"Ambiance is amazing, very chilled and relaxed.Service: amazing staff. Very cordials!Food: incredible"
"First time in this place and I am loving the food! My most favorite is the grilled jumbo shrimp (with zucchini pesto and chili flakes sauce) and the pita slices with whipped feta dip. I would see myself bringing my partner here for a nice good dinner, another excuse to come back. The server was well presented and prepared, always ensure you are getting addressed. So customer service was fantastic. This is an indoor restaurant with bar and for sure anyone who would love to have a drink and bites would love the interior of this place. Also for drinks they offer variety including a pumpkin spiced espresso martini, whiskey pumpkin punch and apple pumpkin cider which was really good. Overall experience was great!"

"Food was great the yams off the chain. Fried chicken was good. No crowd ordered online and food was ready when I walked in the door."
"Are you looking for Mexican...or Indian cuisine? Well guess what if you can't choose then come here! They offer a mix of both! The style inside is more catered to Mexican style but is very colorful. They have amazing drinks, food and i have been here a few times and have always had wonderful customer service! Great place to bring your family or your date! All in all a great place to stop by and check out especially if everyone wants different options."
"We took advantage of the restaurant week dinner. She had the scallops in a coconut lime sauce, and enjoyed them. I had the octopus which had a perfect texture. Not too firm or rubbery which happens when they are overcooked. For entrees we shared a NY strip steak and the halibut. Portion size on both entrées was small, but both dishes were otherwise flawless. The steak had parsnip purée, Swiss chard , mushrooms, all in a pepper reduction. The fish had firm wheat berries, grilled leaks and fennel. We had a pear tart for dessert. It had poached pear which I found hard to taste, and almond tart that was nice. It was the least successful item we tried. Our other dessert was chocolate mousse that was very well done with a small amount of raspberry custard. The other components didn't contribute much.Despite small portions, the meal in its entirety was ample. Our room was well appointed. Service was excellent. 1789 will reward you with a first class dining experience."
"I had read a few reviews about this place and decided to come for dinner... As we walked in, there was a guy lounging on a chair right at the entrance, who asked us if we were looking to have dinner...we said Yes. He grabbed a couple of menus and showed us to a table....the odd thing is that he was not standing up waiting to greet people like most hosts would....but lounging....LOL.Luis was our server and he was very nice and attentive. We got some IPAs (delish) and some really good food...I got the salmon and my husband got the buttermilk fried chicken plate. Both were really well done and deliciously prepared. The portions were adequate..not huge...but not small either...Great place with a nice cozy vibe....located in an old brick and stone buidling..."
"Came to Mandu for a late night dinner and walked in around 8pm without a reservation and easily got a table. Service was extremely fast and attentive, as was getting food. We had a full dinner with drinks, apps, and dessert in a little over an hour but didn't feel at all rushed. To start we each had the green bee which is a fabulous basil forward vodka cocktail that comes in a beautiful couple style glass. The drinks is bright green and beautifully served plus it was delicious! For starters we had the steamed shrimp dumplings which were extremely tasty. It came with 6 pieces so perfect sharing size for two.For our main we each had the bibimbap which came out sizzling and was a great size! I took about half home. The bowl was hot, filling and full of flavor. It comes with a sauce but it well seasoned on its own and doesn't need the sauce. For dessert we had the "croiffel" which is a croissant that has been put in thr waffle iron I presume. It was served with a light banana creme and strawberries. It was a very fresh dessert and not too sweet, felt more like breakfast. The vibe is very cozy and chill. This is a great place for a meal on your own or with a friend. Service is fast and friendly.I can't wait to come back to try some of their bar-only food options."

"Mission at the Navy Yard stands within steps away from Washington Nationals Park. Prior to my visit, I do recognize other options were favored based on recent reviews, but I took the chance, and I do regret it. Be it an off day or the standard of service in this restaurant, Mission was not it for me. Disappointing. On the day of my visit, IDs were being checked at the door. And it went downhill from there. Arrived on the 2nd floor and was told service would be quicker sitting at the bar versus at the bartops. The bartenders on the day of our visit seemed really spaced out. It may be the combination of bombardment of crowds from the game and heat, it has been a while since I received service with very poor interaction. Cold, hesitant, and impatient. Orders were simple, as offerings of the day are simple. Nothing complicated, but chips, salsa, and tacos... the meal was bland and passable.Goodness gracious, no thank you. Maybe another day."
