the shrimp and grits. They also had a waffle and pasta station which came with brunch. I was able to choose ingredients to put in my pasta (chicken and spinach was my choice) and the waffle had powdered sugar and some chocolate or caramel syrup as toppings options. The place was nice, clean, and the ambiance was good. Music is pretty loud so don't count on having conversation without screaming. All in all brunch was a good vibe."
"Revolution is the place to go for darts or pool around Alexandria. They have like ten dartboards and a bunch of pool tables. They make good fries and the beer selection isn't bad. The servers were really attentive. They do allow smoking."
"I HAD A BALL! I haven't been out in a "Club" setting for quite a few year (I'm embarrased to say) and i wasn't sure how it would make me feel. But it was nice, there was enough room for people to dance, talk, drink and even stand against the wall without getting bumped into. There are two levels and both of them had a different vibe. The drink are priced the way club drinks are priced, and they weren't as strong as I thought they would be. Even though I asked for a Patron Magarita I KNOW they added some rail Tequilla because I had a headache the next day. But its whatever, I enjoyed it when I was there!"
"Absolutely loved Bar Bullfrog! My friends have raved about it for a while now and I just moved over into the neighborhood so I had to try it out for myself. It's small and cozy and the bar is perfect for a low key meal. It wasn't very crowded once a birthday party wrapped up, but that was more than fine by me. The bartender was very friendly, the food tasty, and they have wine on tap! My favorites were the butternut squash ravioli and the bagel dogs - yum. Can't wait to go back again and again!"
"Let's talk Härth at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. I saw their ad in this group for a three course meal for $49 per person. We went to the restaurant and were welcomed by Rachel, the food and beverage director. We were the first customers tonight and it turns out they have only recently opened for dinner with a new French chef, Laurent Hollaender. We ended up not ordering from the prix fixe menu, even though it's a great deal with the filet mignon itself being $49. It will be there through July. We shared the excellent calamari and I saw tarte flambee Alsacienne on the menu but the waiter didn't know much about it.I wanted to know if it was anything like the Flammkuche or Tarte Flambee we know from southwestern Germany and the Elzas.Chef Laurent himself came to our table and he actually grew up in the Elzas (it's where my husband's family comes from). He personally vowed the tarte flambee is authentic and it is! I can't tell you how excited we are! We have not *ever* found a true Flammkuche in the US! The charcuterie plate is all locally sourced cheese and meats and Laurent is clearly excited about everything here.To end our meal Laurent and Rachel sent a plate of scallops and they're amazing! The carrot puree and capers, pine nuts and other ingredients we didn't recognize are the perfect companions.Other things that we learned is that their honey is very local. They get it from the bee hives on the roof of the hotel.Besides that they have their own hydroponic herbs. We love the sustainable cooking, Chef Laurent, and all we ate. Go check out Härth!"
"Great parking, great service, great food, and great music! I've heard about Highlands and I'm so happy that I've finally given it a try. We went for dinner and drinks and both were delicious. Can't wait to try them for breakfast."
"I got street parking luckily, right around the corner. The staff was great. I got the rose, it was ok...but the place was really cute. A Saturday, around 6pm and empty. I did not try any food but the table i was at did and it all looked good. I had to be in and out though so only got the rose."
"OK, so this place is not much to look at from the outside. It is located in a very dated shopping center next to a Latino grocery store. The interior is pretty barren too, with minimal décor and functionary seating. My co-workers often show up with take-out from here, and when I saw their quesadillas, I knew I must get one for myself. They didn't even know the name of the place, only that it said 'Chicken and Ribs' above the door. They have no take-out menu or website. So I ventured here one day after school.I was not disappointed! Their shrimp quesadilla ($10.95) is delicious! It is super cheesy and is filled with chunks of shrimp. I ate 3/4, and I was full. They serve it with plenty of salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. It was well worth the price, which isn't cheap compared to all the taquerias in a two mile radius of this place.I think this place must have an active nightlife scene. I was there at 3pm and there were already two men drinking at the bar! It looks life it serve as a nightclub on the weekends since they are open late into the night.I finally found a place near my school that is worth visiting time and time again, although it will be mainly for take-out."
"Very nice restraunt style accommodations inside the Holiday Inn Carlyle. Our server on several days was Mohammed. He is very friendly and accommodating. He went above and beyond to give us fast friendly service, even on the busiest of days. I highly recommend you have him serve you for your delicious meal."
"Omg the food here is amazing! You must try this place! We will be regulars! The jerk chicken is absolutely amazing! The service is wonderful! Love it!"
"Iron Gate is an amazing restaurant for work lunches and dinners. I have been here so many times, all for work or work-adjacent dinners and lunches and everything is always great. The menu is always rotating but there are a few items that are almost always available. The service is very good and the servers are very knowledgeable and efficient. I love the back area with the fireplace. It's so cozy. For special events, they have a back table that's covered with a tent that can be enclosed. It's very quiet and private, and is very comfortable for larger groups."
