"I ordered 2 individual Thanksgiving meals from Della J's this year. The meal options sounded good so I went with a white meat turkey meal and a brisket meal. Each meal came with a choice of bread (I selected cornbread for both) and 2 sides (choose from the regular menu). I knew it was a lot of food but I wanted options and to try a few things from this restaurant.I didn't like that individual meals had to be ordered the day before TG as takeout meals. That meant they were hot so you had to reheat them for TG, while the meals for larger parties came chilled with reheating instructions. It's like those ordering individual meals were being treated differently (and not in a good way). On to the ordering process. I called around 12:30pm the day before TG and was told they were backed up and to call back in an hour. I called back more than an hour later and got the busy signal a few times and the call wouldn't go through. Now I was getting nervous that I might be left without a plan if I couldn't get through. But finally did get through and placed my order. Had to provide a credit card over the phone for payment. I was told the order would be ready in about 20 to 25 minutes and received a text in about that amount of time.I picked up my order and when I asked if there were reheating instructions was told no. I do think the customer service could be a little friendlier. Anyway, I checked that everything was there and left. Food smelled good on the drive home too.Fast forward to TG day. I decided to heat it up in the oven instead of the microwave. I was excited to eat but the food left me underwhelmed. First off why in the world they put the gravy on the turkey knowing people would be reheating it the next day, I don't know. It seemed to create a plastic like seal after reheating. Kinda gross looking. Overall the food had just a little flavor but I was expecting more for a restaurant like Della J's. I tried not to add salt but once I did, things tasted a little better (and I'm not one to overly salt my food). Out of everything, the best were the sweet potatoes and the cranberry sauce. I've had brisket elsewhere and this one seemed to be cooked in a bbq-like sauce that was just ok. The most disappointing was the Mac & cheese. Very very greasy and also lacked flavor. The cornbread was dry, but after using butter and sprinkling with salt, it tasted better.I hate to say it but Della J's did not satisfy my TG food craving."
"Considering how crazy packed this week was-FP's service was perfect. We met friends for drinks before heading out for dinner. The location was loud-and I loved it"

"Cousins wanted to come here since their local Korean Fried Chicken place closed and it was such a good choice! Upfront, parking is really limited, it shares a lot with other businesses. The restaurant is medium sized but the service was excellent. Sat down and ordered two orders of fried chicken and some truffle fries, wings and rice. Everything was delicious and really filling! I haven't had Korean chicken in a while, so I was really excited to come here when we don't have many choices in Michigan. Definitely recommend for price and taste!"
"If you're on the hunt for some truly mouthwatering takeout, look no further than DCity Smokehouse! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with friendly smiles and quick service that makes you feel right at home. The outdoor seating area captures a lovely vibe, perfect for those who prefer to dine al fresco, while the cozy interior beckons patrons to relax and enjoy their meal. Now, let's talk about the food-oh my, the aroma is intoxicating! I was so excited to dig in that I completely forgot to snap any pictures before devouring it (and I promise, that's saying something!). We indulged in a feast of smoked wings, brisket, and ribs, accompanied by creamy mac and cheese, flavorful smoked collard greens, and rich baked beans. Each bite was a celebration of well-seasoned, tender goodness that left us craving more. We couldn't resist ordering some sweet tea to our spread. Everything was simply divine!"
"BEST CHICKEN WINGS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Seriously, this place is the BEST! They don't even have a restaurant. It's a carryout only place and SUPER casual. You place your order at the front, specifying the type of chicken, with bones or boneless, and the dipping sauce.I ordered the spicy garlic wings (10 of them), while my fiancé ordered the honey bbq (10 of them as well). We both ordered ranch sauce with it, but they honestly don't even need sauce - they're ambrosial on their own!HOLY COW (or chicken, rather). Each one of those chicken wings were absolutely divine. I ate every single last one, despite being very full! The spicy garlic was absolutely perfect. This place is conveniently located on Wisconsin Ave in Georgetown and I am jealous of everyone living near there. If I lived close by, I'd be getting Wingo's to go at least twice a week!! You place your order and either wait outside on a bench or you can walk around (generally takes around 10-15 minutes for your food to be ready). We opted to walk to a bookstore nearby while we waited.Oh. My. God. The best wings ever. I'm not even kidding. This place is extraordinary. Heaven!"
