Sausage, Onions & Spice Pizza!I was so hungry & didn't have time to take a picture but it was soooo good! If you like spicy, try this pizza. I can't wait to try the other pizzas. Delish!!!

Delicious pizza & wings; nice place to buy cider, beer, wine, and one of the businesses on Kennedy really improving the strip. Mostly, I've ordered pizza and wings from Anxo; here and there I have ordered salad. The pizza is delicious; they craft a great dough, which goes a long way, and use high-quality toppings. Depending on the toppings, I have found sometimes the dough doesn't structurally hold-up (i.e. due to the grease from meat or water from veggies); however, still always it tastes great, and the outer crust is perfect. I love their pepperoni and I'm not a "pepperoni person". Also, they're very generous w/ amt of roni put on a pie. The Apple of My Pie pizza is perfect; wow. (I prefer w/out hot honey.) Their wings...are SO good; they're baked, meaty, juicy, flavorful. Their bleu chz dress is awesome; tastes house-made; very, very bleu and delicious. Prices can be on the steep side, its true, but its DC..., and this ain't fast-food pie like PH, PJ, D, etc....

I recently went to an event where I sampled the hummus, whipped feta, margherita pizza, pesto joint pizza, and the white pizza. All were fantastic, especially the pesto joint pizza and the hummus. The hummus had good smokiness and flavor, and the pesto joint pizza had an excellent balance of cheese and pesto. All pizzas had fantastic crusts, with a good chewy and crispy balance. The mushrooms and onions added great texture and flavor. I would highly recommend Brightwood Pizza and look forward to having it again!

We stopped by this place without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon and were seated immediately upon arrival. There were a few others in the restaurant but still had some space for a few more folks. I had a nice fruity mocktail that was mixed by our amazing waitress, wasn't on the menu but she was happy to make me one when I asked. For food we had the sausage, onion and spice pizza - this was so good but also more that it had some hot peppers which I enjoyed but gave it some kick. The anxo burger pizza was also different, as it was a burger in pizza form so came with ground burger beef, mozzarella, American cheese and a bunch of lettuce -unique and worth trying. The pizza portions were enough to serve 2, or 1 hungry person lol. The service was really friendly and the space was clean. Definitely stop by if you're in the Petworth/Brightwood area with some pizza cravings.

Note: There is a service charge, but the cashier pointed it out to me and noted no need to tip on top of it. That said 22% is a bit high when it's actually almost all self-service (you grab silverware, stand in line to order, but food comes out to you and tables are bussed)Ok on to the good part. The apple of my pie was delicious and the setting is just unmatched. Cute both inside and out, and on a Friday evening there is a buzz of families headed to the ice cream shop next door.

22% Service charge- Not for staffPretty good pizza. Not cheap. Food items are going up so price increase is tolerated. But putting a 22% service charge on the bill and then asking for additional tip. Going somewhere else next time.

I was done early with volunteering at the animal shelter (HRA) and one of the volunteers recommended I check at all the spots on Kennedy Street. Since Everyday Sundae was closed, I wound up at this pizza spot and I'm glad I did. I ordered a Pepperoni pizza to go - while it's not cheap ($21 including the 22% service charge), it's very flavorful and I LOVE that the pepperoni is crispy. For me, I can make two meals out of it! I had a great chat with the woman at the counter. Look like they have a great selection of ciders. They also have indoor door and outdoor seating - perfect for a beautiful sunny day like today. I'll be back!

I came in for the first time last with some girlfriends. We sat in the lower portion in the wine store. Ashley was super attentive! We started with the cauliflower and spinach and artichoke and both were divine!! The pizzas are all unique, but you can create your own. The apple pizza is white with apples and goat cheese and a drizzle of honey (not overpowering). The vampire slayer had a super spicy sauce but a blend of great flavors. All the drinks we tried were great! Vino verde is light and dry, and I also really enjoyed the spicy strawberry mule. I will definitely be back!

This is a great spot for the neighborhood and in general. Vice is chill. Food is really good. Pizzas and the other menu items. Always friendly staff. Great spot.
