"Great place: quality food, good prices, friendly and efficient staff and service. Ambiance is good. I stop by between jobs in the morning when in that area: quick in and out: get coffee and bagel. Coffee is good quality/tasty, bagels always fresh and crispy (toasted), fresh cream cheese/lettuce/tomato/onion and sometimes lox... Thank you."

"News flash!Bullfrog makes pumpernickel-everything bagels.Pumpernickel fans, our ship has arrived. They're sensational."
"Having driven past this place many times, I decided to stop in and give it a shot. I was pleasantly suprised! The prices are great and the portions are big! We tried the Booey's Platter, 3 pancakes, and a side of bacon. Everything tasted amazing! Eating in was pleasant, but know that the atmosphere inside is more fast food-ish than eating breakfast somewhere like IHOP. This will definitely be my new breakfast spot from now on. I also intend to give their sandwiches a shot soon."
"We are so glad to see this cafe do well in our neighborhood. I believe in cafes in every neighborhood. We walk our dog every morning and grab hot chocolate and coffee when we walk by this place. They have recently redid their interiors. Looks much spacious now and very welcoming. With my drinks, I often get their samosa or spinach puffs. It's so good. For lunch, my go to is their Ethiopian combo. They have 5 different veggies and recently added meat as well. Absolutely delicious! Depending on how busy they are, expect to wait for the Ethiopian entree. Worth it."
"If you are going to Sarah's for ice cream, make sure to swing by Georgetown to pick up bagels for your next meal or breakfast tomorrow. When I drove to this area, my intent was just to get Sarah's. When I saw that this store front just a few steps away, I had to stop in. I'm really glad I did. Incredible bagels, even next day. I ordered blueberry and pumpernickel rye. I also got a small container of the whitefish salad, which is SO. GOOD. I would actually go out of my way just to get that from Georgetown Bagelry. What set this visit apart was the customer service. I came in right at the last minute, when the store front was dead and ready to close up. Even though it was late and the end of the day, the staff was friendly and even struck up conversation with me, rather than quickly pushing me out the door."
"Best bakery in area. The pies are the bes! And the pastries a most try when in the area!"
"I really enjoy Chez Lily! Welcoming ambiance, quiet, and delicious food and beverages. Love their seasonal drink offerings and breakfast sandwich!"

I think I found my new favorite bagel in DC.This hidden Dupont gem offers up amazingly soft bagels with a nice crispy/toasty exterior, which are fantastic when they come fresh out of the kitchen.I stopped in early on a Wednesday morning and didn't encounter much of a line. I was able to call-in my order so it was ready for me upon arrival. Note: they are cash only.In an time where bagel shops with ties to New York are popping up all over town, I hope that this small bagel shack remains a little bit under the radar so I can enjoy a quality bagel without the lines that comes with the more hyped-up places.

For two decades we've been loyal customers of Ize's. Owners Lee and Angie Greenberg could not be nicer. The food is amazing. My favorite is actually the French toast and the bagels are tasty with so many varieties. I'm a fan of the brownies and chocolate tops too,If you want to support a locally owned restaurant where the owners are there every day to ensure the best care of their patrons, Ize's is the place!!!

I've been a fan since the early 90's. Was in town recently for homecoming and took my kids. They're now fans too. Seems to be different ownership now, but the kept the recipes.

I was in the area around breakfast time and wanted a bagel sandwich. I came across Georgetown Bagelry after doing some research on local breakfast sandwich shops. This is a traditional bagel shop tucked at the end of a mini plaza. Overall it was an OK experience. They prepare and bake their bagels on site (as you can see from the photos). I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on everything bagel and a bacon, egg, and cheese on plain bagel. The sandwich taste and quality was what you'd expect from the typical quick-service, morning bagel shop that prepares breakfast sandwiches. Georgetown Bagelry is definitely an option for breakfast sandwiches if you are in the area and I'm sure the locals in the community appreciate this bagel shop. The plaza where this bagel shot is located does have a parking lot which is a plus. Give them a shot.

The bagel sandwiches are good, and the carrot cake was also really good. A great place for a fast lunch or to pick up a quick desert for the office.

Chez Lily is one of the most underrated gems in this city. This is one of my absolute favorite places to come to study and get work done during the day. It is never too crowded, provides a great atmosphere to get work done, and provides more affordable (and great quality coffee). As a small business in Mt. Vernon, they help make the neighborhood feel more native and homey. One of the best parts of this place is that it is a dog-friendly cafe (they have a dog water fountain and treats) which means dogs are coming in and out throughout the day. One thing that astounds me about this place is how much they care about their patrons. The owner usually comes in on the weekend and is always attentive to the needs of everyone here. They also have unique seasonal drinks (I think about the maple cinnamon latte from fall frequently) which is always exciting to try. Furthermore, they have a variety of dairy-free alternatives to their coffee (oat, macadamia, and almond I believe). They recently opened an outdoor seating area which I will be excited to take advantage of when it gets warmer.