"Utterly surprised I don't already have a review for one of my fav spots in DC! Kochix is a locally-owned Korean fried chicken spot. This should become one of your regular spots for ordering out.Their drumsticks and wings are ginormous and delicious. My go-to orders are the 10 wings, half hot honey spicy and half honey lemon pepper. They're always nice and crisp and easily heated up for a future meal in my air fryer. I don't love their fries, but their onion rings are tasty. Even better are their corn nuggets! They're corn fritters with whole corn inside, a corn lovers dream lolThis is a crowd pleaser as I've served them to friends and coworkers. Alas, there isn't really space to eat here aside from a short counter against a wall. It's located near the corner of Rhode Island and Florida, so not the most scenic corner of the city, but very much worth the trip or delivery order!"
"Ordered to go and the order was well packed and still warm when we picked up! We ordered the cheese chicken which was very cheesy I must warn. Not a light dusting but coated in cheese powder. The half and half is definitely the way to go. Wish they had a plain fried option more apparent too."
"Delivery order but had to hop on yelp to say that the burger was good but the wings... wow. Got boneless ghost pepper because I needed something spicy and boy did I get it. It's a slow burn so you can actually taste all the flavor in the sauce which was AWESOME. I'm going to pay for this later but this was the first time in a long time the heat got me! Definitely going back to try their other flavors because these were THAT good."
"Have been here a few times and was surprised I had not reviewed it. It's the place to satisfy my occasional burger craving. Came during the week for lunch. It was not busy which surprises me because it is so good. Lots of TVs all on different channels. I got the cheeseburger with blue cheese, extra lettuce, and done medium. My friend also got a burger. We also ordered the cheesesteak (without peppers) out of curiosity. The burger was nearly perfect (cheese wasn't evenly distributed). It had a lot of meat and cheese and lettuce. And the fries delicious; Crunchy and thin but not too thin. Here is the crazy part- the cheesesteak was awesome! Didn't see that coming at all! Wow. The cheese was evenly distributed throughout the meet. Roll perfect fresh and chewiness. OMG- so happy I made this discovery. My waistline may never be the same."
"Found this spot recently and have quickly become obsessed with the chicken wings. The burgers are solid and the fries are good but the chicken wings still the show so crispy. I've dined in once and the staff was very friendly even though the place doesn't look like much! I have ordered out a couple times since then and it has been consistently amazing!"
"The food overall was good. Service , you order and get your own food , seat yourself & take care of yourself. Their lemonade was absolutely AMAZING. Waffle , was bland need to add something to the batter The chicken was good but wings were smallChicken tenders were seasoned better than the wings and were cooked PERFECTLY . Location , decent , they stayed pretty busy the entire time we were there. Overall, I'd come back we were in town visiting & found the place on a whim. Better than fast food. The overall appearance of the inside of the restaurant was nice , worn on the seats but I could care less as long at my food was good which it was."
"Got a quick take out order while visiting the area for a couple people. Got one of the family combos that come with a whole chicken and a couple sides. The chicken itself was flavorful and moist, really hit the spot. There were no complaints. Never had what I think is a traditional "green beans with egg", so ordered that as a side. Definitely different but very flavorful.Service was easy and friendly. I did not wait too long for a big order. Inside was very busy with happy customers. 100% recommend"

Hands Down, one of our favorite places!!! My wife and I literally try to find an excuse to go!! The music is always a vibe, the service is always nice, and better yet, the food is ALWAYS good!!! We have a fantastic time, each time we visit. We love the fact that we don't have to question if the food will be good or not because we know that consistency is the heartbeat of Della J's.We also appreciate the Black History Figures that are attached to some of the seating (i.e., booths). The food is always good (10/10) and we haven't had a bad experience yet. Della J's is always the place we loving bringing our family and friends to! We will certainly be back! Our favorite dishes are in the pictures, but their beverages be good too! That lemonade & Arnold Palmer is -- LIKE THAT!