"A great quick lunch in a convenient location in DC. Parking was fairly simple as it wasn't a game day so we snagged a spot by the stadium. The restaurant is beautiful and the bar is large. There's also patio seating. I had a delicious chicken sandwich with fries and my friend had a salad. It was huge! My sandwich had the most delicious dill pickle aioli on it and the chicken was tender and crispy. Yum! Our waiter was attentive and quick. We were in and out! Great dining option when in the area."
"An excellent alternative for Sunday lunch. Nice surprise......We avoid buffets but still enjoy a nice mid-day meal on Sunday. Glenwood's in Rockville, MD hit the spot. Not too crowded, and a mostly adult clientele dressed, and a modern clean yet fancy environment was perfect. Also - I'd come here for a business meal and feel totally confident the experience would be top-notch.Free parking, excellent restrooms (off the elevator lobby), open airy dining room and bar with LOTs of natural light windows, and outdoor dining featuring awnings, lights and heat! The menu was not long yet it offered many expectations for a modern American restaurant. NOTE: There is sushi bar too. also - there were special offerings in both main dishes and desserts. Ask!Lunch of one shared appetizer (crunchy shrimp sesame roll), two main dishes, side of spinach, and two glasses of sparkling water totaled about $80 before tip, yet we took home more than enough for another meal - See photos!Full rack of ribs - excellent if you like wet fall of the bone style. Cole slaw was crunchy, and tabouleh salad was an interesting no-cost-to-substitute light alternative to French fries. Is this the best BBQ in the world? No - that designation is not possible given people's different definition of "best" yet it will likely satisfy most. Prime rib med rare was super tender. Mashed potatoes were obviously peppered and hot. Side spinach was surprisingly excellent - NOT overcooked and hot. Servings were typical American huge. Not drinkers, yet the bar seemed impressive as was the wine list. Service was professional and polite. I especially appreciate servers who are well groomed and who wear spotless uniforms. Yes!Booth benches were well padded and clean.Special: The Chihuly glass sculpture in the lobby was lovely. It's worth a few minutes of appreciation from different angles.Bottom Line: A safe business/meeting place that is also welcoming of casual adult diners. Families are likely welcome, but we did not see any."
"Such a wonderful neighborhood asset!!!!!!!!! Awesome burger. Great blue cheese. Outdoor bar is cozy with ambient music and lighting. Great service. And awesomeness blue cheese dressing ?!???"
"I have visited this location two times: a Saturday evening and Saturday morning. The ambiance was quite different during both visits. Saturday evening, it was packed and they have great lighting to set the mood. Saturday morning, it wasn't busy at all, maybe 4 parties were there in the 4 hours we dined. Their menu constantly changes, I believe it is a weekly basis. Service is exceptional at the restaurant. My second visit was with Hailey, who was very attentive and friendly. For the Saturday evening visit, I ordered the the Lamb shoulder Roulade with the Barrel Aged O.G., both were just AMAZING. We ordered a Charcuterie and cheese board to share as well. For the Saturday menu, they offered two options: a Prix Fixe menu and the regular menu. We chose the Prix Fixe option, which included the following for $36/person: a tray of assorted baked goods, yogurt & fruit, home fries and one entree (we chose the Hanger Steak & Eggs). This was just phenomenal food for this price! The chef prepared my steak exactly as requested, well done. The only one thing I didn't care for was the amount of salt on everything, I would order my food to either be unsalted or lightly salted next time. The restaurant is located across from the library, at the corner of the shopping mall. There are some parking spots in the front...for those who know how to parallel park! Otherwise, there is a parking garage around the corner."
"Enjoyed a NFL gameday Sunday afternoon here. It wasn't crowded at all which I thought was odd for a large sports bar. I was accompanied by a group of friends and they all described delicious dishes. I ordered the Miami Mojito, chicken wings and crab quesadilla. Even though the chicken wings were sauced they had a nice slight crisp on the exterior and were tender on the inside. The quesadilla was incredibly soft and flavorful. The crab meat really made the difference. All were really good! So good I ordered the quesadilla and their hottest chicken wings to-go. I'll give them another try soon to verify their consistency. I was shocked not many people were dining here on this day, on a football Sunday. Overall a good experience."
"The restaurant was really dark and a little bit dated (in my opinion) I can see it being a night spot but we were here for lunch. This particular day there wasn't much wait staff so it was a little slow but I wouldn't blame that on them as there was quite a few tables. I had the tuna nachos and the birria egg rolls with consommé.. both were really delicious but the gnocchi was a no go for me."
"Tagging on some pics to Lissa G's review. We had a great time at Rose's Luxury. Not stuffy for Michelin star spot. Loved that!Initiative, fun, tasty dishes. Love the vibe and the service too."