"Great place for an afternoon drink. Came in around 4:30 and there were only a few people there. Within an hour, the place was full. They have a good selection of beer on tap, three bartenders working the bar, and four TVs with sports and news on."
"Place is great, THS Wings and Sweet Heat are the move here. My friend Benji put me onto this place and I'd recommend everyone else as well. I've got to try other stuff like the desserts but haven't because I always show up later in the night when they're about to close to just pizzas. We've had Cameron as our Bartender most time(s) and had Rose and Devin a few occasions. 10/10 would recommend."

Great place all around! The shrimp tacos, the stuffed dates, the cream cheese filled jalapeño are some of my favorites items. The staff is super friendly. Lots of different things on the menu to choose from!

I came here because we wanted to try a new brunch place in Old Town Alexandria and this got some fantastic reviews. I was not disappointed in this quaint, charming, old fashioned diner. Food (5/5): We split the fried chicken biscuit. It was a bit pricey for a sammie, but it was HUGE and it came with a side of a fried egg and some fried fingerling potatoes. We ate half each and took some of the biscuit and the potatoes home. Service (5/5): Max was our kind, attentive server. Nothing to complain about! Ambiance (5/5): I loved the cool, dark old fashioned interior. Such a fabulous find!

As a somewhat regular at the Tombs and having dined at a few of the many Clyde's Restaurants, I can honestly say that my expectations were nowhere near as high as to the level of quality that my friends and I enjoyed tonight at the 1789.In a word it was simply "AMAZING". The service was flawless, there were there when we needed them and mysteriously disappeared when we were set. Sometimes in fine dining the service staff can be hovering over us like Seagulls on the prowl at the Jersey Shore. We took our time to consume three courses and an enjoy a few libations. The dining room is intimate and inviting the fireplace was lit aglow, warm and comforting to sit by.The menu is adventurous but not contrived or so esoteric that we needed to google explanations so that we might navigate our choices. Presentations were elegant and simple with the emphasis on execution. Unlike so many trendy new places around DC seem to be awash in multiple concoctions that involve far too many syllables. The flavors were on point and the kitchen showed a prowess that must only come as a notice that it's all about the taste, the freshness and the seasonality that we find ourselves in. The New Bedford Seared Sea Scallops were delicious, plump and sweet. And the accompanying sauce just perfectly paired with the Scallops. The Escargot garlicky and salty. The only ever so slight misstep was with the Grilled Octopus, a wee tad rubbery possibly didn't poach long or slow enough to tenderize the tentacles before they were finished on the Grill. Our Entrees were all eagerly passed around the table and there was unanimous agreement that all four were perfect. We sampled the Lamb, the Halibut, Duck and the Wagu Short-ribs, whose taste and tenderness took me back to a similar experience 30 years ago at a small French Cafe in Newport. In my Humble opinion this entire experience was undoubtedly the finest meal I've ever been served in our Nations Capital.Reservations are almost always a must but trust me it is indeed worth the wait. Everyone got dessert because we were all part of the Clean Plate Club.Of particular note was the 1789 Pastry Chef's interpretation of Classic Carrot Cake. Reservations are highly recommended and be assured that you will leave with a delicious taste in your mouth and an overwhelming urge to plan your return to the "1789".

Food was pretty good - they work very hard on presentation and it showed. I ordered soon tofu - the bottom half was hot (as it should be) the top was kinda still cold. Minus a star. There was a good amount of seafood in it too which was nice. I also ordered the pajun. It was good. Sauce was good too. Could have been crispier.

This is a cozy industrial looking spot with an open kitchen feel. The woman serving us was absolutely wonderful. She was so friendly and really made me enjoy my experience dining there. The onion rings and wings were so good. These onion rings are top their and the best I've had, they're crispy and breaded so perfectly - there was zero air between the onion and outer fried layer! The wings were delicious. We got naked wings and had all the sauces on the side. I tried the roast beef sandwich on sourdough, this was a recommendation from the server and it was delicious and there was plenty of meat. I also tried my friend's club on sourdough and this one was tasted fresh. The homemade chips on the side were very good! Can't wait to go back and maybe enjoy a beer next time too. All the sandwich options looked great!