"Stopped here for lunch while in DC and was really impressed with the quality of food. It's always difficult being on vacation- you never want to repeat places, well, at least I don't. I like the idea of trying new things, but I wouldn't be mad trying this place again.Walk in and you're bumping into the ordering area. Deli Zique features a variety of salads, wraps, and sandwiches (both lunch and breakfast). I felt like the ordering convention was a little mixed up. People kept leaving and coming back into line. They handed me food that wasn't mine- before I even ordered. Free snack? Nope. I gave the food to it's rightful owner and then ordered my own.I tried their chicken salad on a roll. You can pick from a variety of different bread options. The bread was fresh and the chicken salad was really good. You can tell it hadn't sat long. Nothing is worse than questionable mayonnaise products.I paid, grabbed my fountain soda in the island where all that stuff was located (drink, napkins and so forth). The dining area was small and tidy, not overly clean, but definitely not a mess. The manager was there and was really friendly. One of those guys who you can tell loves his job which is nice.It is definitely a good lunch spot if you're in the area."
"Pretty good bagel shop, located on the street front of the lobby of The Hotel at the University of Maryland.Mainly bagels and bagel sandwiches, they also have muffins and assorted baked goods. Juices, coffee, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit, etc. Salads, wraps, sandwiches, and soups as well.Do yourself a favor and order ahead. The line can be a fairly long wait. You don't have to order at the counter in order to take advantage of the spacious seating, ample tables and comfy armchairs.Really the perfect breakfast spot if you're staying at the hotel. The prices may be a touch high for college kids, but if you're staying at the hotel, you just may prefer things a bit quieter anyway."
"I like this place. It has a humble interior but it feels authentic to me for some reason. I ordered an everything bagel with lox and the works plus sprouts. It was a little expensive but delicious. I'm sure I'll go back when I get the craving."
"I stopped in today (8/12/2020) to grab some lunch since it's right around the corner from my office. Cornerstone used to have a salad bar buffet and hot food buffet (breakfast and lunch) pre-COVID (which was ALL delicious) but they had to change their offerings due to COVID. I was pleased to see that they still have their sandwiches, but what I really liked is that they now offer pre-made Korean platters and rice bowls.I decided to try the Spicy Dwaegi (Pork) Bulgogi and it did not disappoint! You get SO much food in one platter. Mine came with rice, bulgogi, steamed veggies, 2 pieces of shrimp that come with a creamy spicy sauce,, 2 chicken dumplings, grilled veggies, jap chae, an egg omelette, and kimchi/radish. Everything was super fresh and delicious. They also have other flavors (Salmon and Chicken Katsu platters among others) and Chicken rice bowls. The staff is really nice too and shout-out to Kookie, the owner! I will definitely be back to try the rice bowls and other platters. If you are in the Logan Circle area, you should definitely check Cornerstone out!"
"An unassuming bagel shop tucked into a corner of Georgetown. Interestingly they sell both bagels and empanadas! My friend and I tried the bagel with lox, which is always a classic and the Georgetown breakfast bagel. The bagel itself felt fresh, well toasted, and had the chewy bagel texture. The ingredients were well packed and there was just enough cream cheese. Interior and outdoor seating. There's even a downstairs with more seating!"
"This is one of my favorite salads in the city (when I'm not trekking to find a Sweetgreen). Seriously. Atrium Cafe has really fresh and large portioned salads for $8-9 which you just can't find anywhere else. The dressings are by far the star of the show, and they have so many options to choose from. My absolute favorite is sesame ginger. My salad of choice is the Quinoa Avocado, but I've also tried the Chicken Caesar and the Cobb, which were very good. In addition to salads and pre-proportioned deli items in the fridge when you walk in, they make sandwiches. I recommend the hot pastrami or the turkey sandwich. Just like the salads the portions are great - very big. I usually have an entire half leftover. The line moves fast. Enjoy!"
"After mass at Saint Joseph's, my wife and I stopped in for lunch. I had the borscht soup combo with ham and cheese crêpe. My wife had a salad with tuna. The price was reasonable, and the borscht was the best I have ever had. Friendly staff, Quick and easy to sit and eat. Will definitely go back."
"I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at Bullfrog Bagels in Western Market while I stayed in DC recently. Being that I was working within the 2000 Penn building that is connected through the lobby level of Western Market, Bullfrog was the obvious choice for breakfast in the morning. The Salmon BLT was magical with the salmon, bacon, tomato, and cream cheese on a toasted sesame bagel, while the standard Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a toasted pumpernickel was delightful especially with the melted cheese and bacon. The bagels were wonderfully made and distinctive, made with a lot of craft and care. The nitro cold brew was also very good and served a great pick me up in the morning. The indoor area where you order is very warm and comfortable and the turnaround time is quite fast. You have to eat at one of the tables in Western Market but there are plenty near the Bullfrog entrance. Definitely a great go-to bagel breakfast spot."
"Great bagel, good prices, quick and fast service. We ordered the traditional Bacon, Egg, and Cheese and the Lox bagels. They were both hearty and a good portion for the price!"
"Quick service and friendly. Ordered breakfast eggs over easy. Nice people. Location is difficult to find in the building."
"Absolutely loved Bar Bullfrog! My friends have raved about it for a while now and I just moved over into the neighborhood so I had to try it out for myself. It's small and cozy and the bar is perfect for a low key meal. It wasn't very crowded once a birthday party wrapped up, but that was more than fine by me. The bartender was very friendly, the food tasty, and they have wine on tap! My favorites were the butternut squash ravioli and the bagel dogs - yum. Can't wait to go back again and again!"
"Simply...THE BOMB!! I go to the BB in Le'fant Plaza and it is always delicious. I appreciate that I can order by scanning the thingy (lol..brain fog) No cash needed. I'm a creature of habit so I ALWAYS get a cheeseburger plain, fries with sea salt and a fountain drink (Root Beer...Yes, I'm old LOL). It's in a food court so as far as ambiance, ummm, it's a food court! My only complaint is that if I'm paying $6 for a large fry, what are you crumpling paper up and putting it in the bottom of the fry bag? Am I technically getting a large serving (I know...fat talk) or are you cheating me Basic Burger because ALL size fries come in the same bag. The only reason I haven't acted like a Burger Karen is because I tell myself this unjust fry situation is for my own damn good! LOL! Anyway...go to Basic Burger!!"
