Bonkers' Chinese Burger

This was my first time trying this place and I must say, it was really good. I give it an A++. Service was superb and food was amazing too. The restaurant was a little small but worth the hole in the wall in feel. Bubble tea was delish,too!I'd go here again :D. Thank you, BCB

Really yummy place for some casual bites! The beef burger wasn't the juiciest and tasted like your typical soy marinated beef. I would recommend the pork which was less dry. I wasn't a big fan of the texture of the cold noodles but the sauce with peanuts was delicious and refreshing as a whole. Chili wontons were pretty standard and the oil didn't feel too heavy. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and next time I'd try their handmade dumplings.Also, i tried their boba and the bubbles were the perfect texture, i prefer a chewier bite!

Second time back here - this time to try the piglet buns, noodles and boba. I was expecting it to be filled with red bean paste or something but the piglet buns turn out to be filled with yellow custard paste? Wasn't quite sure what is it. The place reeks of a somewhat strange smell, the bathroom was very wet for some reasons (but clean), and they don't serve tap water. Food was good for DC Chinese food standards though.

I liked this place. The food was good overall. I ordered the traditional pork burger with cilantro, green pepper, chili oil, and onion. As a drink, I had the classic milk tea.The only complaints I have are that my burger wasn't warm. It was tasty, but it wasn't warm. I would also like it if they played more traditional music. Lastly, I think that the bathroom could look a lot better if it was filled with interesting traditional decor, as well as interesting mural paintings on the wall. I think it looks to bare.Other than that, I thought everything else was good, from the food to the atmosphere.

We only came here for drinks because I wanted to try e-tea! However their service was great!! The food menu is fun and I'd love to try next time! But when I first walked in, it smelled extremely awful. Like someone vomited. I think it's just their waste bucket they put next to the trash. Honestly,that's the only reason they lost a star... The drinks were amazing especially my Sakura cream on top of the matcha!!! I'd give all my stars for this drink again!!!

Bonkers Chinese burger is a local spot that served up great beef noodle soups, dumplings and more! When I visited, they were overswamped with online and in person orders but despite this, they were kind and willing to work on your order once you arrived and asked. Everything we tried was good! From the dumplings, the buns, the beef noodles, nothing was bad! The chili oil they used for their sauce and the beef noodle was fragrant and excellent. The boba we got was a bit more syrupy than I would like but the food was the star. Come here for your fast fix of Chinese food! (The Chinese burgers were not available for online order when I was ordering, I don't know if that's a normal occurrence or if that was a product of the busyness but something to note).

Came to this restaurant with the app "Too Good To Go". They are incredibly generous for deals via the app - $5 for a hearty meal and a bubble tea. The food is unique and amazing quality and the service was polite and fast. The restaurant is in a convenient location near Capital One Arena. Will definitely be back!

I really wanted to love his place but fell short of expectations. NYC has better spots.The beef burrito was not the same as in their photos. It was so dry and chewy. The pork burger was ok. Needed more flavor. A little sale goes a long way. Their free chili oil is Americanized and not spicy at all.The soups and sandwiches are decent sized though. Good place a for a quick affordable bite. E-Tea drinks were good though! Free drink when ordering first time on their app.

I wanted to go with four stars for Bonkers', but one of their items was not fully edible. Ordered as delivery and it arrived accurate and temperature appropriate, so a promising start. The food was slightly over salted, but not unbearable. The taste was good on everything ordered, including the pork burger featured at the top of their online mobile page. However, the pocket bread for the pork burger was mostly rock hard. Seriously, could not continue to eat it without potentially chipping teeth. I had to throw away half the bread unfortunately. I don't know that I would order from here again, but if I did would have to skip the pork burger or have assurance on the bread being consumable.

I love the rich/deep favorable beefy broth so many different spices, the beef was super tender and juicy, the pickled green added the perfect hint of sour to cut through the beefy broth. The braised egg added nothing to the soup and didn't have a lot of favor besides the soy. The service was super quick, the place was small but cozy.