"Started off Sunday Funday with brunch here @3. Got seated 20 mins early. We sat in the middle section of the restaurant. Our table was wobbly but an employee came thru and helped to remedy the situationI got the Blackened Salmon Fillet & Eggs $25.95: Fresh pan-seared salmon, filleted daily, two eggs any style, home friesThis entree meal was delicious, filling and tastyFriend got the Organic stone-ground, 3 cheese grits, in a saffron white wine broth with Blackened Salmon$25.95. He said this was great. AND The GRITS were soooo good! I wish I got grits on the side :)We also opted for the Bottomless Mimosas, $30.00 each. For each flavor, the mimosas came in a carafe. The OJ and Peach flavor were the best to meA Live DJ started playing around 4p which was a lot of fun. Music was also playing before the DJ - good music!Glad we ended up coming here to brunch!"
"This was the BEST Indian food I've ever had. Hands down. It's a lovely little spot (albeit in a strip mall) that is tastefully decorated and smells amazing even from the parking lot. It was impeccable service and the FOOD. Oh my goodness. There were four of us and we shared 4 different entrees. The Mixed Grill was perfect because it gave you a few of the proteins in different spices. The black and yellow lentils were amazing. The NAAN was warm and crispy on the edges and soft and fluffy in the middle. We had a bottle of Indian Chenin Blanc that went great with our meal. Everything was absolutely delicious and we left not one bite uneaten. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. If you like Indian food- The Jewel of India in White Oak is where its at!"
"Came here for my friend's birthday and to check out restaurant week. We came in a party of 8 and had a reservation. We were seated right away and loved the decor of the restaurant. It's very spacious and they have a really good playlist. The restaurant week menu has really great portion sizes. We were not that impressed with the taste of the food. I will say I really enjoyed the wild mushroom croquette but the chicken Milanese tasted like eating an upside down fried chicken salad. There was a little sauce on the bottom but there wasn't enough to really tell what the flavor of it was. I got the dark chocolate mousse for dessert but was disappointed because the texture reminded me more of pudding. My friend's lemon olive cake was good but she thought it tasted a little too salty in certain bites. The best part of the meal was the bread they brought up with a little olive oil on it. The overall experience was only okay. I was hoping the food would could come out a little sooner than it did. I probably wouldn't eat here again by choice but the service is really nice and maybe someone else would like it. The overall consensus from my group was a little disappointment."
"I love lost dog cafe. It's an institution in Arlington! Huge variety of sandwiches and pizzas. They are very accommodating of allergies. The staff is always super friendly."
"5 Stars!...across the board & great customer service!!I was really impressed with the food here and the vibe of this seemingly popular neighborhood restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you can tell Brooklyn's Finest is a main stable for DC locals in the neighborhood. Lots of folks were greeting each other and seemed to know one another as they walked in. The menu was straightforward, the portions were very generous, and the food was fantastic--on point! There are lots of American fare and comfort food classics to choose from. Everything I tried from the Birria Tacos to the Catfish n'Grits was delicious. The Catfish n' Grits was a standout dish and I recommend. The catfish was crispy, cooked perfect and soooo seasoned.....along with a side of braised kale that was exceptional in flavor. The grits took me back to my hometown Savannah, GA where we like and make them "stiff"....while loaded with flavor and cheddar goodness to taste. I mean so stiff you can almost slice it like a cake. That's when you know you got some down- home grits and cooking. Brooklyn's Finest delivered on this dish...that's for sure! You can tell everything here is made to order, fresh and well made. The drinks and libation gets a thumbs up as well. The mixers are strong here and they have a nice variety of beer on tap as well. Talk about a "Win Win!"....good food & libation; along with great portions and price point....you can't beat that!I will definitely be back!"
"My last review for 2024! I was here with a group for dinner this past weekend, and I'm glad to finally have an excuse to come here. Chef Geoff's is in a great location, and the main dining area is spacious and attractive. They have an excellent zero proof cocktail menu, and the Cranberry Bliss Mule was bright, not overly sweet, very tasty. I only had the drink because I had other dinner plans later, but everyone else seemed happy with their orders, and a few people got dessert too. I really like the bar and would want to make my next visit focused there. The happy hour menu is extensive and available every day of the week, which is amazing for DC. Sadly the food on that menu is not vegetarian friendly, but maybe I could do an appetizer from the main menu. The service was really the highlight of the visit for me. The host and hostess were courteous and welcoming, and the server for our table was friendly and very accommodating to our group. Chef Geoff's was a great experience for a final weekend outing for the year."
"Kusshi in downtown Bethesda offers an exceptional dining experience with fresh, expertly prepared sushi and generous portions. The chicken katsu, salmon avocado hand roll, sushi roll, dragon roll, and salmon teriyaki were all delicious, with the sushi's freshness and quality standing out. Entrée portions were generous, leaving us with leftovers for the next day, and the pricing was reasonable given the quality and size. The staff were accommodating, and the kid-friendly atmosphere made it perfect for a family outing. For dessert, the mochi was a delightful ending, with the sesame flavor being our favorite. Kusshi seamlessly combines great food, attentive service, and a welcoming ambiance, making it a place we're eager to revisit."
