"I just feel so lucky and blessed to have a real, authentic, honest-to-goodness Uzbek restaurant nearby! I love going there & I love ordering delivery from there, too .... If you go it's so very neat & cool because they have partitions made of hanging fabrics & not the kind of fabrics you'd normally see in this area but that are of course thankfully evocative of the place where they & the food are both from. It's very unusual for people or places such as restaurants to present things in such a way -- normally, there might be some kind of evocation of the place of origin of the food in the form of, say, art on the walls but nothing so all-encompassing as what is offered here! It's very different. Uzbekistan is literally in the air here in the form of scents of food wafting from the kitchen ....I enjoy so many of the foods here! This is a lot to say considering the vegetarianness of my food-ordering & eating habits, & I can let you know with full confidence that if you only order vegetarian food here (or from here!), you will not go hungry. The potato manti (dumplings) alone can fill you up. The punch is very tasty & an incredibly good deal, too! When I have this at home, I drink the liquid & there is some wonderful fruit concoction left over in the bottom that I spoon into wine glasses & eat as a dessert -- but don't worry, they have desserts, too! The mushroom soup might be the best thing I've had from here -- I don't know if that sounds exciting to you, but I love soup! This is a really great one. Mmm .... It's super-hearty, extremely tasty, & ... it's got a good amount of something succulent such as oil that I'm afraid to mention given today's current climate of fear around fats but that's what you need on a cold winter day, in my opinion! It's deeply nourishing physically & emotionally & tastes great, too! It's everything you could want or need in a soup! Second-best in my opinion is the Kachipuri. It's nice & salty and I find that ve-ry appealing; it reminds me of the burekas I grew up making with my mom, & I like that it brings back such wonderful memories plus tasting superb, as well. Oh, & it's flaky & crispy & all those other things you'd want in a pastry, too -- baked to perfection & all of that, yummy! The green onion Kutabi wasn't exactly my favourite thing ever but at the same time, I did appreciate the nutrition I was getting from it & of course I must try it with some of the other fillings next time! One thing I know is there will be a next time, & a next time, & a next time ... because I just love this part of the world (central Asia) -- speaking of which, the name of this place is so perfect! Some places that people might consider remote & think of as 'backwards' or 'inaccessible' have actually long been connectors of places and therefore, also very connected themselves, & the name of the restaurant, the décor, & the food all speak to and show this to be true! Of course, if you go in person & talk to, say, your server, then the person with whom you speak will show this, too -- I mean, this is true, whether or not you see it! I always like to talk to people so for me, this is especially true! The mashed potatoes are nice -- maybe a little lumpy -- but ... not too special, in my view. I mean, I think they were very special when they were first made way back when! I just expected a little more flavour in them since I read that they were perfectly spiced but I didn't really experience them as being spiced at all -- but that can be good when you want something to just add to something else; I did add a bit of the mashed potatoes to my second bowl of soup, & it was a good combination! (I'm trying not to repeat 'Mmm' all the time -- but it really fits!) The Medovik cake was good but ... the truth is, I'm not a big fan of cake for the most part, so I'm probably not the best judge of this. I do believe I need to try -- & report on! -- some of their other desserts .... In case you can't tell, I ordered an awful (well, actually wonderful!) amount of food for one meal & this did last two people at least two if not three meals -- plus fruity snacks and beverages! I really wanted to get some other things, too, such as salads but I could see it would all be way too much & so I got things that I thought would last a bit -- and yes, they did! I mean to say that a salad should be eaten sooner than, say, a soup because it could wilt and go bad & all that, and I didn't want that happening so I had to resign myself to trying some things such as various salads later .... I can't wait for the time I get to do that! This is more than just food. Of course, sure, every food must have some kind of tradition behind it, some kind of history -- even if it was just invented & made for the first time ever! -- but this food, when I say it has tradition, I mean it has a deeply meaningful feeling for me that nourishes not only my body but my soul .... It's the best!"
"This place in my opinion is a hidden gem. I got introduced to it by my sisters last year and have gone back at least once every month. That spicy chicken Kati roll has me in a choke hold. The perfect amount if spicyness and flavor in every bite. The pictures do not do it justice but two of these rolls will get you filled. It is a ghost kitchen so you have to order online and go and pick it up to eat at home or elsewhere. Service is always on point when I go. Would highly recommend if you ever want a little Indian & Pakistani flavors with Mexican."

