Come here often but just writing another review since my friends from out of town came here and loved it as well. Favorite spot in DC!

My mom lives around the corner so the back solo table is my new remote outdoor spot. Good food I had a smoothie, habesha eggs and a cappuccino I recommend all 3. My case manager had tibs her first habesha dish and she loved it. Ideal for work meetings and remote work. Best café in the area for day work.

Buna bowl is a nice entry level dish into Ethiopian food - I like the couscous and the sauce. Very nice staff

Amazing food, drinks, service, and atmosphere! We tried one of their bowls and the avocado toast - both completely delicious and vegan. The coffee drinks are to die for. Highly recommend for vegans.

A Petworth gem that is not to be missed! Possibly my favorite of DC's many Ethiopian coffee shops and cafes. It's small inside but they've got a lot of outdoor seating. Solid coffee (I usually get iced coffee or a hot latte with oat milk) and even better food--American, Ethiopian, and fusion options for breakfast and lunch. I especially love the veggie roll-ups, such an ingenious way to transform the typical injera platter into an on-the-go takeout meal. The vegan options are stellar as well. I highly recommend the Ethiopic bowl and the vegan kitfo sandwich, they're so well spiced and satisfying!

This is always a reliable spot to grab a coffee, pasty, or a sandwich or some yummy Ethiopian food. The seating inside and out is super cute. The staff are amazing. It has a great community feel to it. Check out the community board for fun offerings in the neighborhood.

Delicious lunch and breakfast options! Everything tastes SUPER fresh and it's affordable. I order at least twice a week.Their coffee and iced teas are great as well! Lots of vegan/vegetarian options.

I've drove pass this place many times pointing and saying "oh buna" (Amharic for coffee). I prefer Ethiopian coffee than other coffee beans. I finally stopped by and have not regretted it yet. I get the sugar cookie latte a couple times a week now that I can't stay away. I believe it is seasonal as it is no longer available on the online menu. I will be trying the pumpkin flavor next. Every time I visit, I am kindly greeted by the employees. They are so sweet. I brought a friend to enjoy latte and tibs just to relax. She enjoyed her coffee as well!