I've never dined in but have grabbed take-out several times from here. Their chicken is freaking DELICIOUS. I always get the soy garlic spring onion style. The spring onions is addictive & fresh, especially pair with the delectable crispy chicken. The soy garlic sauce is perfectly balanced between salty, spicy & sweet & I find it less sweet than the sauce at Chi Mc or Bon Chon. The most recent time I picked up, there was a big ol' rat just prancing around the dining area. Other people waiting for pick up saw & mentioned it to the waiter & he didn't seem to care much (meaning they obviously know of the issue!). Yikes. Love their food but likely won't be back. As I was leaving, I noticed the large dumpster for the shopping area right behind where Choong Man is situated so I don't think the issue can be properly controlled because the trash will just continue attracting rats.

I've ordered here twice, both times I got the smoked wings. They are so good and filling. I've ordered the dozen size with a side of fries and can't manage to eat it all in one sitting. The cilantro ranch is a nice touch, but the sweet bbq sauce takes the cake. I've only had it delivered via uber eats, and the food always arrived fresh and warm.

Woot, Woot! Five stars for a fun, local wing shop with tons of sauces, fast delivery and reasonable prices. My husband and I ordered delivery from Wingo's on a Saturday. It was really easy and their website lets you customize your order. Our food was also delivered promptly.I ordered a ten piece boneless wing (called the "personal order") with the Bite Me sauce. The Bite Me sauce is their hottest sauce and it lives up to the hype! Very spicy. The boneless wings are also very large and ten is a ton of food.My husband also ordered wings and an Italian sandwich. He really enjoyed both. They have a lot of fun menu options. My only criticism is that they don't offer carrots, just celery. I also suggest you use your own ranch as theirs is not made in-house.Overall, Wingos is a great wing joint with convenient delivery options!

LOVE Kochix! I crave these wings often. Ordered on DoorDash but have also been to pick up an order on my own after that. The wings are a great size, as a ton of wing places are skimping and giving you the tiniest scrawny little wings. They're so crunchy and the sauces are good, definitely recommend the honey lemon pepper and soy garlic. They're not your typical wing joint chicken wings as they're more Korean style. Love the wings and will be ordering again in the future! If you want to grab them, be warned not a lot of parking in Shaw and no indoor seating or anything, just a counter. Great quality though!

Hands down best Korean fried chicken place in the area. I used to go to the Bonchon in Arlington (Pershing) but either due to COVID or other reasons there chicken shrunk significantly and it just doesn't tastes as good.Chi Mc's chicken however are hearty and taste amazing. The double frying definitely helps add a crispy outer layer while retaining the moisture inside the chicken. It's super filling and I've yet to find another place that can match. Their spicy one definitely has a kick but it's hard to put down. ONLY DOWNSIDE is it will take 40 min if not longer from when you order til when you get your chicken. And I mean a whole 40 minutes. They make it to order and the double frying from raw takes a while. The pay off is definitely worth it but plan accordingly We've also had their Cajun Fries, Tteokbokki, and jalapeño poppers. All were great starters with a ice cold pitcher of beer.

"My family used to go to China Star regularly. When Chef Yan took its place, we were a bit worried; however, it hasn't skipped a beat. Chef Yan is easily the best Szechuan-style Chinese restaurant in the DMV (Mama Chang's doesn't hold a candle to Chef Yan). Pretty much everything we order is fantastic and the sheer number of menu items makes it that much more impressive. There are easily 20-30 amazing dishes on this menu. During our most recent visit, we stuck to the seafood, ordering the Chongqing fish and the fish and tofu in chili oil. Both were excellent -- very spicy -- and right up there with the dishes we normally order here. Anyone giving Chef Yan less than 4 stars doesn't have a clue!"
"This place has been consistent for me for years.Wings are always decently sized, very saucy, and generous with the two ranches per order. I order from other wing spots and get so disappointed because they are never consistent. The variety of flavors are a bonus as well. Only negative thing I've experienced here was one of the Mongolian staff said something real out of pocket to me regarding my ethnicity, but I'll let it slide because the wings are so good haha When I order wings for delivery - it's always Wingo's!"
"This place was on point. We were out and about and craving some late night pizza and I remember seeing this place on Instagram and it was not disappointing at all. It was so good. We devoured it in the car. NY style, thin and the sauce was just right! Bonus points to this place for being open 24 hrs. I got a humongous slice of cheese pizza. I cannot even describe how huge it was. You only need one slice for a late night craving. Trust!!"