"The kabob by which all other kabobs are measured. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before. It is one of my favorite local haunts. All the kabobs and the naan are made fresh to order. Some of the sides are from a hot tray but that is because of the volume needed. Service is nice and humble. A great family owns this restaurant and they take pride in their restaurant. The atmosphere is simple but the warms of the owners fill the restaurant. Try the soup. It is awesome. And not on the menu."
"I came to Food Corner Kabob House on a Saturday afternoon. I had heard great things about this spot from a friend so I was excited to try. This restaurant shares a huge parking lot with multiple retailers so parking should not be an issue. My husband and I each ordered Boneless Chicken Kabob with Rice, Bread and Fried Spinach. The chicken was so juicy and full of flavor, bread came out steaming hot and fresh and the fried spinach was better than I thought it would be. I can see why my friend liked this spot so much. It took about 10 minutes after we put in our order for the food to come out, so be patient if it is a long wait... it is worth it! Luckily it was not super packed so we only had two customers waiting ahead of us. Overall the staff were friendly and polite and the food came out freshly made and secure in a takeout bag. I will definitely be back here soon :)"
"4.5: Great tasting food, good service and ambiance in a cute shopping complexCame here on a Monday afternoon and it was empty. The menu isn't big but if you are open to kebabs, hummus, pita type things you'll be fine. The lunch special chicken Shwarma dish was delicious! Chicken tender, fragrant rice, nice salad, hummus, chips. Best thing was you didn't feel gross afterward. The seating surrounds a bar area and there's also outdoor seating if you prefer.I'd love to return when it's a little more bustling. There are quite a few good food places in this area including True Food and I think most people would find something they'd like!"
"My wife ordered via food delivery service which offered a nice BOGO free offer on select items. I chose the Shami which is broiled ground beef and came with rice, chickpeas, and salad. I thought it was ok but didn't overwhelm me with flavor or wow factor to give it a higher rating. My son ordered Shami as well, felt the same, and is somewhat of a rice snob to where he didn't eat much of his rice. The naan was plentiful in quantity but not taste as it was simply bread. I also ordered the baklava as I typically do at restaurants who make it given time spent in the middle east, and hoping to find something comparable. The baklava here was small for the price, overly sweet, and seemingly saturated instead of flaky. I would try other options before returning to this restaurant given my perceived lack of flavor in the food with this experience."
"Tonight was my first visit to supreme hot pot, and if I'm in the area, won't be the last. It's been a few years since I've visited a hot pot restaurant like this, but thoroughly enjoyed myself. They had a great selection of meat included in the price, along with several premium options I didn't try. The vegetable and seafood bar is open, well stocked with fresh ingredients, and absolutely delicious. It has an open environment that is great for medium sized groups, and attentive Waite staff that checked in frequently, but not in a bothersome way to see if anything else was needed."
"Shrimp fajita grits and whiting with Mac/cheese were ordered. The service was great! Inside, there was a sign stating that they had recently painted so part of the lobby was blocked off with limited seating available to dine. The food was less than ok with the exception of the fish which my son said was excellent. It is not somewhere I'll visit in the future."
"Very cosy place! And friendly Turkish staff! If you like kebap, you can try İskender Kebap here for sure!I really enjoyed it. The presentation also very ethnic and nice!Iskender one of traditional Turkish dish!Lentil soup also Turkish traditional starter. Taste wasn't bad. But I prefer thicker. This wasn't my favorite!Nice patio! But they need better vent! Because unfortunately after I had the meal, all my clothes and hair was smell :(Yes but for Iskender I think I can take it:)"

Lots of good food and excellent service. The soups were excellent, as were the hachapuri. The potatoes that came with the herring were a hit too. Nice atmosphere. I'm happy I found the food I grew up eating nearby.

I wish I knew earlier that Krazi Kebob is still in business via a virtual kitchen! So so happy I found out this week. Got a paneer pi-naan-za and a chicken naan burrito yesterday - both on garlic naan of course! I forgot to add a spicy chutney to my pi-naan-za, but other than that they were both so good!

