I recommend letting it soften and be a bit more creamy and sweeter.I recommend bread and butter with the soup.I recommend iced hibiscus tea in lieu of hot. Please do not change anything about kofta. I would go again just for kofta. My friend liked his lamb meal."

"Huge fan of Sheesh. I've been coming to Mosaic to get my hair done for over a year and if it's during a time when I need to grab a meal, Sheesh is at the top of the list. My faves are clearly (I mean, look at my pics. Haha) the chicken kabob platter with the juicy flavorful chicken, spinach, chickpeas, and rice. Love the green/hot sauce but will also use the other sauce as well.The burger was such a surprise to me. I got it just 2 weeks ago (oh yeah, I get my hair done every other week) for the second time and it was as good as I remembered. Really SO many delicious spices that it's better than a "regular" burger. I get it with fries which are super crunchy, just how I like them. Pro-tip: You can pay with the inKind app and take advantage of the deals they give and it's so convenient. I will be coming back."

"The kabob by which all other kabobs are measured. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before. It is one of my favorite local haunts. All the kabobs and the naan are made fresh to order. Some of the sides are from a hot tray but that is because of the volume needed. Service is nice and humble. A great family owns this restaurant and they take pride in their restaurant. The atmosphere is simple but the warms of the owners fill the restaurant. Try the soup. It is awesome. And not on the menu."

"I came to Food Corner Kabob House on a Saturday afternoon. I had heard great things about this spot from a friend so I was excited to try. This restaurant shares a huge parking lot with multiple retailers so parking should not be an issue.My husband and I each ordered Boneless Chicken Kabob with Rice, Bread and Fried Spinach. The chicken was so juicy and full of flavor, bread came out steaming hot and fresh and the fried spinach was better than I thought it would be. I can see why my friend liked this spot so much. It took about 10 minutes after we put in our order for the food to come out, so be patient if it is a long wait... it is worth it! Luckily it was not super packed so we only had two customers waiting ahead of us. Overall the staff were friendly and polite and the food came out freshly made and secure in a takeout bag. I will definitely be back here soon :)"

"The restaurant was packed on a Sat night and opted to get takeout instead. We tried three dishes, my absolute favorite was Bulanee Gandana. It was different from anything I've ever had, and absolutely delicious. I loved it with the yogurt sauce. I ordered Kadu Palow because of all the raves about the dish amid the reviews. I don't know how I feel about it, the pumpkins were very very sweet and it feels more like a dessert, rather than a savory dish. It was a very divisive dish among my party, half really liked it, while the other half was confused by it. Overall, the meats were absolutely delicious and flavorful, and I would definitely love to come back again."

The white, Cilantro, and red sweet chili is what I opted for in mines.For the price here vs. Halal guys... you don't get more than 3 toppings without additional charges. Also they gave me someone else's order yesterday. I had ordered the chicken over rice platter and you get a choice of one side( chickpeas was mines) cucumbers, tomatoes, and cranberries. Instead I got lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. It wasn't a game changer, but I wish I got what I asked for. Also there was a LONG WAIT TIME, considering there was only 5 of us there with three workers, the order took almost 20 minutes to make. Now I know order ahead of time... other than that I was super happy with the overall taste and quality of the food. I will make sure to check my food before leaving next time. *I did find two pieces of men's hair in my good, I'm usually old about things like this...but I was hungry and just pushed a quarter of my food into the trash*"

"My wife ordered via food delivery service which offered a nice BOGO free offer on select items. I chose the Shami which is broiled ground beef and came with rice, chickpeas, and salad. I thought it was ok but didn't overwhelm me with flavor or wow factor to give it a higher rating. My son ordered Shami as well, felt the same, and is somewhat of a rice snob to where he didn't eat much of his rice. The naan was plentiful in quantity but not taste as it was simply bread. I also ordered the baklava as I typically do at restaurants who make it given time spent in the middle east, and hoping to find something comparable. The baklava here was small for the price, overly sweet, and seemingly saturated instead of flaky. I would try other options before returning to this restaurant given my perceived lack of flavor in the food with this experience."

I think a lot of curry the chicken is usually overcooked though and it's nature of the dish IMO.First time I ever had firnee (afghan custard?) and it was delicious. Had a vanilla flavor and it was a lot more delicate than flan but firmer than pudding. I looked up the recipe and it's not vanilla I'm tasting ... unless it's different than what I found on google. "This is our go to kabob spot and our five years old favorite "orange chicken" she's been eating the chicken and rice here since she was two! It's her birthday meal every year and everyone we've brought here has been impressed. Not just the flavor and sides but the staff here is unparalleled. You may walk in the door a stranger but you will be greeted like family and always want to come back!! Parking can be tricky... and the nearby lots are almost always packed, but you can wait inside, swing by shilla next door for some pasty deserts, or call ahead (which is what we usually do)."

But I would recommend carry out or dine in because the food is that good. The rice, veggies, and meat are all delicious. Both times I have come in the workers have been very helpful at getting my order ready so I old assume the done in service is excellent as well. Very good spot - highly recommend! "I went last night with some girlfriends and we're all SO excited to welcome this restaurant to our neighborhood. The ambiance was lovely, the wine was delicious and very reasonable ($28/bottle?!), the service was perfection (frequently refilling water, checking in but not rushing us since my friends and I had a lot to catch up on), and most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS. I need to try everything on the menu now. We started with the Baba Ganoush and the Mantu dumplings. OMG - the dumplings are the best thing I've eaten in a long time.For my main course, I ordered the Kofta Chalaw - slow-cooked beef meatballs in a rich tomato gravy served with rice. I ate too many dumplings so I brought half of this dish home and it was just as delicious the next day.A couple of my friends ordered vegetarian items, which were delicious and flavorful and only $9. We probably should have ordered a bunch of items to share.I can't wait to come back on a date night with my husband and/or to try brunch."

There are two entrances, one in the back behind the shopping center and one in the front of the shopping center where you have to walk down some stairs. I recommend the front entrance since it has more lighting outside.We ordered a hookah and some butter chicken. Both were good. The butter chicken tasted great, though it was darker and had more oil than normal. As for the hookah it was food and comparable to most places. I like how they give you an extra coal so you don't have to ask for one later."

The very high rating is not rating creep, it's earned.We were a 4-some for lunch. We shared an appetizer(delicious dumplings) , ordered different entrees and skipped dessert-to full. We had 2 drinks with alcohol and 1 w/o. This is my 1st Afgan Restaurant, unless my memory fails me. All four of us raved about our meals. The service is friendly and there were offers to answer any questions we had about the menu. I was warned that my dress was spicy, is an example of excellent service also. The service was very attentive but yet not distracting. We were the 1st table seated at about 11:30-ish & the 1st to leave. The place was really filling up as we left.Out timing was perfect so my TOTD is come early, if you can."
