"Bakers dozen was really good.I almost missed the building.Friendly guys in window. We found a new close crab place."
"Full disclosure: I was pretty hungover when I ordered from this spot in the Union Market. I was seeking something to fill my stomach fast, and DC Mediterranean Corner was the only open business that didn't have a line. I gave myself no time to review the menu. I ordered the first item I saw on the board, the falafel, and prayed for a quick assembly. The cook followed through, but when I unwrapped my foil covered-bundle I immediately kicked myself for being so rash. It was a sad-looking pita with a pink slice of tomato, wimpy lettuce, and lukewarm balls of falafel with a splash of white sauce. WOMP WOMP. As someone who prides herself in her food choices, I was a disappointment to foodies everywhere.Don't make the same mistake I did. Suck it up and stand in line for an extra 10 minutes at the biscuit place."

"We ordered takeout and got the butter chicken, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas. The butter chicken was AMAZING! The chicken melts in your mouth. Many other places only focus on the sauce and not the quality of the chicken (dry). This chicken was so moist, it changed my world. The samosas were great as well. The naan was nothing special, and the portions were a bit small for the price. Definitely will be returning and trying other dishes as well! Forgot to take pictures because I was so hungry :D"
"Two Island Bwoyz has such good food. I've enjoyed their tasty vittles at family and friend parties and have never been disappointed. Their bbq chicken is finger licken good (what is in the addictive sauce?!) and their jerk wings bring on the sweet heat. And they just might make the best lentils I've ever had. Portions are generous and prices are right. Highly recommended."
"This is a cute neighborhood shop with a robust and tasty sandwich counter that, as a sandwich lover, I wish I could find more of in Northern VA. The staff is super friendly and there is a great selection of products and brands to choose from.I also love that it's near downtown Bethesda, but just on the edge so that you don't have to get mixed up in the chaotic downtown traffic."
"Coming back to say still really love the food here. My favorite is definitely the curry goat stew (that had now been permanently added to the menu). I also had the prime roast for my Christmas dinner and it was soooo good! Everyone loved it! The customer service is always amazing. Peter, who I normally speak with, is soo accommodating and and all around awesome. Pro Tip: I would call ahead and order ahead so you can grab your food when you get there. Items I would recommend: Capitol Hill Crab Cakes Curry Goat StewChicken Sandwich"
"I stumbled across Hardy's on Yelp after searching for halal food in Bethesda. Halal BBQ? I didn't believe it so I sent the owner (Corrie) a message and he confirmed the chicken wings and beef is halal. The food truck is available in Bethesda on Saturdays between 11:30am - 2:00pm and is weather permitting. We missed our opportunity last week but today we struck gold. My wife (who only eats halal) and I ventured downtown and ordered enough food to feed a small army. We tried the beef brisket sandwich, pastrami sandwich, half chicken, chicken wings, potato salad, and slaw. When ordering we were told some really helpful instructions on how to heat the food up when we got home. Basically if you aren't eating at the truck they want to make sure you get the best experience when you get home. After getting home we indulged in some of the best BBQ I've ever had. The level of smokiness on the meats is something you only hear about on Food Network but honestly, it's been six hours since we ate and my house still has a smoky aroma. My favorite dish ended up being the wings, which by the way are massive. If you think you are going to get some wimpy nugget-sized wings be warned, these were huge! Make sure you ask for both the spicy and sweet sauce when you order because both are delicious and I can't decide which one I like better. This is my new go-to place for halal eaters, in fact I'll be sending a few texts out tonight to spread the word."
"Came here for the first time and it was interesting finding the place. They're located in the very back of a 7 eleven in a small warehouse like building. There's no sign outside that tells you this is the place, that's because this appears to be a shared kitchen with other restaurants, four in total. Well, the ordering and payment is all done online or by using a tablet ordering system located inside. Just browse through the menu, place your order and pay. Afterwards you receive a text msg. with a pickup time. They have these lockers that hold your food and when the order is ready you get it from the locker's. Very simple, totally contacless and little human interaction. I got the "titi favorite plate" with choices of rice, stewed beef and tostones. I also ordered one beef empanada just incase. The food was very good 7.8/10, it had that home cooked taste and the portion was just right. Easily for two meals if you're not greedy like me. I definitely would return to try their pernil/pork butt and their mofongo balls."
"Flama on wheels is a new-ish food truck that roams around DC. We stumbled upon it this week in Metro Center, thanks to the tasty samples they were giving. They say generally they are a "Latin American" food truck, but if you dig deeper you uncover that they are Puerto Rican influenced. All of the employees are super nice and friendly. $10 gets you a big sandwich, chips and a soda, not a bad deal at all. The tripleta I got was super tasty and filling! I will definetly be back!"
"I ordinarily get the Rockland's burger. The quality of its signature dish is still high. However, this time when I paid for the meal with a credit card then paid tip with cash--I noticed my burger arrived last. I think the service could be more expeditious or handled in order."

