"Holy cow! I feel really sad for the other lunch goers who are waiting in line at the Cosi and other food trucks and leaving this truck wide open for my impatient curiosity to approach because they have nooo idea of what they're missing out on. I've just taken my first bites of my lunch and I am completely blown away the the quality of food for a food truck. And what a great deal too! Two choices for only $9. You don't get much better than that in the lunch price range in the DC metro area. I tried my hand at the Corn Fritters and Chicken Bom-Bom. Let's start with the fact that these things are deliciously crispy including the garlic fries. So yum! The corn fritters are sweet and have a great creamy sauce on top and the chicken bom-bom were so flavorful. Like I said I just took my first bites and I couldn't help but share with my Yelp community how incredible this experience is. Next time this truck is in your hood, go eat there."
"I got the combination chicken and lamb on the salad. It's delicious and fresh!! The first thing I ate were the chick peas!!! They are so delicious, a suggestion would be to offer them as a side because I surely would eat them alone! Nice portions although I asked for extra lamb since I need more protein.Excellent food, great prices and great customer service!!"

"This place is AMAZING! Right outside my job in Foggy bottom. The nice gentleman let me sample the lamb & chicken. Both were good but the lamb was DELICIOUS!!! I got the pita, and he grilled my onions! So fresh! Can't wait to come back."
"The best baconeggncheese I have had in a long time. The chopped cheese was fire too!I can't post a picture cause I ate it so fast because it was so good. ~From a Certified New Yorker."
"Customer Service is a big deal to me - especially when it comes to food trucks. In the case of Sang on Wheels, few come close to how amicable they are. This was my second visit in three years only because, until the DC Food Truck Lottery (love it or hate it), they did not visit near my work very often. I didn't recall from my first visit anything extraordinary about their service, but that was not long after they started...I think their first week. Anyway now, Sang on Wheels seems to go out of their way to leave a positive impression with each and every customer. In my case, not only did I get what I ordered, she doubled the amount of noodles that would typically come with the meal and added extra chicken too. This was no exception as my coworker got the same and we were each given free egg rolls too. I also ordered the Asian Empanada which is apparently a new offering. Overall, the chicken and noodles I would give a 3 or 3.5...but the volume of food for the money bumps it to a solid 4. The egg rolls and empanadas? 5.0 hands down. The impact of the DC Food Truck Lottery has largely been negative for the consumer in the Foggy Bottom area as variety is sorely lacking compared to before. But this is one exception where they brought an elusive truck back to my backyard.Check them out...but make sure that you are hungry!"
"I'm Persian and was pleasantly surprised to see this in the long line of food trucks. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. Wish they were in Chinatown more often!"
"Best tacos and burritos in the area! If you're looking for authentic tacos and burritos, this place is it! The flavor of the tacos and burritos do not disappoint and the portions are consistent every time I visit this food truck. The staff members are very nice and fast with orders."
"Good, tasty, flavorful and quick! When you're in the mood for good, quick food that isn't considered fast food, give this taco food truck a try.First time I've visited, though have worked in the area for 6 years and never gave them a thought. A co-worker recently tried them and highly recommended a visit.Tacos are inexpensive and menu is mostly in Spanish, so I had to ask and somewhat guess. I had two pork tacos and one pork and pineapple. They have six other types. But the soup on their menu looked like the best. I plan to try it one of these days.Three delicious tacos, great sauce and flavor, and a can of soda for less than $10, can't beat it. Since its less than a mile from work, I plan to visit about once a week."
"This was an unexpected, unplanned simply delightful treat. I stumbled upon the truck on 12th St, NW near Metro Center and decided to indulge. I chose a vanilla cupcake with lemon icing. I love that you pick your flavor/icing combo. Great idea so that you're not boxed into pre-determined combinations and it's so simple and quick for the icing to be applied (or not) to your cupcake of choice. When spotted again I will definitely buy more than one and maybe share!"
"Had lunch at this food truck and wouldn't be quick to go back. The service was friendly but I ordered the gyro salad and was pretty underwhelmed.First of all, the salad was mostly lettuce and VERY little of everything else. There was barely any feta cheese on it and maybe two tomato slices. The gyro meat was pretty standard but was greasier than the gyro meat I'm used to eating. The sauce wasn't bad but how can you really ruin tzatziki/yogurt sauce.Probably wouldn't go here again."