Just a simple, family run business with, hands down, the most amazing chicken kabob I've ever tasted! We order the dark meat for juicy, tender little packets if flavor explosions! Don't come here if you can't be patient while your food is prepared fresh. The owner remembered us from our first visit and he enjoys conversation with the customers, if you're so inclined. There's time to do so because, it usually a lot ifOpen tables. Much of the meals go to take out and I've never seen more than a few patrons eating in. The chicken kabob is what keeps us coming back but, I've tried the soup and the chick peas and both were excellent. I'll have to go back and try some of the other meals but, it's so hard to pass up on that chicken! Yum!

It's been awhile since I have eaten here as I no longer live in the area. My friend wanted kabobs and I immediately recommended this place. As we decided to dine in, the staff gave us some free soup while we waited for our food.I ordered the Combo Kabob with beef and bone-in chicken. Not many Kabob spots offer bone-in chicken because it takes longer to cook. I got a side of chicken curry and chick peas. All of these items were as good as I remembered them to be. I highly recommend you try this place out if you're in the mood for Kabobs. The staff here is friendly and are service oriented. Go check them out!

Kirby Club has become a go to for me when I'm in town. Service is always good. The food -- Yummy! And the the drinks are great concoctions. I typically sit at the the bar because there has always been space and the bartenders are kind. I've never had a bad meal here. It is a mediterranean concept, so while they have some typical items they may not have everything you're looking for.

BLUF: Delicious food but some service and cleanliness issuesMy family used to go hear a lot before covid. It's the first time I've been back since covid began. They renovated the place and it's not as run down as it once was, although it's still pretty dark inside. I went with a group of five other people for dinner.First, the food. Everyone was very pleased with their food. We are also given a nice basket of naan bread and a salad for the table to share. Overall everyone's comment on their food range from very good to delicious. What are the downsides? Well, they have an earn of hot tea available for anyone to get some while they're waiting for their meal. The tea is actually very tasty. Which all sounds good right? The problem is out of the six of us two of us picked up cups that were there for us to use and found lipstick stains on them. Clearly they hadn't been cleaned. Kind of off-puttingThe other aspect was the service. Two of us had to ask for water glasses because they weren't on the table even though the table was supposedly set for six. Also service was slow, and the food came out for one person then I'll wait, then I'll wait for the next person and so on.Having said all of that I think they only had one server working that evening. He was clearly working very hard and trying to please everybody, but they needed at least one more worker out there to give proper service.Qabali Palaui

慕名而来,没有失望好吃Authentic hotpot spot offers savory bone broth. Quality meats, veggies and more. Sauce station doesn't have the extensive spread like some others do, but good enough and has all the essentials.Value- reasonable pricing Service- top notch, and very accommodating. I asked for hot sake since they didn't have it they gave me a bucket of hot water. And I was able to warm up the sake that way, which is even better.Atmosphere- inside decoration was mimicking of the traditional Chinese furnishings, solid materials and comfortable.Highly recommend @WineDinenVacay

I satisfied my craving for crispy, seasoned fried chicken at MASH Eatery today. The chicken was fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection, retaining its juiciness. The macaroni and cheese was an enjoyable extra. Although I usually don't use DoorDash for this restaurant, I'll consider it again due to the pleasant Dasher's careful delivery. BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN YEARS! Oh and the biscuits are heaven. Popeyes who?