Great customer service, friendly staff. Crabs are delicious there female crabs where 29 a dozen. They had large crabs 79 a dozen. That was to expensive for my taste. We ask to see the mixed males they where 49 a dozen. The only down sidewas the mixed male crab was already cooked and was cold. This made me believe the crabs are cooked in advance then heated when you order. They don't take call in orders. I gave 4 stars because my crabs where tasty.

Not bad. If I could write two reviews for different aspects I would...Food:They operate with a George Foreman, and microwave. I ordered a chicken shawarma (no clue how to spell it correctly) and it took a long time.... The pita bread was fresh, but the chicken was a little dry, the sauce was a little too salty, and so were the pickled vegetables. The falafel and everything in the display is already made and just heated to order... So it's not really fresh. Fresh out of the fryer is always best.Desserts:Amazing array of desserts, and staff was very knowledgeable and informative when asked questions. The traditional baklava was amazing, and I also got a Burma pistachio one doused in honey. AmazingShop:They also have good looking hummus, baba ganoush, pita chips and fresh pita for purchase. I tried this yogurt drink which was pretty good. Overall:Definitely will stop back to try some more sweets and other goods, will not count on eating my meal here though.

Solid neighborhood Indian carry-out. I'm not sure why Sundara doesn't have more reviews (it's not just catering, it's actually a carry-out restaurant, with decent Google reviews) so hoping to remedy that. They use the VFW space, but you can order carry out. It's not the best Indian food I've ever had but it's decent for when you're craving chicken tikka masala and the portions are very large (larger than many of the Indian restaurants nearby). This reminds me of what Delhi Dhaba used to be, before they increased their prices and decreased their quality.

Its not even that cold and I have already started in with the soups. Their corn soup is sooo good but vegetarians beware - make sure you request the veggie version.

The irony, I started this review on 11/4/2015 & never published it...this makes it easier for my update:Today's Review:My co-worker was heading over to BF&B to pick up some items & asked if I wanted to ride along. I obliged as I was in need of some comfort snacks. To avoid reiteration, the context in my draft remains the same, in addition to noting the positive customer service is still present. If you want a fresh sandwich - they can provide, fresh fruits & cheese - they can provide, something sweet from the bakery - they can provide, a salad by the pound - they can provide & other edible goodies to provide. They also serve breakfast. & as I found out by surprise, BF&B makes personalized wine baskets for any occasion. They do offer delivery - prices varies. Whether your need is a variety of beers, wine, food, candy, condiments or gifts, Bradley Food & Beverage is your one stop shop. Draft Review:An unexpected trip here after work, surely paid off & I don't know where to start. As soon as I walked in there was a Wine Tasting...oh my, such a pleasant sight for my vino eyes to see. After exuding not so proper etiquette in having 2 rounds of the wine tasting, I was in full effect in scoping out the place, next stop was the deli area, yes with a bottle in tow. They had everything from antipasto, various salads, entrée's, cold cuts, cheese galore, party platters, salads, made to order sandwiches and even veggie options. The Deli Guy was such a trooper even with the slight language barrier between us as we spent a few minutes trying to determine if the olives were cheese free, as the concoction looked good. It took the Co-Owner to chime in with a hefty smile & go in taste mode for me. Drumroll...yes, there was slivers of parmesan cheese throughout, but hey thanks for sampling for me!I then made my way to the back right corner of the store to where the bakery is. & kinds thanks to the Lady Chef Baker for knowing what was vegan - vegetarian friendly or not right off the tip of her Chef's Hat.The next section I ventured to was the variety of dry foods, then can goods & my favorite, peppers, seasonings & spreads...so much to choose from. After a good 5 minutes of foodie perusing, I picked up some Capers, Sweet & Spicy Peppers & an Artichoke spread. I was on my way to check out & what was that, that caught the corner of my left eye? It was a display of chocolate in a rich looking wrapper...perhaps, possibly, could it be VEGAN? Yes sir, I picked up the package, turned it over & yeah baby, it is 100% on the Vegan! I grabbed a bar or few, the bottle of wine I selected from my over indulgence of tasting, added to my other items & was good to go. While I was checking out, I was invited to sign up for their email blast, so I can be in the know of their weekly wine/food tasting events. Posted events were for Thursdays, Fridays & Sundays, may change. Fantastic prices for a store of massive items of different palate preferences, the wine selection is pretty darn good for the size of the market & again, the confection & bakery selection is a sweet tooth heaven.