"Pizza is delicious and fresh! Love this place and the best employees too. Ate here 3 times during the week I was recently visiting DC. If you're in town definitely check it out!"
"As soon as I walked in the first thing i noticed was how nice the place was. The hostess was really nice and very accommodating as I was the first person in my party to arrive. I was able to sit at the bar and have a couple of mimosas while I waited. The guava mimosa was just ok and the mango was pretty decent. The brunch is $60 to include unlimited mimosas, unlimited mains and starters on the menu, and the omelet and waffle station. That's a pretty great deal. I tried the fish taco(salmon). Nothing special but others loved it. The Brussel sprouts were good, the Mac n cheese was blah. My omelet was really good and I topped It with the lamb that came with the benedict. The DJ was definitely cranking out some bangers which made the brunch even more appealing. Outside of the waiter overcharging us when we split the bill, everything went well and I will be back."
"My review for Trummer's is long overdue! We've been visiting here for about three years after originally getting lots of recommendations for a nice anniversary spot. Since our first visit, we've enjoyed many special events and excellent meals with friends and family. The service is always top-notch from the friendly host desk to the incredible waitstaff. The transformed home venue is really cute, and we always head home feeling like we've had a special experience. Although it's not currently on the menu (which rotates and features seasonal items), the whole-roasted branzino is insanely delicious. It's rare to find a local restaurant that offers a whole fish, and all that effort on the chef's part is well worthwhile. The wine list is incredible, and the wine flights are perfect to enjoy with a meal. I can't recall ordering anything that I didn't like, and they are always willing to omit items for any food allergies. Well, writing this review made me pretty hungry, so I think a reservation to Trummer's is coming very soon in my future!"
"City Kitchen is a nice casual place to grab dinner. It feels comfortable inside, with a bar to the left with additional seating at tables - and booths on the right side for non-bar dining. The food:Fried artichokes - looked interesting. They were crispy and a bit salty at the initial few bites. With the sauce, it was better. A good app. Pork chop - again, my first couple bites were a bit salty but the rest was flavorful, cooked perfectly juicy, and I really liked the favor the char gave it. The potatoes were ok and so were the veggies, but they were both unremarkable. Both could have used some seasoning so I just put pepper on them. The cheesecake was just ok and my least fave item of the night which is rare for me because I love desserts. All in all, I'd come back if I was in the area and wanted a hearty, casual meal."
"I stopped by a couple weeks ago on a Thursday during lunch with a friend. I liked that we could order on screens, but it would have been nice if we could look at a menu before ordering. I had to pull it up on my phone. After ordering, the service seemed pretty hectic. I went inside to pick up my order, and the employees sent me to two different places to get it. I also got an automated text before the food was actually ready, so I had to wait inside. The food was amazing, though! I had a Buffalo Blue grilled cheese and I loved the crispy bread and great flavors! This is a fun place to stop if you're a grilled cheese fan or are coming by with a friend."
"Chanced upon a reservation before a show at the Atlantis. It exceeded expectations ... the selection of drinks was pretty stellar (not much wine but tons of everything else and lots of specialty and Japanese drinks). Our server was amazing (Andria maybe?) and food and drink came quickly and it was so hot and fresh and delicious. Knocking of a star because the ambience isn't really there. It's just blah. It needs some cushions or plants or stones or just something. Would recommend for food - ramen was especially tasty! And there's a vegan option with eggless noodles."
"This college bar is on the George Washington University campus. There are two floors of diners and lots of tables inside and out. This is an old historic pharmacy that's turned into a casual restaurant bar. Happy to walk in from the National Mall and be able to get a table for lunch A Very nice casual lunch menu with a big bar. They are known for their tater tot and they have a whole top menu, including tater tot covered in nachos. My husband ordered salad and I ordered a California veggie burger with tots of course. Ainsley, our server took good care of us. My burger was very good. I enjoyed the tater tots with the three different dipping sauces. My husband wasn't impressed with his nacho salad.Lunch was generous and reasonable, but we were surprised at 3% surcharge was added to our bill ."
