"My family used to go to China Star regularly. When Chef Yan took its place, we were a bit worried; however, it hasn't skipped a beat. Chef Yan is easily the best Szechuan-style Chinese restaurant in the DMV (Mama Chang's doesn't hold a candle to Chef Yan). Pretty much everything we order is fantastic and the sheer number of menu items makes it that much more impressive. There are easily 20-30 amazing dishes on this menu. During our most recent visit, we stuck to the seafood, ordering the Chongqing fish and the fish and tofu in chili oil. Both were excellent -- very spicy -- and right up there with the dishes we normally order here. Anyone giving Chef Yan less than 4 stars doesn't have a clue!"

"I hate to be the first to leave a review, but I'm so disappointed. I don't live here, so I was trying to find food close to my hotel. I came across this food hall. On google maps they have high ratings, so I decided to give them a try. It's mostly a virtual spot for DoorDash/uber eats/etc., but you can order online via the food hall site or inside. So no real interaction with people. I ordered the breaded tenders and the chicken Kari roll; sauces: mint chutney and buffalo sauce. I did NOT get tenders, I got boneless wings that were like all shapes and sizes. The buffalo garlic Parmesan flavor is good. The chicken Kari roll was NOT what I thought or what was described online. It's like a big taco, it had more veggies than chicken. The Mint chutney sauce is good, the buffalo sauce is okay but not the best. Somewhat tastes like hot red, but as if they added something to disguise it. I wouldn't go back."

"I have been craving lemon pepper wings for a week or so. I finally caved and made my way to get some. I ordered 20 wings, 10 lemon pepper all flats for me and 10 honey old bay all rounds/drums for my friend. They came out within 10 minutes, tasted fresh and were hot. The lemon pepper were a bit salty and my friend said the honey old bay could've been more wet. Overall, they were good. I would come here again."

"Have been here a few times and was surprised I had not reviewed it. It's the place to satisfy my occasional burger craving. Came during the week for lunch. It was not busy which surprises me because it is so good. Lots of TVs all on different channels. I got the cheeseburger with blue cheese, extra lettuce, and done medium. My friend also got a burger. We also ordered the cheesesteak (without peppers) out of curiosity.The burger was nearly perfect (cheese wasn't evenly distributed). It had a lot of meat and cheese and lettuce. And the fries delicious; Crunchy and thin but not too thin. Here is the crazy part- the cheesesteak was awesome! Didn't see that coming at all! Wow. The cheese was evenly distributed throughout the meet. Roll perfect fresh and chewiness. OMG- so happy I made this discovery. My waistline may never be the same."

"The food was delicious! I haven't had fried okra in 30 years and this was just as tasty and crispy as I remembered! The peach cobbler is in a small container that I doubt was made on site, but I could make two servings out of it and it was also delicious! I ordered online and it was ready for pick up when I got there. The one guy there was nice. It is a small place that I am not sure is considered a place to dine, but for takeout it is great!"

"Visited SPS Cuisine at their new location at Hideaway in Clinton, MD. You order your food at the bar from the SPS staff. While you wait you can enjoy your time at hideaway. They have a full bar, juke box and pool tables. I ordered the SPS basket with Zerk(sweet jerk) wings, steak and cheese egg rolls and fries. The food came out fresh and full of flavor. The egg rolls were my favorite, seasoned well and provolone instead of American! I will def return to check out more items!"

"Visiting this gem of a restaurant with my wife this past Saturday. Burgers were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Lots of customization options which were not overwhelming and made a difference in the overall taste (unlike some other burger restaurants). Service was great! Overall amazing and we're planning on returning whenever we A.) Have friends visiting from out of town/country; B.) have a hankering for a great burger; C.) both A and B. While we were dine-in, I might recommend takeout instead... nothing wrong with dine-in, but I imagine this place gets very busy and tables might not always be available."

"I had just landed at Reagan National Airport when I decided to grab some wings on my way to my room. The local Bonchon was only a few miles away and in the same direction I was going to. I drove straight there and they had good parking in the shopping center. There was no line when I entered and I place my order ( this location does not sell the Korean wine Soju ) and sat down. Decided to read a couple reviews on yelp and to my surprise they had some of the worst ratings I've ever seen for any Bonchon in this country. Now I'm nervous, my orders already in and I'm not sure what to think. So I just decided to observe the establishment to see how they were operating. Can I spot the problems. This Bonchon location is a little bit smaller than what I'm used to seeing but they were generally clean ( the bathroom too ) and the atmosphere was pleasant. There was a couple sitting at the table enjoying their meal and each other's company. But most of the orders that came in was for takeout or pick up ( delivery ). They're located in a shopping center that generally closes at 9 PM but they stay open till 10. I noticed a larger portion orders the box could not close. Meaning the wing and leg pieces would be over the top and he literally couldn't close the box so he just put it in the bag and tie it off without actually closing the box or using a second box to complete the order. I notice / read a lot of people complained about that ( open wings box ) in the Yelp Reviews, but I was able to watch it firsthand that's the way he operates. The solution is to use as many boxes as necessary to complete the order especially on delivery orders. Stop trying to save money on using boxes. The world is just getting over COVID-19 and safety is paramount. especially in the delivery food business.Now my order is ready and I watched him place it in the bag without closing the box because it can't, it's over full and tie off the top ends of the bag. That's fine because I visually watched him do it but that would not work for delivery service. Now let's get to the texture and taste. The texture was fine deep fried with a nice coating but the flavor is was off. Half of my wings and legs were Soy Garlic flavor and the other half was spicy flavor. The soy garlic was a little bit off but I was able to identify it but my spicy was barely spicy with no flavor. That's not cool, that's not Bonchon. I am not interested on purposely returning to this location. But I do hope they get it together for Bonchon namesake."