Just FANTASTIC. Had whiting, chicken stew, bread pudding and ginger beer with sides. Ghanan Chef- very nice. Whole in the wall with 4 tables, and Ghanan decor. Can't wait to come try the other stuff. Everything is made to order so may take 20min assuming lots of people aren't ahead of you. Again, just fantastic. Went here after kayaking from Anacostia park.

I've eaten at this food truck in Bethesda twice so far. Once I got food to go, and the 2nd time I ate at the outdoor set up they had outside the truck (2 tables and chairs under a tent). Cozy & the perfect place to people watch.I paid $12 for 2 ribs and 2 chicken wings with French fries. Delicious! Well priced for the awesome flavor. The only con was that my cream soda was luke warm at best; which wasn't good for such a hot day.

I ordered food from this restaurant at the Four Mile Food Co. I only wanted some protein, not a whole meal, and was happy to see a side of pernil on the menu. It was a sizeable amount of flavorful and tender meat. I added a side of tostones. This was quite a large order that I couldn't even finish. All in all, a good option at this restaurant co-op.

"The food here was good, but the menu that seems to be featured on a lot of on line reviews is not accurate...the menu with Biblical names for the dishes is the old menu, not the current one. My family and I all got the cheeseburger and fries. The burger was good, the fries were great. After seeing the chicken tenders at other tables I regretted my burger decision...the tenders looked amazing!"
"Amazing time here! Greeted by Femi and he was amazing. Super attentive, knowledgeable and guided us through the pairing of the food we ordered. The vibe is afrobeats mixed with a homestyle eat with comfort setting. We tried goat stew, egusi soup with fufu, cowskin stew, samosas and peanut butter soup. When i tell you everything was seasoned to the core, i mean it! Everything could be your favorite. The cowskin stew was mine or maybe the goat stew. See, i cant decide. I highly recommend this spot. You will not be dissatisfied in the food. 5/5. Highly recommend."
"It's no easy decision opening a food truck just a week after new regulations are added that finally force customers to pay taxes on your sales, along with the cooling temperatures outside...and if my decline of mobile eatery mentions is any indication the sun has set on the first peak of the DC food truck scene that lasted a good two years before its eventual decline. Nevertheless, there are still some pioneers out there coming up with new truck ideas that DC hasn't yet seen and actually executing them well. Ooh Dat Chicken Truck is one of those few, hitting the market at the beginning of the fall season with beautiful rotisserie roasted chickens and a nice assortment of side dishes.I had to walk home on Friday during lunch to take my "shared custody" dog Bocuse out for a walk, since I was watching her over the weekend and never know what she'll get into when I'm not around, when I happened to spot this truck with its crazy paneling reminiscent of a juiced up Virginia Tech "Hokie" bird. It was definitely a new one for me in a park usually filled with familiar offerings, so I sauntered over was shocked to find a couple dozen succulent looking birds spinning on their rotisserie oven. I was sold at the sight of them. They might not have the intoxicated charcoal smokey smell as the Peruvian joints that dot this area, but they had a really nice glaze, alluding to a flavorful skin with moist meat underneath.Normally I wouldn't have given a second thought to ordering the half a chicken, but since I had to walk up 14th Street while eating I figured I should stick to the quarter to make the container slightly more manageable. The size of the chicken provided could certainly be more generous, but it wasn't so small that it's worth knocking much in rating. I did appreciate the fact that their meal comes with two sides as well (for a total around $7.50 after tax), helping people at least have the option of eating slightly healthier options than just a lot of meat in a bun (which if you do want you can happily get at the Carnivore truck). The chicken lived up to my expectations and was pleasantly juicy inside, although I did expect just a bit more kick from the flavor of the skin, given their mention of Aji peppers and cumin in the spice rub. The roasted corn also didn't have much of the poblano flavor that was advertised, but the potato salad was a surprising hit. The creaminess was just right, and even though it had raw onions (which I normally hate) they didn't overpower the flavor at all.The guys operating the truck were incredibly nice and not pushy at all considering they had just opened. I really like the freshness of the food here and to give it some sort of comparison, imagine the food that Boston Market produces except actually done well, and for less, and that should give you a good starting point. Thankfully they also accept credit cards, so those new tax laws shouldn't have you worried about carrying around a lot of unnecessary pocket change after ordering here."