"I had a lamb kabob sandwich or wrap, which was good. I had a side of fries, which were also good. As a drink I had some kind of Indian tea, which was good as well. The staff were nice and the service was fast and friendly. The only thing I suggest is adding a recycling bin and making the bathrooms look more interesting by adding some nice decor or a wall mural. Other than that, all else was good!"
"The drinks were good. The Baba ghanoush was just ok. Had a weird taste. But great portion to share.I'll be back for more. Great people watching."
"Ummm soooo I'm not sure what's going on here with these recent reviews but it made me think what would I do if I ever receive the kind of service or nasty food from them??? I look forward to my medium shrimp pizza, kabob platter, wings, and spinach pizza. I always have it delivered and most of the time my food arrives nice and hot. I have experienced the cold pizza before but it was still delicious once reheated in the oven real quick! I stick with what they "specialize in"."
"Definitely a college friendly place, full meal for about $6. They do not skimp on the food, I believe the meat is halal (kosher) as well. The chickpeas, spinach and chicken are my favorite. The chicken is always moist and the chickpeas pack a ton of flavor. Definitely recommend is your looking for a fast good food in a casual spot. If you are not on a budget go for the lamb! It is amazing!"
"I was excited to try this new place based on what I read about the DC location. This shop shares a location with Z burger (like a combination KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell) and all the workers and clients are over there. That's the first clue this might not be ideal. So it took awhile to get an employee to grab my take out order, cause of the Z burger thing. Three stars are for just the koobideh, that was moist, perfectly cooked and delicious. The rest lacked. I eat a low sodium diet only cause I don't really like a lot of salt and I can't believe I'm saying this, but please dear God add some salt to the rice. This is probably the worst soggy rice I've ever had and it has the color of saffron, but absolutely zero flavor. Please call your maman joon for a recipe. Salmon kabobs was a tiny portion but had good spice. Baklava was super dry. It would have if they sumac to go with the kabobs. I hope things pick up and the food is improved, I don't see myself going back in the near future."
"This is flagship dolan uyghur. Much bigger space and nicer furnishings than dolan dc. There also looks like there is a space for live music.I love the food here. My husband says the noodles are as good as anything you can get in asia. The cold skin noodles are delicious. Great texture and flavor. We love the hand pulled noodles--chewy and extra long. The tea is nice would recommend. We tried one of their pides this time. I love turkish pides and lahmacun and they have both on menu. Very yummy good flavor cheese and texture for bread. Over ordered but had no leftovers.I want to have my birthday party here."
"I don't know if this is a new restaurant or just a hidden gem, but I am glad I found this spot. I have already picked up twice from here in the past two weeks because it's that good.I plan to dine inside next time because the interior is clean and seems fun. But I would recommend carry out or dine in because the food is that good. The rice, veggies, and meat are all delicious. Both times I have come in the workers have been very helpful at getting my order ready so I old assume the done in service is excellent as well. Very good spot - highly recommend! I am excited to try their special dessert next time."
"Malik and the team here very generous and the food is great. It was a great place to visit after visiting Georgetown hospital."
"Small spot but great food! I got the chicken over rice platter and asked for their seasoned rice. It was a large platter and very filling. The white sauce was delicious, the chicken was so flavorful and I loved the salad it came with. I wish it was a little spicier so I may ask for that next time. For seating there's some inside and more outside. Overall a great spot!"
"5 stars. Delicious lamb kabob.Cooked the way I like it.Great location. Bread Ok too."
"Some days Urfa is a 3, some days a 4, some days a 5, very inconsistent.I really want this place to be 5 stars but they don't make it easy. I typical get the falafel platter with rice, veggies and salad and it's delicious! The falafel are quite good (yes deep fried-some days a little too much but so good). The meal itself with veggies, rice, salad and dressing is a really good meal. And I always get hummus on the side. Their hummus-as a middle easterner I find it weird they have hummus and a hummus dip on the menu. Keep it traditional with the hummus - one of them is super soupy like which is disappointing and when I order I can never remember which one I like. Hummus shouldn't be thin it's not tahini (although made with tahini) :) Also what I dislike is that I always ask for no bread or no sauce and they always give me 3-6 pieces of huge bread when I specify no bread and it just goes to waste EVERY time. I hate wasting food and I can't eat gluten so it's just frustrating-I wish they would read the notes when people order or listen better. I still order from here knowing that my meal will be either mediocre or great, it's a chance I take sometimes when I crave their falafel platter."
"I was a little skeptical going into this place because it seemed deserted. The staff was genuinely kind and walked me through the different options. I went with Biryani chicken with rice and salad. Great choice! The food was flavorful, nicely seasoned and filling. I had no need for salt on anything. I added the yogurt sauce which is a nice touch to cool the spicy in the dish. Prices are reasonable and the dish can serve two people. Seating is small but it wasn't busy. If you can, stop here."
"Was afraid to try this place based on prior reviews, but glad I did. Food was delicious and just what I was looking for for a late night dinner."
