Service here was fantastic. I got the vibe it was a family business. Staff was very accommodating.Nice spot to stop and grab a pizza and explore DuPont. Came with my kids and they loved the cheese pizza. I got the Roni Macha. I think the honey balanced the Macha spice. Cool combination. Atmosphere was welcoming and definitely got the vibe to chill eat and have a good time. Thanks Boogey and Peel, I don't leave to many reviews, but you guys deserve one. Ps. I think I heard the staff refer to one of the staff as Mom. If that's the case Mom was awesome, as Moms always are. My daughter dropped her jacket and Mom grabbed it and placed it on the chair in front of us so it wouldn't happen again. Just sweet.

Minus one star due to burned crust. You can see in the photos online that they mostly burn the crusts on all the pizzas. It tastes bad and I don't get it.Despite the burned crust, the middle of the pizza DOES taste awesome. $7 for a cheese pizza for happy hour, WHAT?! And good happy hour drink selection too. The place is tiny. Don't come with a large group. There's as much seating on the patio as indoors.

Fun creative pizza, nice casual happy hour spot! The Sweet Baby Christos veggie pizza was quite flavorful with red sauce, eggplant, garlic confit, pickled cherry peppers, herbs, feta, honey. The mildly spicy cherry peppers had a bold flavor and paired well with feta cheese, while the honey helped to balance it out. The eggplant was more subtle. While the herbs were an interesting touch with texture, it was a bit of an overload. I prefer the pizza with just a few toppings. The pizzas are medium size with 6 slices. While my friend and I shared a pizza, I could have conquered the whole pizza. The Salsa Macha Pimento Cheese was fun to try with warm, crispy chips. The cheesy dip paired well with the chips. The Spicy Margarita cocktail on happy hour was tasty with a mild spicy kick! The bubbly Lambrusco paired well with the pizza. It was a bit unclear on the pizzas offered during happy hour, they weren't listed on the mobile menu. The drinks were clearly listed. Aside from the Mushroom and Cheese Pizzas along with vegan varieties, I wish there was a classic Veggie Supreme pizza and a couple more vegetarian options.

I wanted to shout out their vanilla soft serve ice cream. From the dish it's served in to the taste, it's very good. On days I'm not in the mood for pizza, I'd happily swing by just for that.

You can tell they keep upping their game every time. Today's pizza had an even crispier crust which for me somehow made a perfect pizza even better. Their focaccia is they use for the sandwiches is so soft. I love the mix of cold and hot temperatures here. Y'all know I love the cool burrata on the Stracci but the cool chicken Caesar is great with the nice warm bread. Service is always amazing and my streak of ONLY coming into DC because of Boogy and Peel is unbroken . It's the sole reason why I cross the bridge.

Got takeout from here so can't speak much to the service or ambiance. We ordered the macha roni and 1/2 Buffalo/bbq wings. The pizza and wings were cold upon arrival, but the pizza maintained its flavor. The wings were unfortunately dry and sauce was light. Would consider trying again if dining in.

Staff is friendly and service was quick. Prices are on par with the area and there is an ambiance of support reflective of the DuPont Circle area. I would venture that most of the clientele were probably locals representative of the warm community here. The pizza here was solid- the tasty pepperoni with bitter matcha (that I couldn't taste but my friends could) , slight honey, and basil was a very nice touch. While I felt there wasn't anything knocking my socks off, I enjoyed my experience here and would totally come back. The matcha cookie was the highlight for me. The matcha and white chocolate flavorings were well balanced and reasonably moist. The local bakery they source from is a smart choice and they should continue to use them.If Boogy is not on TooGoodToGo, this may be worth considering as well. The local soda they use, I love the flavoring- especially with the use of real fruit, but I do not like their dependency on (high?) fructose (corn ?) syrup. I won't call myself a soda expert either but in this moment, I felt I needed to make an effort to investigate the bottle more. You know, to prepare to look for secret passages in the nearby O museum, haha. Also, my friends before more relatively simple combinations and I prefer more complex. If I am with good friends, it seems this was well balanced and I am naturally going to eat the same pizza with them. If I had been in more of a position to get something on my own, maybe my experience would be significantly different.

Amazing pizza, came in for a quick lunch and was blown away. Crust is between a Neapolitan and New York. Creative options, totally out of the norm. Great Spot, must stop.

This place was confusing, as someone looked ready to take my order but instead directed me to a table to order on my phone. The prices weren't that bad, I thought, until I saw the 18% service charge and the extra tip (defaulting to 10%) they wanted to add for it. They don't even offer table service! I am not a fan of these gimmicks; it's hard enough explaining to non-Americans how central tipping is here to begin with. If the economy demands it, at some point you just have to raise the price. Bill shenanigans aside, they make a nice pizza.I started with a salad, which does not come in a side portion, but I hadn't eaten much on the day so I gave it a shot. It was a delicious zingy (and apparently non-fish containing) sauce, and while kale is definitely not the most appealing of vegetables by itself, with the right preparation it can be good, and I managed to stuff down a big salad. Ordering my pizza with garlic confit yielded nothing garlicky I could see, but a strong garlic flavor that got in there somehow. It was salty, but also charred well and had a complex flavor with hints of sourness down to the last bite. I added an Italian bitter orange soda that was cola-like as the menu said and a delicious complimentary flavor. So despite some criticism, I enjoyed every bite. And I liked the dog-based decor.

What a great find! We were in the area and actually walking to a different restaurant when we happened upon Boogy and Peel. Decided to go in for the pizza and WOW! Quite possibly the best I've ever had. And that's coming from someone who grew up in the greater NYC area with, IMHO, the gold standard in pizza for the entire country. We had 2 pies recommended by our server: a Macha Roni and a Stracci Pie. We got both and they were amazing. If you don't like spicy, get the Macha on the side. I like it, wife doesn't. Adds a nice touch to the pepperoni pie. The Stracci was said to made fresh, in-house. Holy cow! Both pizzas were unforgettable. Well done, people! Well done!