"This was recommended to me by a few Korean friends. They said this would be a comfort food experience and it was. It was a single host/waiter/server but he was very attentive. The food was great. We ordered family style to sample everything. You must start with the Sweet Potato dumplings. Also if you like spicy get the Holic TopPoki appetizer. We enjoyed the Bulgogi Rice, spicy and sweet chicken, and a bowl of ramen. This quaint little place will be our go to for Korean!"
"I've left a review of this place before. My takeaway has always been that it's better than a chain. Nothing crazy good, but nothing bad at all. You get consistent quality and the prices are fair. What I love about this place is customization. I can ask for extra toppings or omit toppings and they always get it right. I will say, if you order delivery, it will take a looooong time. They are popular and busy. Pickup is the way to go unless you're on ordering at 7pm on a Saturday and getting it at 9pm (although miraculously the food is still nice and hot). I think I can understand some of the delivery complaints. Pickup is the way to go. As for staff friendliness, I find the staff ridiculously friendly. During the height of Covid they'd even put the food in my trunk. I love this place and have been ordering consistently for 5 years now."
"Come for the Guinness, stay for the wings. We stopped in late night for some beers and snacks. Service was fast and friendly. We got an order of wings and some shepherd's pie. The wings were top notch! We just got the standard buffalo wings and they were just the right size, well cooked and very saucey. The sauce is great because it's a bit of a unique twist on buffalo. It's nice when every place does not have the same mix of Red Hot and Butter (this was not). So, wings fit the bill. Very salty and spicy if I recall (it was late) and want to come back again soon.My friends enjoyed the shepherd's pie, but it wasn't the best I've had. The beef was kind of mild and the potatoes were not crisped on the top. However, a solid home made offering that you can season as you like and I suppose you can order it "crispy" to make sure it comes out that way. Yeah, I'd order it again."
"Came in for an early dinner. We ordered the snow onion garlic tenders and they were amazing. So crispy and they had a little spice to them. We also had the Tender Tikku Garlic Soy. It was equally as good. The service was excellent and quick. Seems like most people take food to go as opposed to dining in. We definitely will be back."
"Really enjoyed my visit here. They make everything fresh to order so be prepared to wait 10+ minutes to get your food, but I promise it's worth it! I opted for a mambo number three sandwich which came with slaw and a tasty sauce. I also got fries and dill pickles on the side. The sandwiches are comprised of three chicken tenders as well as the toppings. I liked the balance of the coleslaw to add some freshness. The fries were great! And the pickles were good as well."
"Delicious pizza. Having moved from CT last year, this is the closest pizza I've found in DC that can compare.Wings were good too."
"Wow! just WOW truly! Amazing music, one of a kind welcoming pizza shop! When you first step in you, A lovely whiff of middle Manhattan just slaps you in the face!! The pizza is made from scratch with a classic oven that creates the magic! Not to mention masterclass hospitality as soon as you decide to open your mouth! Insane how I would drive past it every Sunday for church but glad to come across this hidden gem in Falls Church! Big shoutout to Chef Joe who made my first time here as memorable as possible! (If you couldn't tell already )Just tell them Enzo sent you!"
"Located conveniently on H street for your post drinking munchies or whenever you want fried chicken. Plenty of outdoor seating with tables spaced pretty well too.You can never go wrong with the original Choong Man chicken! It is to die for. Perfectly crispy and not too salty or overwhelming with flavors. The service is fast and all of the staff is really friendly. I'm not personally a huge fan of the ones with sauce, but they aren't bad. I've been here four of five times now and will keep going back"
"Amazing pizza! Happy that my friend recommended it.The ingredients were fresh. Delivery was quick. The visit exceeded my expectations"
"Exploring the area around GMU.Good service, decent food. Typical of most sports bars: a little loud, lots of TVs, kitschy decor.Tried the fried chicken BLT - generous portion. Delicious but rather dry. Could have used more sauce, seasoning.Onion rings = great. Fries not so much. Large selection of beers!Best part really was the friendly, welcoming, attentive staff."