"Jerk at Nite was a lovely experience in the city.To set the scene, it's on a corner unit on the H street block, and there's a to-go station that is outdoors.Parking was decent, I parked in the neighborhood and my friend found parking across the street. There is not really a fleshed out waiting area, so considering the busy nature of the restaurant, you're going to be a bit awkward, either waiting in your car, waiting in the cold, or standing up in the limited space in the restaurant. Our server was quick to share her perspectives on the dishes we inquired about, and showed pride in how jerk at nite differentiated themselves from other food spots. Now, to the meat and potatoes (pun intended)Me and a friend both got the tropical punch, along with a water. The tropical punch had a layered taste to it- you could definitely taste the passion fruit, mango and more. For both my friend and I, we agreed it was a little watery. It felt like either the result of a syrup based drink, or, a jungle juice type drink where there's ice in the jug, and it melts over time. I didn't think it was too big of a deal, as the degree of watery-ness didn't ruin it. 5/10The Mac & Cheese is an extremely affordable appetizer for the size of dish that you receive. There were 5 people in our party, and we were easily able to split two dishes of the Mac & cheese at $13 a piece. It was extremely seasoned (in a good way), and it didn't have a nasty consistency about it, which is my complaint with a lot of Mac & cheese's. 10/10.The jerk chicken pasta was seasoned TO THE GODS. The sauce was prevalent, but not overwhelming, and the cheese was a nice touch. There even was a kick of spice to each bite. 8/10.I didn't order the tacos, however, the tortilla has a nice char on it, which I appreciate. It didn't fall apart with each bite, and there were enough ingredients within each taco that you're getting a combination of flavors with each bite.Be careful- there was a 18% gratuity included automatically on our check, and our server didn't go out of her way to point it out. One of our friends ended up paying $10 extra, on top of the service charge. That and the tropical punch was the only reason I give Jerk at Nite on H street: 4/5 Stars."
"No frills food truck on a park off Rhodes street. We live nearby, so come here from time to time. I wasn't blown away by the tacos but absolutely love the burrito, which we typically split. The carne asada is my favorite. They have some portable tables you can eat at or grab a seat at a park bench and watch some dogs play."

One of the best deals around. 1) This isn't your chicken and rice from the famous Halal Guys truck (aka 53rd and 6th in NYC) but I think the food here is honestly better. The chicken has tremendous flavor. The chickpeas (which they sometimes don't have which sucks) are a nice add-on. And the vegetables always seem fresh. I actually strangely think the rice is the star of this plate. It's not really seasoned or prepared in any special way, but it goes so well with the chicken, gyro, and sauce. The white sauce and hot sauce are good, not great, but they suffice. Some may think it's a bad thing that they only have a few dishes to offer, but I think it shows that they really focus on making sure the food they do produce is top notch. 2) Value is the best. When other food trucks are charging minimum $10 per entrée, this truck charges 25% less and they don't skimp out on food either. Every time I have food from there, I am guaranteed to be stuffed after. Honestly, sometimes I avoid eating here just because I know I don't have self-control and I will regret feeling super full the rest of the afternoon. 3) Service is really fast here. They keep it simple and the food comes out quick. Give this place a shot if you haven't already. Don't think you'll be disappointed.

Probably the best falafel I've ever had! I've been eating here for months and it's always great. You get a lot of food for a good price, and the guy is really friendly and generous.

This cute little cafe truck is giving. My salted caramel latte was delicious. I got the pesto mozza bagel and it was really good. I think if they could find a way to get the bagel crisper and cheese melted it would be even better. Staff is friendly. They are parked at Oakland Park.

Sang on Wheels offers plentiful servings of Thai favorites. I was expecting more heat from a truck run by a Laotian person, but the flavors are still good, though not as fiery as traditional Thai.My vegetarian drunken noodles included a generous heaping of chewy wide rice noodles, broccoli (could be cut a little smaller), julienned (used loosely) carrots, and fried tofu. Sang's version wasn't spicy, but it was well-seasoned otherwise. I appreciated that it wasn't overly salty, as many drunken noodle renditions can be. The noodles also weren't clumpy and perfectly al dente, another point for that. An appeal to the owner: give this dish some heat and make the broccoli more bite-size, and it'll be even better! At nine bucks, the vegetarian drunken noodles is an average-priced item from a DC food truck. Adding a protein like shrimp will of course bring your price up a little more. Nothing outrageous, typical.Though not extraordinary, Sang on Wheels, from what I have tried so far, provides tasty and fresh to-go meals. Besides assorted stir fries, they also offer a soup of the day. Today's special was pho, which is apparently also quite popular in Laos.