"We were here for New Year's Eve. It was very good. Our table started with the wings, which were very good, fried green tomatoes, good. We then had salmon, mussel special, beat salad, burger, and ravioli. All were very good. The mussels special was just good. The flavoring was ok. Honestly, if I wanted mussels, I probably would have gone across the street to mussel bar, so my mistake. Service was on point. I mean. It's New Year's Eve. It's busy. That's hard to do and they did it. All in all. It's a great place to go for upscale American bar food with a twist."
"I specifically set out to try BB&G Happy Hour & made it here with 5 mins to spare.Part of a boutique style hotel, the retro style bar area offers a colorful bar & red leather booths.Tiffany, our Bartender was generous with her service & casual social engagement. Standard HH menu offering food & drinks under $8 seven days a week, 4P-7P.Nestled in the Dupont neighborhood with street parking that's free on the weekends after 6P. To note, the restaurant has a two story lounge with an open air patio. A couple of blocks from the Farragut North Metro Station - Red Line. I'll definitely make my way back here, especially to visit the Sky Bar."
"The SAX Dinner Theater and Lounge is a beautiful space, with ornate chandeliers and plenty of seating both on the main floor and upstairs.I came here for a get-together, and it was a great time - the staff were very friendly and personable, and the bites that we had were delicious (ie, beef teriyaki skewers, grilled cheese & tomato soup in a cup, fried mac & cheese balls, charcuterie, etc.)!Cocktails were strong and prepared well, and the live entertainment (aerial dancer, DJ, and a live band) were all great.Definitely a great venue for holidays, get-togethers, and celebrations!Metered street and garage parking available.+tasty bites+friendly service+metered street and garage parking available"
"Was out in VA today for a family sporting event and decided to try this restaurant for dinner.1st and foremost, customer service was A1! So that was an immediate plus. Everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant. Next the food was also top tier. I had the salmon with potatoes and broccolini. My son had the cheeseburger with fries. My mom had the crab cake with coleslaw and fries, I will say the crab cake was on the smaller side but it was enough for my mother. My dad had the half rack of ribs with coleslaw and fries. Everyone gave a 10/10 including the drinks (margarita, daiquiri and expresso martini). Definitely a nice meal to end my long day. There is plenty of parking. Ambiance is nice, can be for a nice date night meal, family, or happy hour. They do bring out bread with butter before your meal, definitely a nice perk and TASTY! They do have happy hour everyday and NFL Sunday happy hour 1-7 during football season. Kids menu has enough options even for a picky eater (example; Mac n cheese, hamburger, chicken tenders)Definitely recommend if you're in the area!"
"Lupo Marino, located in the wharf area in DC, offers Italian dining. I like the location and the decor. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining options. The staff were very nice but service was very slow. I had some calamari and the Spaghetti Rosa. The calamari was consistent with what you would expect. The spaghetti was OK, but still filling. The expresso martinis were fantastic. I would give this restaurant another try. I will try different menu items next time."
"I have seen and drove by this place so many times. I heard it was good and saw the reviews. So my sisters and I decided to come and fellowship and eat. And I am sooo glad we did. The place is small. But the ambiance is nice. The staff is friendly. Your food comes out pretty quick. The spice is level is not for the weak. So be careful. Level 1 is your best option unless you want your nose running and your throat to close. But if you have a tolerant for spice then you are good. The drinks were on point. They play some very good music. Make you tap your toes and want to bust out and do a move or two. I am definitely coming back!!! If you are in the neighborhood check out this place."
"Nostalgia! Came here for dinner with my better half and things look the same! I used to come to Jaspers many moons ago, 25 years to be exact! Yup, telling my age! Food is okay. Neighborhood bar/grill vibe! Pours at the bar are FANTASTIC, hence the 4 stars! I had one drink and I was DONE. One and done here so do the math on that, score! Crab egg rolls are on the menu....they are good.I had the salmon and shrimp, it was decent. Overall, fair! 3 stars for food! Service, 5 stars! Everyone was nice! 5 stars for the bar.... Overall 4 stars from this old frequent customer."
"It is Ground Hog Day. Having some drinks in this gin mill. If u like to enjoy an adult beverage after 9pm. Come on down. Not for the faint of heart. Music chilling. I have to say for all the cool cats; come n chill brothers n sisters."
"Came on a Thursday with my colleagues to celebrate a colleague's retirement. We had a reservation, were seated right away, and had excellent service. Our party of 12 was served promptly, orders were accurate; and drinks were refilled before we could ask. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we all enjoyed our time together. I had the roasted turkey sandwich which seemed perfect for a fall lunch. Don't forget to get your parking validated for a discount. This is a great place for large groups. We had a 5* experience."
