"Carolina Kitchen has been a staple in thr DC area for awhile. This is the first time I did delivery. The food was packaged thoughtfully for delivery, making sure my fried foods wouldnt get damaged. I can appreciate that. My only big grip was that i didnt get gravy with my mash potatoes. If I would have gone in person that would have been an option."

"Goodness, I think if I could eat the red beans & rice from Puddin everyday I would be set for life. This dish was so filling and a great portion size. I love that it was seasoned to perfection and the red bean and rice ratio was on point. Puddin is one of the businesses within Union Market doing their thang! The employees were very friendly and helpful when I stopped by. I would highly recommend the red beans and rice and their bread pudding it's so so goood. Support this Black owned business, they are holding it down with the southern food within the NoMa area. Thank you!"

You can dip your seafood into this sauce!Without the tip above, the food is only a 3.5/5 for me, but the sauce on the side to dip it in really elevates the seafood.All the seafood here is pretty decent, but I recommend the shrimp, snow crabs, and green mussels. Also get the oysters if you're into oysters! The raw oysters are pretty good here for AYCEThe total was a bit pricy for AYCE for two people so come ready to eat a lot if you're doing AYCE. Our total was around $130 for two people (before tip)."

"I experienced Miss Toya's Creole House the first time recently. I loved the music and aesthetic of the restaurant! A lot of space for big parties if you choose to go in a big group. I just went with my aunt! My Aunt got the sangria which was huge and she said very delicious it had a popsicle at the top for decoration which we thought was cute. I had the shrimp and grits and it was so good very flavorful the grits alone were too good but with the shrimp it took it to a whole different level! And it tastes good the next day I definitely recommend the shrimp and grits. I cannot wait to go back and try more items off their menu! Our server was so sweet and very attentive!"

"A small mom and pop shop. I've been going here 5+ years for authentic crawfish for years. We always order from them and the prices are extremely reasonable all year long. They are so nice and always tell the truth when you are ordering the wrong thing. They actually will suggest you order the cheaper bundles than make you pay a hefty price. We mostly get the garlic butter crawfish and it's always good quality and authentic."

"The restaurant is decorated very nicely for the theme- one of the kids said it reminded them of SpongeBob! We had several different boils which were all amazing- Blue crab, shrimp, crayfish, sausage. The shrimp po'boy was a hit! Large sandwich with plenty of sauce. The fried shrimp basket was large- plenty for one person and tasty. We also shared the hush puppies- and they were delicious!"

He talked up Kitchen Savages and said they had them too and that I could go to DC for them. Keeping his title as the "BEST" to do all things, he brought me here to immediately try them out. Whoa! Okay, okay, so let's be honest, Kitchen Savages is in the hood and it's NOT giving "hood" vibes. Inside the restaurant, it's quite impressive. They have IKEA plates (which are super cute) and the ambiance gives an allure of upscale. Employees hands down, professional and on point! Service is fantastic. Let's get into it!Chicken and Red Velvet Waffle - Alexa play, Can't get enough by Tamia. Oooooooooooooooooooweeeeeeeeeeeeeee! You all see the picture, it was delicious! Eggs - Yummy! Signature Seafood Deviled Eggs - Alexa play, Yes by Beyoncé. Ermahgerd, can you love food this way? I'm guilty! Cleans my drool as I'm writing this. Crab cake egg rolls - Alexa play, Faithfully by Journey. I'm going to give them kudos but not sure they beat my beloved BMore staple. Maybe I need more and another go round. Good but not the best I've ever had. Overall my handsome partner in crime does it again, "food", a love language that only taste buds could share! Yelpies, this place gets my stamp of approval but use caution and go during the day. Ladies you can dim your lights on attire. So badly want to give them 5 stars but the price for the area, I'm not sure I'd come back just for the food at this price point. Worth every penny just not in this location."

Seemed like a great place to check out if ever interested in a good day brunch outing. The food was good, I wish I took more pictures lol. I had the cream cajun breakfast scramble with crab meat. It was very tasty and filling. I would get it again if I ever were to go back. All in all I get this place a solid 8/10."

Both items were cold and asked for another serving of grits. The eggs were topped with crabmeat and shrimp. Unfortunately, it was much too salty for consumption. The others in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. All agreed that the eating utensils should be upgraded as what we used was of poor quality. I would definitely make a return visit and request no salt especially if you're already using Cajun spices."

Still, they do what they do and they do it well. The seafood boil is our favorite in this area. I prefer to be seated away from the bar since regulars make it loud and can be a bit obnoxious but otherwise it's an excellent spot."

I got a lot of bang for my buck. The hostess was very nice and attentive to my needs though they were not many. I will say that if you base your decision to go here on the reviews alone you will be missing out. I was blown away by one of the reviews that suggest the music should be changed to appease their needs. Well (insert eye-roll) it's a Mexican restaurant. The other review was that the waitresses did not know English that well. If that is your issue you don't want authentic."

"When I saw the coming soon sign and the mention of seafood, I knew this would be a spot I have to try! I finally had the chance to order today and absolutely loved my food. I got the snow crab legs, corn, and potatoes in garlic butter. The crab legs are large sized and the seasoning was perfect, not overpowering at all, just delicious. Eventhough I got my food to go, the interior decoration and cleanliness of the dinning area was beyond great. Plenty of space for adequate distancing and comfortable seating. For years, I have tried the overpriced Crab Boss in Brandywine and can say hands down the Urban Crab Shack wins in taste, quality of food, quality of service, and most importantly price. The location is in the shopping center next to Starbucks. I would certainly recommend !"

"This place has been open for several months now, and it's not far from my house. It's in that plaza right next to the IHOP right off of exit 20. It's literally hidden behind the trees. Every time I've been, it hasn't been too busy, but they have a lot of space! The first thing you see when you're walking up there is a sign with the daily specials, and their happy hour which is from 3:30-6:30 everyday. The daily specials mainly focus on food, while the happy hour is mainly drinks. I've had a margarita and few other cocktails there on multiple occasions and enjoyed it each time! The food I have had (wings and oysters) weren't bad either!I've always secured a spot at the bar, and didn't get too much of a look at the rest of the restaurant, but as I said earlier, it's spacious. There's been an upsurge in cajun seafood spots opening lately, and while I don't think this one will be at the top, I hope they do well and I owe them a visit soon!"

"It's really good!! I ordered the crab legs and shrimp boil and also the catfish basket. The boil was seasoned perfectly! Not overly salty, and the extra hot was not as hot as I was expecting, but it had a nice burn to it. The catfish was also really good. I used to drive to Maryland to get my crab boil fix, so im excited Boom Boom Crab is down the road from me. I'll definitely be coming back!"

"New to the neighborhood and had a taste for seafood so I gave this place a try. I ordered the Combo #3 and added green mussels with spicy legend sauce. First things first the seafood was really fresh and cooked really well! Everything in the bag was hot but wasn't mushy or falling apart. The legend sauce didn't really have a distinct flavor, but it's really well seasoned and well rounded, doesn't seem too buttery. Corn and potatoes were both good and not over cooked which was great. I ordered spicy but it wasn't spicy at all, so next time I'll give the extra spicy a try with the Cajun sauce. Overall I gave this place 4/5 stars for the fast delivery and good quality seafood. I'm not wowed by the legend sauce but again it's not bad at all. Will definitely be ordering again!"