YES.YES!!Food trucks - pay attention. This is what a $10 plate should look like, and taste like. The food is freaking delicious, I'm not even playing. The chicken is tender, the gyro delicious, the grape leaf things are yum, the sauce is heaven. So delicious, my new favorite truck. You get a ton of food for $10 - which is what food trucks were supposed to be like. Yummy Yum Food Truck ladies - I salute you. Y'all are awesome.

"My husband and I luckily stumbled across this food truck on the hunt for food for his birthday. We went to TasteMakers first, but most of their restaurants were closed and as we were leaving, we spotted Petit Afrik, a West African food truck. We decided to get one thing to split and tried the Bakassi Steak Sandwich and OMG! It was Phenomenal!!! Definitely a unique sandwich and very flavorful. And they make their own bread which was also equally delicious. Couple the sandwich with the pineapple hibiscus drink and we were thoroughly pleased. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again. You can find them on Facebook and IG @petitafrikdc. Give them a call to see where their food truck will be that day. We caught them right across the street from Right Proper Brewing Company in Brookland, but they also said they frequent H Street, Howard University and a few other places. I loved seeing these 2 young African men pursue their dreams while also serving delicious meals. We'll definitely be back soon! It's worth the trip!"
"the first two times my soft shell crab po' boys were spectacular. thereafter, things haven't been the same. po'boys not as hot and fresh and the jambalaya was the biggest disappointment, even if it was a huge portion. not sure where the change happened, but i wish it hadn't. overall, it's a great change of pace on the lunch scene."
"It used to be a Pizza Hut location, so there was a lot of familiarity with the location. However, the food was really great! I like that the portion sizes are very generous too. There was quite a long wait, but as long as the food is good and made fresh, so I definitely didn't mind. I was here on a Sunday, and it seemed very family friendly for everyone to be comfortably served. It's also easily wheelchair accessible. Just has a slow paced home like feel to it, which is great."
"This truck is outside my job every Tuesday. I always saw my coworkers getting food and I never went but today I decided to stop. I got a crab cake with Mac and cheese and the buffet and with that I got gumbo, greens and Mac and cheese. The food was delicious to me. The greens are cooked with turkey and seasoned just right. The customer service is amazing. They give out samples and have wonderful smiles. I will be back next week to try the jerk chicken and red deans and rice."
"Small family business I discovered out of pure luck!!! I wanted a beef patty so bad and they didn't disappoint!!! Very moist, flaky and flavorful. So glad I decided to take a chance, it's always the spot you least expect to surprise you! Hubby got the curry chicken and I helped eat it haha it's that good! Will definitely be back!"
"Quite good and the only things keeping me from giving them 5 stars are noted below. I've been a few times and the food has been consistently good here at Fava Pot. My co-workers were so impressed when they saw my food that they joined be today to get their Fava on.I only have a few minor quibbles. The meat is not consistently juicy, I know that they must pre-cook in order to maintain production times. However, my kofta today was a bit dry and one of my co-workers also mentioned that their chicken was a bit dry. My last order (chicken platter) was also a bit lukewarm but was not dry.Overall the flavors and freshness of the ingredients here really shine. I could eat the toum (garlic ) sauce with a spoon! I wish there were more fresh vegetable options for sides since two pieces of bread AND potatoes (or rice) really adds to the carb load.Overall, great truck with very friendly staff. Now that I have had a series of good experiences with lunch I will make an effort to try their breakfast one of these days, especially since they are one of the few trucks to offer breakfast options!"
"Good cheap and easy...the quickest food truck I have been to! Got the menu that easy to order from!Easily located at corner of Fishers Lane and Twinbrook parkway."
"I work in Rosslyn and the food trucks line up outside of my office on Wilson every day. This food truck has recently become my new favorite and I always keep an eye out when they come to Rosslyn. They are super nice and accommodating and even make pre-orders for you if you request it. They take orders through Instagram as well and are very responsive. I usually get the tamale de elote (corn) and the bean and cheese pupusa. Even though they are small items they are soooo filling and packed with flavor! And also super cheap. I can get a filling meal from them for $5 which is unheard of in the DC area. They are in Rosslyn every Tuesday. Would definitely recommend!"
"Chicken & steak tacos were well seasoned. Unfortunately, the fajita combo was too salty for my taste. My biggest complaint would be for an order that I was told would take approximately 15 - 20 minutes took over 30 minutes."