"Bonchon is a no nonsense fast casual Korean wings and drumstick restaurant. We ordered a shrimp dumpling starter and the new Yangnyeom wings/drumsticks. The wings were hearty and very easy to eat, but messy. We had to ask for extra napkins. The sauce was the star of the show, the sweet and spicy flavors were prevalent. The drumsticks were much larger than I expected! They almost looked like the ones from the renaissance festival. The skin was perfectly crisp and held the Yangnyeom flavor well. We were disappointed in the shrimp starter, it was six small dumplings with a honey mustard smattered around on the dish.The service was good, the server was attentive. The ambiance was aligned to that of a diner but was perfectly reasonable for the type of food served. There were quite a few tvs with different sports showing."

"A friend and I bopped in here after an event we'd attended after seeing other patrons with the food bag. Located on the corner of Upshur and Georgia Ave in Petworth, it's super easy to spot! Upon our arrival, the dining area was full (all booths were taken) but the bar area was open so we sat there. It was both of our first times being there so we didn't know what to expect. The hostess didn't really provide any instruction or even ask us if this was our first time dining there. She just told us that it was ok for us to sit at the bar. Once we sat down, we were immediately greeted by someone else who provided us with water. At that point, my friend grabbed 2 menus from the hostess stand (the same one who didn't say anything) and we browsed the menu. Again, by it being our first time there, we were expecting someone to come to us for our order. It wasn't until one of the employees prepping the meals told us to use the QR code to order that we did. Ordering was super easy and very convenient. The process was honestly one of my favorites. It had every option and add-on option clearly spelled out. Because I wanted a leg and wing, I ordered the 3 piece meal. Each meal comes with 2 dinner rolls and I added the Mac and cheese! The chicken was piping hot when we received it (which wasn't going after ordering! It was juicy and crispy. The honey dust also to add extra flavor! Next time I go, I will try one of the honey drizzles (which is an up charge FYI)The Mac and cheese was not the best I've had but was pretty standard for what you're expecting. It was good, though. I wanted to try the potato wedges but decided against it. The dinner rolls...my favorite part of the meal! Overall, I'd give Honeymoon a 3.5 to 4 out of 5 stars! Service can be improved ESPECIALLY for first timers. Never assume someone knows your policy and the hostess could've been a little friendlier. Everyone else in the establishment was great! And after the chicken cooked a bit, it could noticeably have used a tad more seasoning but again, the honey dust or other honey options really does enhance the taste! I'd go back to try something else for sure!"

"Utterly surprised I don't already have a review for one of my fav spots in DC! Kochix is a locally-owned Korean fried chicken spot. This should become one of your regular spots for ordering out.Their drumsticks and wings are ginormous and delicious. My go-to orders are the 10 wings, half hot honey spicy and half honey lemon pepper. They're always nice and crisp and easily heated up for a future meal in my air fryer. I don't love their fries, but their onion rings are tasty. Even better are their corn nuggets! They're corn fritters with whole corn inside, a corn lovers dream lolThis is a crowd pleaser as I've served them to friends and coworkers. Alas, there isn't really space to eat here aside from a short counter against a wall. It's located near the corner of Rhode Island and Florida, so not the most scenic corner of the city, but very much worth the trip or delivery order!"

Everyone has their own favorite, some like it sickeningly sweet and corn syrup-y, while others, like me, prefer it with some paprika and hot-sauce and very light sweet & sour undertones, like here at Wings N' More Wings. While you can pretty much find wings and mumbo sauce at any DC Chinese restaurant like Yum's or even Kenny's, those of us that have lived in DC and have tried each and every one will tell you that the meatiest, heartiest, best whole wings in town are here. And if you're really in the know, you'll get them double fried - once quick fried, once a little longer - for that perfect crispy skin. And you don't pick pieces off the wings and dip them into your mumbo sauce, you dip entire sections of the wing in and take a huge bite out. This is a time to forget what you learned at etiquette school and just get messy. I'm telling you, food just tastes better that way. I ordered the hot lola's chicken sandwich with waffle fries, a yuzu lemonade, and the spice level that I chose was 'OG HOT'. The spice level was just right and not too spicy (more detail on this later).This location is in the middle of a mall eatery, so the ambiance is very hustle and bustling. You order from touch screens and once your order is done and paid for, the staff works their magic. A few minutes later, my meal was called out by my name! The yuzu lemonade was delicious! Super refreshing and it had a natural feel/taste to it. The fries were golden crispy and coupled with the ketchup they had a nice rich and soothing feel with each and every bite! Yum! The chicken sandwich was comforting and juicy! The heat, coupled with the slaw and brioche bun! My goodness! Do not get me started! This meal was so delicious and also filling!Check this place out!