"Pretty sure these were the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. You know how you have a thought of what you want to eat, then smell something else and completely change? I was driving with the windows down and caught the BBQ smell and immediately knew I had to have it so I turned around. Only problem was, I couldn't find the place. there's no huge BBQ pit out front, just amazing smells (look for the wood pile). After finding it and parking, I entered the regular looking door and found that it's mainly a catering operation that allows you to call in or order there and takeout orders. I got three brisket breakfast tacos. As weird as it sounds, when I opened the container, the tacos were beautiful. Like...the presentation was on point. Maybe I was just hungry. But they were amazing. From the pico, to the potatoes, to the brisket, then adding the sauce on top, it was so good. This place is definitely worth your time, give them a visit."
"We ordered from here for the second time and once again, we were NOT disappointed! This place is amazing! We have had every kind of the arepas (including the 2 vegan options) as well as the tequenos and empanadas. Everything we've had from here has been great. The sauce sent with the food is perhaps the most amazing part of the meal. This last time we ordered for 6 people. You cannot beat this food or their prices. The food was delivered fresh and, unfortunately, we ate before pictures could be taken so here is a photo of one of the arepas the next day when we ate it warmed up, still delicious by the way! I highly recommend this restaurant!"
"Nick literally saved me from a burning building. They train their employees right here. Love Nick"
"Thank you Thank you indeed! I mean, what a delicious pair of sandwiches we had here. Like others said, definitely not cheap, but you can't argue with the flavors, and being from out of town... everything here looks stupid expensive to me, so I just bit down into it and enjoyed. We got two sandwiches and exchanged halves, definitely the way to do it. One of them was the chopped Italian, and the others was a custom cheesesteak. The chopped Italian was a phenomenal sandwich. I could have ordered another one right then and there even though I was pretty full, the flavors were just so good. The chopped sandwich trend is popular for a reason, because every bite just has everything so well incorporated. Topped with some really flavor parmesan cheese and on their delicious bread... magnificent. The steak cheese was quite good, just completely outshined by our other sandwich. The homemade cheese whiz set it apart, honestly, I could have just had a big bowl of that cheese with their bread for dipping and been very happy. In the end, very happy with the sandwich, and if the only reason it wasn't my favorite was because another outshined it... no reason to knock it."
"Wow, it's been a minute since my first visit, but let me tell you, this place is the real deal! You gotta run, not walk, to experience it for yourself! I recently celebrated my good good girlfriend's birthday here and everything was absolutely amazing. The service was top-notch, I mean GREAT! The food was out of this world, DELICIOUS! And the creativity in every dish was simply AMAZING! We had a blast with the bubbly flowing, delicious food, and endless laughs! It was truly an unforgettable experience. Trust me, you won't regret it! Tell them T-Mac sent ya!"