"I stumbled across Hardy's on Yelp after searching for halal food in Bethesda. Halal BBQ? I didn't believe it so I sent the owner (Corrie) a message and he confirmed the chicken wings and beef is halal. The food truck is available in Bethesda on Saturdays between 11:30am - 2:00pm and is weather permitting. We missed our opportunity last week but today we struck gold. My wife (who only eats halal) and I ventured downtown and ordered enough food to feed a small army. We tried the beef brisket sandwich, pastrami sandwich, half chicken, chicken wings, potato salad, and slaw. When ordering we were told some really helpful instructions on how to heat the food up when we got home. Basically if you aren't eating at the truck they want to make sure you get the best experience when you get home. After getting home we indulged in some of the best BBQ I've ever had. The level of smokiness on the meats is something you only hear about on Food Network but honestly, it's been six hours since we ate and my house still has a smoky aroma. My favorite dish ended up being the wings, which by the way are massive. If you think you are going to get some wimpy nugget-sized wings be warned, these were huge! Make sure you ask for both the spicy and sweet sauce when you order because both are delicious and I can't decide which one I like better. This is my new go-to place for halal eaters, in fact I'll be sending a few texts out tonight to spread the word."
"Flama on wheels is a new-ish food truck that roams around DC. We stumbled upon it this week in Metro Center, thanks to the tasty samples they were giving. They say generally they are a "Latin American" food truck, but if you dig deeper you uncover that they are Puerto Rican influenced. All of the employees are super nice and friendly. $10 gets you a big sandwich, chips and a soda, not a bad deal at all. The tripleta I got was super tasty and filling! I will definetly be back!"
"I went to the Kalveras food truck for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Overall, it's a rather large portion, but the food was kind of sloppily put together.Very predictably, I got the Gyro as the entrée, and there was a lot of lettuce and salad that came with the meal, ...but not a huge portion of meat or tzadziki sauce. My friends got a salad, and our entrées basically look the exact same except for some pita bread. The speed of service was average, so this food truck doesn't really stand out to me."
"Flavor Hive has been going viral on social media and they recently came up to Maryland for a special one-night event, so we bundled up the baby and got ready for what was sure to be a long line. Friends, we somehow still underestimated how long the line would be.They have been famous for doing a halal bowl in any bag of chips you bring to them, with their viral videos showing folks bringing snack sized chips and full sized chips and boxes of salad and even more out-there things like boxes of donuts...??? I brought a regular (full size not snack size) bag of jalapeno kettle chips to share with my partner and our friend got salad green boxes so we got one of those as well. The line was looong and there were 2 which confused a lot of folks. I think our line was for the bag of chips special and maybe bowls, whereas the other line was just the standard menu but no to the bags of chips? We waited almost an hour and a half, shoutout to all the babies and toddlers who were in the line in the cold totally confused. There was a decent delay for our line, and the other line didn't seem to move much faster, but things were moving relatively well when I got to the front so I wonder if they were restocking or something while I was waiting.Because the line is so huge, I'll be real with you, if you are not prepared by the time you get to the front, you will be facing some pretty brusque folks who don't want you to hold up the line. A guy was taking orders down the line so that there was no delay in ordering with the guys cooking, with you getting to tell them the options with sauces, toppings, etc. However, they were very kind to us and the girl in front of us who wanted no meat (!) in her bag.I also wasn't really sure how the pricing worked. In their videos, they say it's $10 to get any size bag of chips made into a walking bowl, and their website I think indicated it's $14 for the combo meat (chicken + beef + gyro) but we were charged $17 for each chips bag. For how much food we got -- that bag of chips gets HEFTY -- this seemed fair, but I can understand folks being a bit confused if they came for the $10 deal they saw on Tiktok. Was it delicious?YEAH yeah it was pretty delicious actually. What a dangerous way to just eat an entire bag of chips as a meal hahahaThere is a lot of delicious flavor packed in, and even as leftovers (there was no way we would be able to finish with how generously they scooped in the food) it was really really delicious. I would happily get Flavor Hive again but I will NOT wait in a line like this again and I probably won't do the chips again for a while. Their regular offerings seem really tasty but the novelty of the chips deal is fun and worth trying out!"
"Our neighborhood taco food truck that never disappoints. My go to is the shrimp tacos with a Mexican Coke. The spot is always popular and the tacos are always FRESH and oh so flavorful. I never have to wait more than a few minutes and while I wait there is a cute park for seating nearby. Excellent service and experience every time."
"Oh my god. Another food truck location and it was AMAZING!!!!! Taqueria los primos never disappoints in flavor and portion. I was so happy that it was not busy so my food was made quick and love. Could not post pictures of food because I was too excited to eat but I promise you every pay day I will be here. :DThe workers are extremely nice and while the area is in a gas station and on the side of a busy road, the tables are there for your convenience."