"I had a wonderful brunch here with a friend. We made reservations for a Saturday around noon, though there were a lot of open tables for walk-ins. The restaurant is more spacious than expected, with a charming upstairs and cute patio area. We opted for the Chef's Choice menu.Heirloom Tomato Salad - I'm not usually a big fan of tomatoes and didn't love the cherry tomatoes in this dish, but the heirloom tomatoes were excellent. The sumac-pickled red onions added a nice acidity, while the rice crisp brought a nice texture. The smoked tofu added a subtle smokiness that tied the dish together. (4/5)Yukon Gold Hash Browns + Smoked Salmon - This was a delicious and well-balanced dish. The smoked salmon tasted fresh, and the pickled shallots brought a bright acidity. The herbed cream cheese complimented the salmon, while the hash browns and pistachio dukkah provided a nice textural balance to the other components of the dish. (5/5)Braised Short Rib Eggs Benedict - The poached eggs were perfect, and the short rib was rich and flavorful. This was a well-executed take on eggs benedict. (4/5)Lemon + Thyme Rosted Pennsylvania Chicken - The chicken was roasted to perfection, tender and juicy, with the lemon providing a nice acidity that brightened the dish. This hearty brunch option is perfect if you're still recovering from the night before. (5/5)"
"Large restaurant attached to the lobby of the Georgetown Inn. Nice decor with pictures of female recording artists decorating the walls. Large but noisy space. Service was excellent and very understanding of the needs of small kids. The food (and cocktails) were excellent. Highly recommend the parmesan risotto balls. They were a hit with the adults and the kids. The pot pie was hearty and delicious. The filet of Branzino was also delightful."
"My last review for 2024! I was here with a group for dinner this past weekend, and I'm glad to finally have an excuse to come here. Chef Geoff's is in a great location, and the main dining area is spacious and attractive. They have an excellent zero proof cocktail menu, and the Cranberry Bliss Mule was bright, not overly sweet, very tasty. I only had the drink because I had other dinner plans later, but everyone else seemed happy with their orders, and a few people got dessert too. I really like the bar and would want to make my next visit focused there. The happy hour menu is extensive and available every day of the week, which is amazing for DC. Sadly the food on that menu is not vegetarian friendly, but maybe I could do an appetizer from the main menu. The service was really the highlight of the visit for me. The host and hostess were courteous and welcoming, and the server for our table was friendly and very accommodating to our group. Chef Geoff's was a great experience for a final weekend outing for the year."
"**Yelp Review for The Liberty Tavern** ---*Reviewed by someone who knows a thing or two about **"portals to greatness"** (and maybe founded one or two):*Walking into **The Liberty Tavern** isn't just a meal--it's an experience, a delightful descent into culinary nirvana where food, service, and presentation all align in perfect harmony. If you're not here for the liberty of *taste-bud emancipation*, you're in the wrong tavern, my friend.Let's start with the **food**--oh, the *fabulous* food. This isn't just "tavern fare"; this is **"culinary wizardry wrapped in a gastropub disguise."** The dishes come out looking like they're auditioning for a Michelin-starred fashion show--plated with so much flair and finesse you almost feel guilty digging in. Almost. Because the moment you do, it's a symphony of flavors. Each bite had me wondering if the chef moonlights as a sorcerer. The **presentation**? Picture a Broadway opening night, but for entrees. Plates arrive with such precision and flair you half expect them to come with a standing ovation. The attention to detail is immaculate--somewhere between *art gallery chic* and *foodie fever dream*. I had to pause for a moment just to admire it (and to snap a picture for the 'gram because, well, priorities). And the **service**? If there were a portal to a universe where everyone was courteous, charming, and clairvoyant, The Liberty Tavern staff have found it. Our server was part hospitality hero, part mind-reader, anticipating our needs with the grace of a diplomat and the speed of a caffeinated ninja. It's rare to feel so well taken care of and still laugh along with the witty banter. They've truly mastered the art of making you feel like **a VIP with a side of charm.**By the end, I wasn't sure if I'd just finished dinner or completed a masterclass in **"How to Win at Dining Out."** So if you're looking for an experience where **epic service, fabulous food, and show-stopping presentation** converge, The Liberty Tavern isn't just a recommendation; it's a **mandatory pilgrimage**.Bring your appetite. Bring your humor. And, heck, maybe bring a portal of your own--because once you step in, you'll never want to leave."
"Station 4 has been on my list for awhile & has garnered a big buzz recently. This restaurant is not new on the DC scene but when influencers start raving about it on TikTok, people come to check out the hype. We had a 1:45 rezzie for Saturday Brunch. It was giving festive vibes. I saw a table of ladies dressed in their holiday one piece pjs having the time of their lives & others folks on dates. We were immediately seated & our server Jeff greeted us. I didn't see kids offerings although my 5 year old nephew was dining with us. I ordered the challah French toast (no powdered sugar), eggs over med with cheddar. Didn't realize my eggs came with home fries & toast. It was a lot of food! I also ordered a mango mojito mocktail. Nephew also wanted French toast, eggs, bacon then poured syrup over everything!!! Sis ordered the breakfast burger with fries & bottomless mimosas. The food was seasoned well and service was on point! I enjoyed my first visit!Come here for the vibes. However, don't expect to have deep conversations during brunch. It's loud!! I couldn't hear the people sitting at my table."