"A decent BBQ option in Bethesda. Lots of craft beers to choose from and a varied menu. Be aware that you order at the counter then go have a seat. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich along with some appetizers. Mozzarella sticks were very good, mac and cheese was decent and the pulled pork didn't disappoint. If you're used to more authentic BBQ you probably won't be a fan."
"This restaurant is more of a fast casual spot that serves chicken, breakfast, & Mexican plates. I had the best meal here for just arriving to the area. It was exactly what i needed and i went home so happy after eating here. My chicken fajita came out steaming and had all the toppings and sides. It lowkey felt like a plate my mom would make me which was super nostalgic. The service was friendly & the food didn't take too long. I would def check out this spot. From the outside view, it doesn't look too promising but i promise it's worth it !"
"It's an underrated hidden gem. It's a local neighborhood, hole in the wall. The interior is nothing special. But the folks at the front desk makes you feel warm. Food wise, everything we've ordered we liked and you definitely get your money's worth. Would recommend checking out."
"I found another good Chinese place! Even though the photos of the place doesn't look that appealing, the food was REALLY GOOD! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered:General Tso's Chicken - perfectly cooked even the day after. Still had that crunchiness. Egg drop soup - so good I ate it all and I never finish my egg drop soups whenever I order this. Beef & Broccoli - this sauce was bomb and was so flavorfulCrab Rangoons - the cream cheese & crab ratio was bingo! It came with sauce on the side but you really don't need it because it already has lots of flavor! The dishes came with white rice and it tasted the same the day after. Sometimes when I order from Chinese the rice doesn't taste good the next day,but it's different here! Definitely will order from here again! Thanks Micky's!! :D"
"Great portions, friendly staff, and the kind of hours that a Jamaican spot ought to have. Glad I found this place and I look forward to returning. They even had a spot for me to do an impromptu photo shoot while we waited!"
"I had such a lovely time grabbing a drink and small bite to eat here. The customer service was fantastic and the food (Parmesan cheese fries) were really good. The inside was very clean, upbeat, and well put together. Such a great ambiance! The lemonade was a recommendation from the staff and it was a hit!!! I will definitely be returning again."
"Had a combo of broccoli with garlic sauce, egg roll, and fried rice. There wasn't enough garlic sauce on the broccoli so it was a little dry, and the rice was good almost seemed a little too healthy in that it wasn't greasy enough like you expect fried rice to have that little edge. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it was very fluffy rice not like fried rice. The egg roll was good. The crispy noodles that I got were not real crispy noodles that you would dip in Duck Sauce they were even packaged in a see-through bag. I've never seen that before. All in all though since I am traveling and was staying in a hotel, and delivery was prompt and the food was decent I give it four stars."
"I pass by this spot all the time and the smells finally won me over! The chicken is cooked to perfection! I got a 1/4 dark and it was some of the juiciest I've ever had. I thought it might be just because they had just opened up for the day but I went back the next day at a later time and the chicken was just as fresh. The yuca is delicious here and seems like they always have some fresh out of the fryer. The sauces are all tasty and I can't pick a favorite. This place is the real deal! I'll be back soon"
"This Korean fried chicken spot is a solid cheat-day pick! I ordered the half-and-half whole chicken (original and hot spicy). They cut the breast into wing-sized pieces, which I didn't mind. The original was my favorite--crispy, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The hot spicy had good flavor but didn't win me over as much. The cheese ddeok-bokki was indulgent and packed with salty, sweet, spicy, cheesy goodness--definitely a comfort food splurge. I didn't care too much for the side radish but its radish. A whole chicken easily feeds 2-4 people. I was stuffed after just three pieces and some ddeok-bokki."
"So Wings 21 is the wing spot that's most convenient for me. The service is usually good and they are usually accommodating. This is one of the few spots that allow you to order all flats...or all drums if you're into that sort of thing (even though this visit they didn't allow me to order all flats...what a let down). I tried 3 of their most popular flavors this visit (I really like their hot bbq flavor). The wings were a good size, well sauced, but just a little soggy (the wet sauced wings). The moon dust is decent, but they weren't evenly seasoned (some had almost no seasoning, some had wayyyy too much). But overall it was a decent experience. Their fries suck, but the wings are decent. 7/10"