"Oof, just thinking about the meal I had from Zoe's gives me starry eyes and hunger pangs. Absolutely delicious with great customer service! I caught up with Zoe's Vegan Delight when they were serving up their delicious eats at the 2019 DC VegFest at the Nats Stadium. The place was packed and the line was long, but I totally get it - the food was amazing. I went with the bacon mac and cheese, kale salad, and crab cakes and I regret nothing. The mac and cheese had phenomenal flavor with a nice savory kick from the faux bacon. The kale salad felt fresh with the right balance of dressing - not too overbearing so the kale still had a nice crunch. And those crab cakes - goodness gracious, do yourself a favor and grab an order as soon as you can. The texture are great and the crisp breadcrumbs of the exterior added to it. It came with a sauce that kicked it up a notch. I still think about those crab cakes with loving respect. And before I forget - they were also serving up homemade pineapple punch. Whoa, nelly! Perfect balance to the meal and super refreshing in the heat. I'm eager to pop out to Eastern Market and grab my next round of Zoe's. I highly recommend the food and the service was fast and friendly. What more can you ask for?!"
"I wish this place was closer to me because I really loved their Lengua tacos![Food: 4 of 5]Lengua Tacos- 5 of 5.. I mean.. Lengua tacos are my all time favorite tacos. These meat pieces were bigger than what you would typically get at *generic taco shop* - and they were soo juicy. I ordered 2 tacos that came out to a little over $7, to me, that's definitely worth it.Al Pastor Tacos - 1 of 5 - I really did not enjoy this taco at all. And..that's all I'll say about that.Carne Asada con queso - 5 of 5- I have never had flour tortilla tacos served with cheese! I honestly was taken aback when they asked if I wanted this with cheese or not. Eaten fresh, it's super toasty with the cheese melting and oozing. Even when we let the taco sit there for awhile and cheese had hardened, it still tasted so good.Pupusas con friojles y queso- 5 of 5 - The pupusas was nice and hot- The pupusa was over filled with beans (not that I'm complaining) - I wish the sauces given were spicy or had a kick (I love spicy). The pickled vegetables for the pupusas were fresh and tangy, paired very will with thier pupusa.Drinks: I did not get their frescas but they offered tamarind, horchata and... one more flavor but I can't remember. They had a large variety of sodas in their cooler, including Pepsi Zero products which I thought were awesome.[Service: 5 of 5]The person who helped us at the register was so friendly and helpful. He let us know about the Taco Tuesday deals and offered ice to us with our soda since it wasn't cold. [Ambiance: 3.5 of 5?] The place was very small, like maybe it was a mom and pop shop? It was just the kitchen and then 1 small table for 2 and a bar along the window with some stools. The place did not have a public bathroom (which kind of sucked for me, because I drove over an hour to come here and reeally needed to use it). There was no music playing when I went, so it was kind of nice just listening to the hussle and bussle of the stoves, and the chitter chatter of the guests at the restaurants. I hope to one day venture out to this part of MD again so that I could try "the best nachos in MD" and to get some more lengua tacos!"
"Typical hole I'm the wall with limited space to eat inside. There are a couple tables outside, but my guess is most people pick up and head home. Food quantity and quality were both awesome. My wife, my daughter, and I were all extremely happy and satisfied. I had plenty of time to order since it was a rainy day. The lady at the register gave me plenty of time and the food was ready shortly after I figured out what to order"
"Wandering around Union Market, this vendor caught my eyes so I gave them a try. An empanada costs $6 each, which is pretty steep in price. I did their 3 Empanada Combo ($17), although $1 in savings is not much, but allowed me to try a variety of their offerings. My favorite is the Argentinian Chorizo. The Beef Empanada is pretty standard from other empanadas I've had. The Chicken Empanada has some nice flavoring to it with bell peppers, onions, garlic & spices."
"Rose Ave is amazing. Just tried their Ube starfruit pastry, which was a little denser than the donuts (in a good way) and tasted amazing. I also had a black sesame donut and a passionfruit donut, which were also amazing and fluffy. I've also had the Saigon banana coffee in the past, which is also amazing.Recommend going on the earlier side if you can, the line is continuously out the door between 10-12p, and maybe earlier! It does move relatively quickly though"
"The food is GREAT!!!!!!!! The service is GREAT!!!!!!! The Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich is DELICIOUS. Got it with the fries. The fries are AMAZING! Can't wait to come in again."