"Dios mios what a gem of a find. On a food truck. In a gas station. In downtown silver spring.I was in a rush to grab lunch so I figured why not. I'm getting gas, bullet-looking truck or the Dominican one? I went with my gut--fajita sub factory here I come.Their menu is Latin inspired and have a few Italian offerings. I went with my first choice, arepas Peru and holy smokes the flavors in that bad boy was aggressive. Chunks of tilapia ceviche, red onion, and huancaina sauce in a warm, toasty "corn bagel" and I just said my prayers early today because it was PERFECT. Not that it needed anything else, but the pickled onions, pico, and two salsas sealed the deal on every bite.I may even make excuses to just get my gas here, just so I can visit again."
"They came through for me! The food trucks are delivering food too. Very convenient. The food was so good, they had me eating the radishes...... Very good option for those who are dairy free like me."
"Pretty good empanadas! I got the three meat options being offered that day: divine swine, el toro, and the badass. None was particularly impressive, but I WAS impressed with how much sauce they managed to put in there. For example, I really tasted the buffalo sauce for the chicken one and I was amazed at how Americanized it tasted. There isn't much service to be provided here, but it could really use a step up. The guy taking orders had a don't-bother-me look and never once made eye contact or smiled once. He's the same one frying the empanadas, and he does it without wearing any gloves or anything-right after he handled the money. Sigh."
"Two and a half stars. Wild salad ingredients sounded less boring than Caesar, but the generic shredded lettuce saddened me despite the thinly sliced red onions, olives, tomato dice, and crumbled feta. Very bland chickpeas, the spinach has got to be better. Lamb platter offers tender cubes of gyro meat over slightly mushy rice. The drizzle of spicy sauce atop it is unimpressive in heat and flavor. Their price point is decent for the food portion compared to other trucks, but I'd still shell out a little more for Tasty Kabob's superior flavor."
"Still love this spot! I have ordered pretty much everything on the menu at this point. My favorite is the meatloaf. Every time I have a visitor from back home, I take them here. They get jealous whenever I say I'm going to Vibes when they're not in town. The service is still as immaculate as ever from Mr & Mrs Vibes (Andre & Karen) to their staff. No need to complain about wait times, this is a restaurant not a fast food joint. The wait time is pretty standard, about 15-20 minutes. Some times are busier than others (ie when people are getting off of work, or Amish market days Thurs-Sat). Also, this place is always on tiktok so you have to factor in viewers trying it out too. I used to wait in the cold and rain when Vibes was a food truck so I surely don't mind waiting now. A lot of times (that I've noticed) when a food truck becomes brick & mortar, the quality of food and service suffer. Not this place! I love seeing BOBs prosper. Keep up the great work :)"
"The food is delicious and the price is right. Had the pork BBQ sandwich it was tender and flavorful. I liked being able to add my own sauce. The meal deal was $8.50 which beats out the other food trucks as well. Would love to eat again. Pleas come back to state center Baltimore!"
"Some of the best tacos I've had in the DMV! Let me count the ways:- Elvira does not skimp on the meat or toppings for her dishes - my biggest taco disappointments generally involve measly toppings portions (I'm looking at you SOL!). But rest assured, Elvira's portions are substantial!- Each order is made fresh, this means that every item tastes like your favorite tio decided to cook just in your honor, and tailor made it to your preference. Be sure to ask for the extra baggy of spicy toppings if heat is your thing - she'll chop up fresh peppers and include them on the side to go.- Affordable! You'll never be ripped off here - prices are super reasonable, and honestly a steal considering the freshness and portions- Fresh horchata and tamarind juice? Sold.If you're in the area, please check out this spot! Definitely worth stopping by at least once!"
"So the rain finally went away at least for today on this very nice hot Sunday! I have been wanting these ribs allllll this week. It's been 3 years, or will be Thursday of next week, but anywho 3 YEARS! And I'm still a fan. You can never go wrong when the food is great and the customer service is excellent.Smoke stack is now conveniently located across the street from the #Census Bureau.... Lunch anyone? Right down the street from the Suitland Metro Station. They are in the old Rite Aid parking lot as if you weren't able to follow the delicious smell. A great location to pick up dinner on your way home. There is ample parking as there's an entire private parking lot. Easily Metro accessible.New loyalty program where your food could be free! Stop by, have a great meal and enjoy!"
